Things you NEED in the parks

Poncho, water bottles, wallet, phone, juice pack for phone, a little first aid kit, shout wipes, anti-bac wipes, a bag of quarters & pennies for the pressed penny machines, sunglasses and nail clippers. (Both for opening tough packaging and hangnails)

The basics:
Wallet
Phone
insulated water bottle lanyard
sunscreen
hat
sunglasses
bandaids (we always seem to need one or two)

I usually take a small messenger style purse and add a package of wipes and a snack or two.

sunscreen, advil and migraine pills unfortunately, a few band aids, hand sanitizer, phone, and ponchos. Sooooo glad I am done with all the baby and toddler gear. Loved those days with my boys but man I so don't miss all that packing!

Actually INSIDE the parks????--very little!!!

Cash, credit card, AP and photo i.d. NO cell phone!

I can't imagine schlepping all the stuff that others do.....

For Adults:

(Will buy anything else, including ponchos, as needed)

Pre-kids all I took into the parks was money/CC, ID, and a camera.

With kids, I'll need a small bag: bottled water, snacks, sunscreen, change of clothes/ziplock bag for costume, maybe ponchos.

It really depends on how outdoorsy you are (we need cooling towels, sunscreen, foot protection, body glide, etc) and how prepared you want to be (ponchos, changes of clothes, wet wipes, games for long lines). People have different styles of touring. We take a bigger pack because we like to be prepared.

we travel light...ID, insurance card, DVC & TIW cards, cash, camera & phone, lip balm and maybe some advil or tylenol and band aids.

This has been helpful. Trip is coming up shortly and only want to bring things I need into park.

a little first aid kit,

Yes some will say you don't need it you can go to first aid. What if first aid is on the other side of the park and you just need a band aide?

We carry band aides, ibuprofen, benadryl and few other things my wife likes to carry like an epi pen.

As just two adults.. Cell phone, lip balm, ID, credit card, TIW card (depending on plans for the day), a tiny little bottle of ibuprofen/antacid , and car keys. That's it. DH carries his cell phone and wallet.
We started out taking all the 'extra' stuff - snacks, extra socks, etc. in a backpack, but found we didn't use any of it. Then we found the joy that is no bag check line and haven't looked back.

I don't leave for the parks without sunscreen, band-aids, a small toiletry bag (travel size deodorant, mattifying face powder, chapstick), and my wallet.

We have to take britta water bottles even when we visited in December on our last short day. We are just a family of drinkers :drinking1:).
