Things to do in Baltimore, MD "We are back in ALABAMA!!"

Oh no! I hope the famous Hot dog didn't catch up with her!:rotfl2::lmao:
Seriously hope she is feeling better!!

If you do go to Hershey and WANT to make an overnight of it, something else to do in the area would be the Indian Echo Caverns. If you haven't been to a caverns before, it should be really interesting. My dh is a regular patient at Hershey Medical Center and we have been telling ourselves for fifteen years now that one of these days we're going to allow ourselves extra time and visit the caverns.

The caverns are fun... I forgot about those! I went once when I was 13! Good times!! :thumbsup2

The caverns sound like fun, but I am sure it will just be a day trip.

I took the kids to the Towson Mall today and man that is a crazy mall! I really liked it but it sure is laid out different from any mall that I have ever been in. I do like the great selection of stores though, but it's no place to go if you are in a hurry. My son's cell phone was messing up so I took it to the tmobile store there and they exchanged it with no problem. :thumbsup2

Lindsey, my middle child, decided to cook some kraft mac & cheese in the microwave this morning,:stir: but she forgot to put the water in the bowl so it burnt. It STILL smells like smoke in here. :firefight That was a great wat to start off the day.

Yes the Layout of that mall is less than Desirable... try Columbia Mall too while you are hear...layout is a bit better. Towson has actually been built in three stages over the years. It used to be a ricatty dumpy mall like 20 Plus years ago... and then they added on two upper levels... Then 2 years ago they added on the Crate And Barrell, pottery barn wing... LOL Its Not a great place to go with a STROLLER! LOL

Yes, I felt sorry for the mommies there with strollers today. It's not a very good mall for shopping with kids at all. :rotfl2: I LOVE White Marsh Mall though. :thumbsup2

so where did you go today>!!??

TARGET!!! :lmao: We stayed at home & I ran to Target & the grocery store to pick up a few things. It was to darn HOT to do anything!! I took the kids to the pool after dinner but that's all we did today. DH said that it should be a little cooler soon. It was 99 back at my house today with a heat index of 110!! It made me glad to be here!

I am thinking about taking the kids to the Aquarium at the Harbor tomorrow, if I can get them to bed!! They have been staying up late and wanting to sleep late. It has been driving me crazy!! :rotfl2:

Headed to the Aquarium!!:dance3: They were up way to late last night (3am), but I guess the thought of doing something fun has made them get out of bed. Lauren is not to happy about it, but the other two are excited!!:cool1: For a moment I thought Lauren would miss it, but I told her we would not be going back so she better get UP! uhhh, teenagers!!

I just googled directions, so wish me luck!!:rotfl2: I'll post pictures later!!:thumbsup2

oh super easy to find!! You'll be fine!! Wave to my hubby when your down there! He works in a building right around the corner!! :thumbsup2
Can't wait to see pictures!!

We had a great day today at the Aquarium. We arrived about 11:45 and got our tickets for the aquarium, dolphin show & movie. We had to wait a few minutes to go in, but that gave me time to get a video of the area around the aquarium. We LOVED the aquarium. We have been to several, like the one in Atlanta, Chattanooga & Ripleys in Gatlinburg, and I have to say that I really did like this one just as much. I LOVED the dolphin show. I don't remember the other ones having anything like that, but if they did we didn't do it. I also loved the planet earth movie in 4D. The snow, water, wind & shark attack effects(poking in the back like at ITTBAB at Animal Kingdom) was quite fun for us. We all loved it.

Here are some pictures.

Sounds like fun! I really like the Harbor area. I kind of wanted to go to the mall there but we ran out of time.

Yes, tomorrow is our White House tour and I am excited & worried at the same time. I just hope we can find it OK and all of that. Laurens ID did make it here so we are set.

I took Lindsey in to the DR this morning to have her ankle looked at & she has a sprain, from cheering. She did a round off backhandspring tuck just before cheer camp and landed wrong. She has been in a brace but it was still bothering her so I had it xrayed today. No break, thank goodness, but all of this walking is killing her. They gave her a new brace and hopefully it will help. Who knows:confused: Keep your fingers crossed.:) If she would just sit still it would get better but she is constantly dancing & moving around. Kids!!

I have got to go down to the office in a few minutes. We have been killing ants for a couple of days so they need to come spray. The ants must be bad up here. I see them everywhere.

oh I feel the pain on the whole foot thing! I sprained my foot in April and I am still Limping/in pain.. HORRIBLE... doc said I would of been better off if I had broken it! UGH
take lots of pictures tommorow! cant wait to see your day in DC!!

Oh don't tell me that!! There has got to be something that they can do for a sprained foot. I almost asked them to put a cast on it. They said that I could take her and have an MRI done on it to see if the ligaments (sp) were pulled or torn, but I just paid 500.00 for an xray of her hip for the same thing, and I was told that it will have to heal on it's own, so what's the point? ugh! How did you hurt your foot?

I just saw that it may rain tomorrow. This whole time it has not rained, but you let me plan something like this and boom! :rotfl2: I'll take pictures anyway. Hey, got any last minute tips?:rotfl2: I could use them!!:thumbsup2

I fell off the curb in the front of my house.:sad2::sad2: I felt like such an idiot! My neighborhood is under construction...and their were guys on a roof watching me hobble into the house. I wanted to DIE! I am sure it was quite entertaining for them. I need to go back to the dr myself, but I HATE the docs! UGH
I fell 6 weeks before our Disney trip. I really thought I was going to have to cancel the trip... but I MANAGED! LOL:rotfl::worship:
I dont have anymore tips for DC, but If I were you guys I'd be stopping at DC cupcake on the way home! :rotfl:

Oh my goodness!! I'm glad you made it ok at Disney. That would really be rough. Lindsey did OK today, even in the rain. :sad2:

We left Baltimore at 5:30am and it was raining, but when we got to DC, it was raining harder there. We went ahead with the tour. We had to stand in line in the rain for about 30 minutes. I REALLY needed my Disney ponchos!:lmao: Some old man infront of us was dumping the rain from his umbrella right on to us. :rolleyes1 It got funny after a while because we never knew who was going to get hit. Anyway, we got in with no trouble. The tour was really neat & we all enjoyed it. After it was over, it was still raining and it looked like it was set in for the day so we decided to head back to the condo & save the rest for a day that we can all enjoy it.

I did learn one big thing & that is to take the Metro next time. Driving down there was CRAZY! I had no idea where the heck I was going. We were running late so I dropped DH & the kids off by the WH and I drove by myself to find a parking deck. God was with me because I found one two blocks from the tour entrance. :worship: That was GREAT!!

I also found out that if you are driving in DC while talking on your cell phone you can get a 100.00 fine!! I was on the phone when someone told me!! :lmao:

I didn't take the first picture today. We couldn't take pictures in the WH & it was raining so I didn't even get the cameras out of the car. I'll get some nice pictures when we go back.

Nap time for me!!:cheer2: I have been up since 4am!!:upsidedow

I told you those roads down there are WAY CONFUSING!
A few years back, before all the cars had navagation systems, I was down in DC picking up my sister who for some reason flew into Ronald Regan instead of BWI... well let me just tell you... I got SOOOO lost. My husband was not at his desk at work, I must of called him 800 times. Finally I called my brother who was living in California crying, get me out of here! (he had gone to American U...so I just assumed he could get me out of DC from 8million miles away! UGH...worst day of my life... Ok maybe not worst...But pretty damn close!
Glad you had fun! Sorry about the rain!
I just got back from the worlds worst mommy mall (Towson Town! LOL) I called Pottery Barn looking for a Boxspring cover, I was told they had it...two of them infact. I got to the store... and the girl says we don't carry that! UGH...so I go into Crate and Barrell to get the duvet and euro shams I wanted. That I might add I had ALSO just called an hour before to see if they had them in stock. NOPE... we are out. I said you told me you had it, oh we dont stock that stuff... WHT THE HECK. I AM ANNOYED. Both stores are like we can order it here for you and you just have to pay shipping.. UM YA really...thanks I'll order it from home... SO ANNOYED!

That would have made me mad too. You had a pretty good drive to get there. It's not like you were five minutes away. I HATE that.:headache: I really liked that PB store there though. In fact, I kind of liked that mall. I may have to give it another try before we leave. :rotfl2:

My 17 year old is happy again. Her boyfriend has just moved to KY for college & he will be flying up here to see her in the next week or two. Not that I like that, but if it keeps her happy. :confused3 She will not be able to see him much anymore so you know how that goes. Drama Drama... I kind of felt bad for her, ya know. :rolleyes1 Anyway, he is also wanting to see DC so I guess he will be going with us.

I have been cold all day!! We got soaked at the WH and ever since then I get chilled so easy. I am sitting here sipping a cup of coffie to warm up. I hope it wont keep me up all night.:rotfl2:

You were talking about getting lost in DC. If we had not had the GPS with us, I am not sure we would have found our way to or from that place. We went down some STUPID way someone told DH about, to avoid to much traffic so we didn't use the GPS. It was one turn after another & winding back roads.:headache: We must have missed a turn somewhere so I turned the GPS on & typed in the White House address. (thank God I knew it-don't we all:lmao:) Lindsey gets car sick so by the time we got there she had her head in a plastic bag saying she was feeling sick. Then Lauren said if you get sick, I will get sick and then Michael was worried we would miss the tour. On top of all of that, Mike (DH) had to pee.:rotfl2: It was not a good trip down there! I think the Metro will work out so much better for us!:thumbsup2
:rotfl2:
