I love this thread, only a few more days til we are there!

This sounds like fun, I wanna go too!!! How do you get tickets?

We did this on our last vaction... DD (3) had the time of her life!!! It was sooo not crowded and there is pleanty of space so everyone can reall stretch out without bothering anyone else!
We got there early... approx. 4:00 p.m. and we took DD to ride a pony (ONLY $4.00!!!) and she it still talking about it. Then we took the ferry over to Wildreness Lodge (another fun thing to do, riding on a boat) and we had a Table service dinner there. Another boat ride back to the campground and we were there for the singer's warm up! (great crowd interaction). Soon after they lit the campfire and the singer came out... she sang lot's of songs and again, great audiance participation. Chip and Dale made an apperance and the kids went wild! Shortly after the "Chuck Wagon" opened up and begin selling "S'mores kits" and other assorted goodies (water, soda, popcorn) Then the free outrdoor movie started. It was great to watch the movie under the stars!!!! DD was in love and the whole thing only cost us $4.00 for the pony ride, $7.00 for the s'mores kit, and $4.00 for 2 bottles of water! (we were on the free dining plan so dinner was on the house, so to speak.)
We had a great time and qwe wuld definatly do it again! :cloud9:

How do they have the young kids ride a pony? I mean do they have an adult/parent walk next to the child? My 2.5 yr. old DS loves horses but unless someone is walking next to the pony I don't think he'll be doing this. We've always talked about doing the Chip & Dale movie and this trip will be the perfect opportunity since we are staying at VWL and my in-laws will be staying at FWC. :)

WOW! Great thread! I'm on page 30 and still haven't seen one of my son's magical memories.

At the Biegarten restarant in Germany (Epcot) they choose a child to be the guest conductor of the band. He got to go on stage, was given a special hat and baton and "directed" their next number. Then they gave him a special certificate and a round of applause. He was six and it was delightful. He still talks about wanting to do it again.. but i doubt they'll choose an 11 yr old!

Thanks for sharing so many great ideas!

Yes, they do have a parent or guardian walk beside the little ones while they are riding. They have this little "stage" with stairs leading up to it and the pony walks right to it and the children just hop right on. Mommy or Daddy take the reigns and slowly walk the child around a pathway. What's great about a parent doing it was 2 fold... 1) the children are more relaxed with a parent as opposed to a stranger and 2) Great photo opps.!
No one else was there when we were riding so there was no wait!!!! They also have a stable where you can see the BIG horses and DD loved them too... she asked if we could bring one home... :lmao:

Need to find out any information about eating breakfast at Paris in Epcot before the park opens. My daughter REALLY wants to do this!!! I didn't think a 17 year would want to get up early but she was really excited...

Simply call and make an ADR for whatever time you want breakfast. If the park isn't open yet, just go up to any CM and they'll escort you to Paris (I love saying that! ) and you're all set. :surfweb:

Which restaurant serves breakfast? I looked through the restaurant guides and couldn't see any open before lunch?

Ok,
I am thinking by ADR you might mean "a dining reservation"? Not really sure.
Doesn't the back of the Epcot open at about 11am? So we really could even get there at 9am or so...
They really take reservations before the part opens?:confused3

Okay, this thread was mentioned a few pages back, but I wanted to post it again so that folks who didn't have time to check this entire thread could see it.

Secrets Thread

Deb/DCanoli keeps a Word (I think) document that compiles all these secrets, and keeps it up to date, and she will email you a document on request. See post #3425, page 229 for information.

Thanks! I always read these posts, and think about our document.

I think I posted on this thread about it once before, but no one responded, so I didn't want to post again and be a bother.

Sometimes, I post these ideas on our little thread for the people on that thread to see.

They've got good ideas on this thread!

ADR = Advance Dining Reservation

I can't say for sure about France :confused3 , but last time we went we had an ADR for the Princess Storybook breakfast at Akershus in Norway.princess: It was before the park (and certainly before WS!) opened. (hours 8am-10:30am) Check this thread for more info:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/reservations.htm and be sure to click on the Reservation Calculator too.
Best bet? Call 407-WDW-DINE and ask them! :)

the only dining location at Epcot that serves breakfast prior to park opening is Princess Storybook at Akershus which starts at 8:30 am.

Ah! There ya go. Thanks bradk for clearing that up. That said, the Princess Storybook breakfast was fun, especially for my DDs 4 & 8. :goodvibes

This is a great topic! I need to start taking notes.

Forgive my ignorance but why are there so many posts that say "subscribing"?
Why don't people simply use the subscribe link under 'Thread Tools' or is there a purpose to such posts that I am missing?

:confused3
