Things Disney Offers But Doesn't Advertise *Summary Added Oct 08*

My favorite thing in Disney, The electrical water pagent, is an under-advertized treasure. Its one thing that hasn't changed significantly since my first visit in 1979! You can catch it around the seven seas lagoon usually an hour before Wishes.
How true. We have always enjoyed watching the water pagent. Last Christmas they were having some technical difficulties a couple of nights, but it was still fun. And it was interesting seeing it from the Poly instead of the Contemporary where we had always seen it before.

I'm tryong to get in on thiswith another Disser on my Feb 2008 thread on Adults and Solo Board .If anyone else is interested let me know!!

Great thread!
Has anyone done the Chip N Dale singalong/ "drive in " movie at Ft. Wilderness? Sounds like fun!popcorn::

We did this on our last vaction... DD (3) had the time of her life!!! It was sooo not crowded and there is pleanty of space so everyone can reall stretch out without bothering anyone else!
We got there early... approx. 4:00 p.m. and we took DD to ride a pony (ONLY $4.00!!!) and she it still talking about it. Then we took the ferry over to Wildreness Lodge (another fun thing to do, riding on a boat) and we had a Table service dinner there. Another boat ride back to the campground and we were there for the singer's warm up! (great crowd interaction). Soon after they lit the campfire and the singer came out... she sang lot's of songs and again, great audiance participation. Chip and Dale made an apperance and the kids went wild! Shortly after the "Chuck Wagon" opened up and begin selling "S'mores kits" and other assorted goodies (water, soda, popcorn) Then the free outrdoor movie started. It was great to watch the movie under the stars!!!! DD was in love and the whole thing only cost us $4.00 for the pony ride, $7.00 for the s'mores kit, and $4.00 for 2 bottles of water! (we were on the free dining plan so dinner was on the house, so to speak.)
We had a great time and qwe wuld definatly do it again! :cloud9:

My husband and I made these last trip - it was SO much fun. First, there's a segment where you learn about plastic. Then in the next room, you design virtual robots and have a contest for beauty and speed. Finally you get to build your robot. All in all it took about half an hour, but it was a <ow key> blast!

we did the robot races too and my kids had a blast.

There are alot of great ideas on this thread!!:thumbsup2

I have read every posting in this thread now....WOW...have I learned some new things....
Ok, here's my story....Jan 3rd we go to WDW. We have not been since 2003. Have been doing cruises, etc. We are going through withdrawals. Of course we have been to Disneyland several times but not the same....(hate it when in WDW someone asks where are you from...we say California...they say don't you know there's a Disneyland there...)
Anyway our daughter will be turning 18 around then, is a senior in high school...and perhaps the last time she travels with old mom and dad...I want to do something special that we have not done before.
Any ideas for a almost 18 year old and her parents?
thanks pirate:

I just found out about the Haunted Pirate Cruise a few weeks ago...

Here is the info:
$30.01

paraphrasing, cruise the haunted islands/marinas, hear ghost stories along the way, play games
and maybe win prizes, each child receives Mickey pirate ears & a pirate name, Halloween candy
and they get to watch HalloWishes from the ship

Take her to Pleasure Island!! It's a grown-up thing you can do together. We love the Comedy Club and the Adventurer's Club. I think under 21 can still get into both.

Well for "Not Free" Stuff, I would suggest some of the backstage tours.

This one is for guys only. At AK at Raffiki Planet Watch in the men's room where all the animal faces are, you can take a Whiz Quiz. While standing at the urinal there's a few questions about other animals' bathroom habits. You have to wash your hands to get the answers. It's not that big a deal, but it's different. Sorry ladies I was informed they don't have this in your bathroom.

now thats funny!
