the ladybug release at the GF is long gone. the only place to release ladybugs on property is either (1) part of the Behind the Seeds tour or (2) during the Flower & Garden Festival

We were invited to release ladybugs at Innoventions, in January. My kids thought it was the coolest thing! They go magical moment certificates and everything.

you are correct, i was incorrect. there is a daily release at the great american farm / pizza game at innoventions west, at 10:30 I believe (or could be 11:30, i can never remember which)

Last night, around midnight, I thought of something else that may not yet be on this but I went back to sleep and forgot about it until just now.

I think it has been mentioned that park hours at the Magic Kingdom only indicate the hours that you can ride the rides but you can enjoy the shops for at least another hour. If park hours are from 9AM - 9PM, you need to be on (or at least in line for) your last ride by 9PM but you can take your time strolling along Main Street on your way out. There's no advantage to hurry because you'll just end up in a long line to the buses, boats, or monorails.

The unadvertised thing I really wanted to say about this is that the windows in the Emporium gift shop feature scenes from several of the Disney animated movies and most have some type of simple movement involved. They are more like ashadowboxes or dioramas and they evoke a nostalgic feeling of wonder - especially after dark. Most people walk right by without ever noticing them but our girls probably spent 20 minutes checking them out as we were soaking up the last minutes of the Magic Kingdom on the last day of our vacation.

Also, I just wanted to point out that bikes can be rented at many of the resorts, not just FW and BW. I think that's a really fun thing to do at Disney...then again, I'd take my own bike and sit it next to me in the car!

It starts at the restrooms at pizzafari and snakes around to behind the tough to be a bug fp machines. I'm not sure what's on the path since I haven't been on it yet, but I plan to try next trip!

I don't think it is marked, but your more than welcome to go down the path.

OHHH WOW!!! they still have those!!!! I remember when I was just a tiny little girl in the early 70's when the park first opened ... well my daddy would hold me up (we lived in FL at the time) so I could watch the old movies!!!!!
I thought they were sooo amazing that I still remember them and I was only 4 years old or so (over 30 now and we will keep it at that )

I guess its a bit of that Disney magic to bring back such long ago childhood memories.. thanks for sharing that pic with me!

I first want to say great thread!

There were so many things added I don't have too much that I didn't already see but hear goes...

1. AKL has night viewing of the animals with nightvision. The kids got a kick out of this..... they also have lit up paths outside and it makes for a very romantic after dinner walk with a loved one

2. In the afternoon at MGM when the lines are long ... hang out on Sunset and catch the atmosphere characters OMG they are hysterical!!!! It's fun to interact with them, especially the tourist "couple"... I forget their names but they will gab with you and is all I can say

3. I didn't see the Cinderella fountain secret posted so I will add that... if you bow down before her fountain (around back of the castle while going up the ramp) you can see the crown on her head "magically appear" my kids get a kick out of this even though its just an illusion

4. Buying crap ... most (if not all) of the shops will ship what you buy to your house. That way you don't have to lug it around all week and try to travel home with extra luggage! When I did it, they didn't charge me any service charge ... just the cost of the postage but I am not sure if this was a regular thing or I just got lucky!

5. AKL has a childrens story time in the lobby every evening

6. SILLY but you can get a wake up call from Mickey if your staying on the property... its only a recording but make sure to have your kids answer the phone!!!! The little ones eyes light up like magic when they hear Mickey calling them hahah

This one is for guys only. At AK at Raffiki Planet Watch in the men's room where all the animal faces are, you can take a Whiz Quiz. While standing at the urinal there's a few questions about other animals' bathroom habits. You have to wash your hands to get the answers. It's not that big a deal, but it's different. Sorry ladies I was informed they don't have this in your bathroom.
