THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT! A tale from 2 cities!! THE END! pg 32

Great update. I think I am going to add 50s prme time to my list of places to try. This is why I love reading trip reports. I knew about prime time, but it never looked that appealing to me until I red yor TR!

Thank you. I hope you enjoy the 50's. We find it really fun and the food is good :)

I loved all the Star Wars pictures, and 50s is one of my favorites too.
Dawn, I gather you are not a thrill rider.
Caitlin, I too love Darth Vader and Scar. It really could be the voice. I had never thought about that.
Great updates, can't wait for more.

Looks like an awesome lunch! I'll have to be sure to try both the electric lemonade and the pb j milkshake! I was so full by the time the meal ended I couldn't think of having a milkshake! Haha.

The meals look wonderful!! Yum!!

THE COWBOY SCENE IS REAL!!! WOW!!! Bahahah. I've never heard of anyone actually getting the cowboy side and was thinking of asking for it next trip. How awesome!!

One of the things I like about the dining plan is that you can get the shake as your beverage. If we weren't on the dp she wouldn't have gotten it as most of it did go to waste.

:rotfl: Yep it is!

I'm going to have to agree with you about the PB&J milkshake. I LOVE peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but the idea of one in milkshake form grosses me out a bit. Despite the rave reviews it gets here on the boards I haven't been brave enough to try one. :rotfl:

Can I just say that I am jealous you got the cowboy scene. I've been on that ride over 20 times and have only gotten the cowboy scene once! Alien also freaks me out a bit. I still duck a little when we go under the alien but the funniest was last October when my mom and I were in the back row. I didn't realize there was a second one that popped out from the side and I screamed sooooo loud!

Haha, your Prime Time photo had a bit of a photobomb from the next table.

Wow, great Movie Ride photos and COWBOY SCENE, the most tough to get thing in all of WDW! Nice job!! :thumbsup2

I was brave enough but didn't care for it :rotfl:

Next time you're there ask if they are running the cowboy scene and they will let you wait for a tram going to that :)

Those aliens are scary :rotfl:

I didn't even notice that :rotfl: That guy was trouble though our cousin put him in the corner for misbehaving :rotfl2:

Thanks. We felt like we got extra pixie dust that day!

ARGH!!! I haven't had much time to DIS for the past month or so, and I discover you are already 2 weeks into your report.

Better late than never... I'm in!

I'll try to catch up tonight.

We're just getting started so you didn't miss much. Glad to have you along :)

Your meal at Prime time looks relish. I'm not so sure about the peanut butter and jelly milkshake either, but I'm glad Caitlin likes it.

Did you tell the couple in front of you to "get a room"? :rotfl:

I was never much of a fan of Alien, so I can relate.

Cowboy - nice. I've had the cowboy once before. Can you believe that? Once. Nice pics inside the ride.

Fun update.

Her meal was a very odd combination of things :crazy2:

We didn't but we wanted to. Their behavior was very un-Disneylike :rotfl:

I'm not sure why the cowboy version is so rare but it's nice to get something different occasionally.

Hi Gang! Caitlin has done the first two installments of this TR so now it's my turn to chime in :)

Slacker! :rotfl:

When Caitlin left off we were headed to dinner....one of our favorite places to dine at WDW is the 50's Primetime Café.

I believe we've eaten at DHS three times (TS restaurants, I mean).

Sci Fi
Pizza Planet
Sci Fi

Primetime is right at the top of my list of things to do next time we go. Whenever that'll be. :confused3

As soon as we were seated I got a pic of Caitlin and her drink of choice. "Dad's Electric Lemonade" which is among her favorite WDW drinks :thumbsup2

Geez, it was just yesterday that Caitlin wasn't old enough to drink alcohol at WDW!

And wasn't married, too!

We were served by our cousin and he was the best.

Which is lucky, 'cause sometimes family members can be less then wonderful ya know. :rolleyes1:

In a short time he brought the chef to our table and her personally discussed with Caitlin what she could and could not have off the menu.

Which is pretty amazing, isn't it?

She was pleased that she was able to begin her meal with the Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake (seriously :crazy2:) which was made gluten free.

ummmm..... I'd love to try one. It sounds awesome.

It was a wonderful meal with wonderful service!

Both meals look really good. With the exception of anything coconut.

pkondz does not do coconut.

or brussels sprouts... which as everyone knows were invented by the devil.

But I'd kill for a taste of that apple cobbler.

When we finished eating it was time for some rides. First up,

Palm tree scaling. Awesome. Who was fastest? You? Or Caitlin?

I'm betting you.

When we got inside we saw the line was really long and I think we waited about half an hour. It seemed like an eternity though as we were behind this thirty-something couple who could not keep their hands off each other. I expected some parents to start complaining as these two were really making quite a scene

Get a room!

Who doesn't love Gene Kelly? So handsome and talented!

I love Gene Kelly and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I've been taking tap for 3 years now and can really appreciate just how good he and Donald O'Connor were. :worship:

And as luck would have it, we got the "cowboy version" and not the "gangster".

Nice!

Poor Sigourney Weaver! This movie still creeps me out!

Me too. I won't let the girls watch it.

Snakes? Why did it have to be snakes?!

'cause the snails were too slow.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

When you do make it back you must try it! It really is fun.

They grow up way too fast!

Which is lucky, 'cause sometimes family members can be less then wonderful ya know. :rolleyes1:

Ain't that the truth :rotfl2:

Yes it was really wonderful.

I still say :crazy2:

The cobbler was good.

Of course I won, longer legs.

Get a room!

Exactly!

Those gentlemen were both so talented! Good for you! That's awesome!

Nice!

Me too. I won't let the girls watch it.

I'm not big on scary movies. Well except for Scream 4 :rotfl:

'cause the snails were too slow.

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

Thanks for reading

Joining in! I absolutely love that you guys got that picture with all 4 characters in their gear! My husband and I went to Disney for our honeymoon, and it just happened to be during Star Wars Weekends last year, so he was super happy. Of course, considering we were exhausted from all the planning and wedding stress, we weren't really making it to the parks at opening, so we didn't get to enjoy TOO much of SWW although we did get to watch Hyperspace Hoopla. We'd pass by the lines for the characters that were so long and in that blazing sun, and we knew we weren't going to do them. How lucky that you waited and got them all!

Welcome!
We really felt like we got an extra dose of pixie dust with meeting all 4 at once!
I've heard great things about Hyperspace Hoopla. I wish they would have had that at May the 4th!

WOW- that was quite a first day!!!

I'm so happy you stayed at AoA, because I am loving the pictures! The lobby is great! The dining area is so cool. I didn't know there were sections with scenery from different movies. Love it! The details in the rooms are amazing. Disney gets :thumbsup2 on the theming, beauty and fun they put into this resort.

I love Scar, too, as far as villans go. "Be Prepared" is one of my favorite songs from Lion King. The lyrics are so clever.

Love the pictures you have from May the Fourth. The pictures of the Fab 4 (and Fab 6) are awesome!

I love this picture!

Great update, Dawn.

Caitlin's meal sounds incredible. I love coconut, but I would never think to add them to mashed potatoes. I may have to try that some time. Might as well try making the Mahi Mahi, too. The whole thing sounded incredible!

But I'm with you on the PB&J milkshake. I'll pass.

However, I'll take your serving of Brussels sprouts. I love 'em! I even planted some in my garden last year.

:cool1: on getting the cowboy scene. I have seen that once and it was awesome!

The pictures on the Great Movie Ride are just spectacular. :worship:

Looking forward to the next update now that I'm all caught up.

:goodvibes

Dawn and Caitlin,

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. Congrats on your wedding, Caitlin. I haven't been on in awhile, but since we are going again I started here again. I remember reading another trip report of yours when you first met Andrew. So, glad to see it worked out. I'll have to look for your other reports that I may have missed. I'm going on my first mother/daughter trip in Sept. Can't wait!! :yay:

I love this picture!

Great update, Dawn.

Thank you

The cowboy scene is a nice change from the usual gangster one. I wish the ride would get a rehab with some new scenes or movies.
Thank you!
