~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

Can't wait to see the ew table. Love the centerpiece you made.

Can you explain snapchat to me. One of my girls wants it for the fun photo filters, but so far I have told her no.

Thanks! I am excited to get it finished and get it in here.

Well - I am not very snapchat savvy, it's a new app to me... but essentially it's a picture messaging app - so every reply you send must accompany a photo - whether it be of yourself or something you are doing/looking at. Each photo sent/received is only viewable for 10 seconds, you can view it twice, but that's it... The only way to save these photos is to screen shot them. Not sure it's appropriate for everyone, but as long as you know her contacts - it should be OK. :scratchin

Love the table runner -- so cute! What about painting the chairs the color of the flowers in the table runner? If not that, I would go with black -- you're right about wanting the china cabinet to be a statement piece, though, so black is probably the best choice. Or you could paint one black and paint another in that color and see which you like better.... LOL Such a gorgeous table, by the way!

That picture V did is amazing -- when I first saw it I really thought it was either stickers or digital -- she is SO talented!!

Thanks - I am really happy with it. Gah!!! I really want to paint the (not yet found or purchased) China cabinet that salmon/coral color - but I am pretty sure Josh would tell me to find somewhere else to live if he came home from work one day with a HUGE pink-type cabinet in his kitchen/dining area. :lmao: So, I am thinking maybe the green or even the light blue from the other fabric? I have considered painting it black too - but I think I want it to be a color? I am considering painting the back of the doors black though - I've seen lots of pictures and I think it would be really cool? What's the worst that could happen? I don't like them black and I'd have to repaint. ::yes:: We'll see.

Thanks - The table we currently have matches the China cabinet... The set belonged to Josh's grandparents - so I can't touch it, aka paint it. It's a beautiful set - don't get me wrong, but it's always been too big for our little space... I am looking forward to passing it on to another family member and getting our old farmhouse table back in here - granted it doesn't have all the leaves that the dining room table has, Josh and i really don't entertain that much to warrant such a big table, and we can always go out and buy a fold up table if the need ever arises. ::yes::

Thank you - I was super impressed with that picture... I love very vivid and colorful things - so it was just perfect to me!

SOOOOOOOO Much in such a short weekend!
So happy she is safe and sound! thankfully i kept up with facebook! LOL

Love the centerpieces! cannot wait to see the new table!
I think my kitchen is going to turn red and yellow... Still not 100% still haven't finished the front painting. in my DEFENSE it's been in the 90's with rain. can't paint in that!

so your an inspiration! THANK YOU!

A-- love that girl. just not going to post a lot here on all of it! LOL More so because of:

Isn't it sad that person can ruin a great time here? I hope they found something better to do with their time by now???

I know - it was such a relief to have her there safely. :lovestruc

Thanks - me too - I am very excited to get it in here.

Ooooh - OK so which parts are you doing red and which parts are you doing yellow? I am so excited to see this come together! :woohoo:

Thank you - it can get so scary sometimes, which is why I focus mostly on the past rather than the future here. Hopefully that person has moved on - but I will never know.... Or hope to never know anyways.

I love the table runner! So cute! I'm thinking that I should send you some pictures of my kitchen and dining room and you could tell me what to do with them. Also my spare bedroom. Pretty much the whole house. haha jk I was trying to pick a color this morning for our spare room and my husband was "helping". He likes darker neutral colors. I am starting to get tired of those shades. I need to just pick and paint and let him see the finished product. Sigh...
I'm so glad Allison is doing well and enjoying her time. And V is soo talented! Love the picture!
Have a great day!:)

Thank you!!! LOL - I would love to try... I am definitely not an interior designer and I've taken most of my ideas from Pinterest. ::yes::

I will say - when we first started the living room, I was doing a totally different style than what I am doing now - so they don't really go together at all, but I am trying to live with it. Paint is so hard to pick out - which is why I went neutral... Grays are super popular right now as the new neutral. ::yes::

Me too - she is having fun just being there.

Thanks - I was super impressed!

Same to you! Thank you! :lovestruc

How great that you get to video chat with Allison.

How nice of Josh to prepare the farmhouse table for you so you could paint it.

The Dory drawing that V did looks amazing.

The table centerpiece looks great.

Tomorrow Ulf and I are traveling to St.Petersburg, Russia for a week with 2 geocaching friends. I'm NOT looking forward to it. Some other geocaching friends told us that we had to be careful because there are a lot of pickpockets there. I really hope we come back home safely with all our stuff intact.

Thanks for all of the above. :lovestruc

Ooooh - be safe!!!! And be aware!!! You are an experienced traveler, so you know what to do and what not to do - so I won't "mother" you and remind you... But good luck and have fun!!!! I did find - when I traveled, I held my zipper of my purse closed with a safety pin... It's nothing major, but it's enough to keep someone from quick entry to my bag. :scratchin And I didn't really carry anything of huge value in it anyways - I had a lanyard around my neck for that. ::yes:: Have a great time, my friend! :lovestruc

Since it is a kitchen table center piece... how about linen napkins rolled up like this in the center in the same color as the roses on the table runner. Or even some glass beads or a square candle. I really like the napkins though. They look like roses all rolled up like this. You could even tie them up with a small jute string to further tie them into your center piece.

I'm glad that Allison is enjoying her time with family and travel. It was quite a while ago, but I remember my first trip without my parents as if it was yesterday. It was the first time it sank in that I was actually an adult now. She will learn a lot while she is there!

This is so good! People who have such talents just amaze me. My daughter (16) draws a lot of Japanese anime and I just sit in awe every time I see one of her pictures. You are so correct about Dory's eyes. They are so detailed and blended. Just wonderful!

Ooooh - I love that idea!!!! I am now on the search for cloth napkins! :woohoo: Such a cute idea!

Me too - it's so much fun seeing her enjoy just being there. I am sure she will start exploring soon. ::yes::

Thank you - exciting!!! I am not much into anime, but it's a beautiful art and I totally admire those who can do it! I hope your dd continues to perfect her skill! :lovestruc

You made me cry. I am so happy to hear she made it safely to her destination and that family was waiting for her at the gate. What a blessing it is to have people like that in your/her life. Jealous of her windmill and view from her room. She is one lucky girl to get to experience this adventure. Love the pictures from V's art exhibit and her drawing is amazing. She is one talented girl!

Love the runner and box you made.

Our little munchkins are officially moved back home. We could not be happier to be all together again. My niece also graduated from High School. As we were sitting at dinner celebrating Lil Miss R was in my daughters lap; laughing together and I made the biggest mistake of asking her how much she will miss that little girl and she began to tear up. Then I began to cry. What was I thinking?:confused3 Maybe I was hoping she would say I'll stay home, but I know that is not possible.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Sorry.... It was such a difficult day for me - but I am doing sooo much better now. :lovestruc My biggest anxiety was her travel and that she would make it there safely. I agree - and I am certain that she knows that... This has been a trip she has been dreaming of for years - so to finally be able to go, it's just a huge thing.

Thanks- I love seeing her work... But this Dory drawing has got to be one of my all time favorites - I just love vivid colors anyways - so it's perfect for my eye. ::yes::

Thanks - I am happy with it.

Yay!!! So glad to hear that they are back home and so close to you - I bet they are just as excited as you are! Awwww.... Sometimes we say things and not realize the impact until after they are said... it's too bad she can't stay home, but she will be home with them during weekends and holidays right? I can't remember how far she is going to be from home...

Thank you - same to you!

Hi D! Love the pics of Alli and family. Looks like she is settling in nicely!

That Dory drawing!! Are you serious?! V has some serious talent. Just love it.

Well I returned to work today after an 11 day vacation. We didn't go anywhere this time, just spent a whole lot of time with my boys and some family. It was so nice and it was extremely difficult to get to sleep last night and wake up at 345am to get ready for work. But it was a great day and I guess it helps that I love my company and my property and residents as much as I do!

Enjoy your day!

Thank you - yes, she seems to be getting adjusted well. Which is such a relief to me - but I knew she would.

Yes - it's pretty incredible! I just love it! She did another one yesterday, that I don't have pictures of, but it's another one of my favorites.

Glad that you were able to spend your vacation time with family - sometimes staycations are the best! ::yes:: I hope your first day back went well. :thumbsup2

Awww, your post of Allison's drop off made me teary!! I was picturing a little kindergartener with their backpack before you even said that--but it's so true!! My son is only six, so he's a long way from going anywhere by himself, so I can't even imagine the emotions you were feeling. How wonderful to be welcomed at the other end of her journey by family!! Pixie dust for sure

It's wonderful Snapchat, FB, etc. all exist so you can enjoy the little everyday moments she is experiencing. Truly a blessing!!

Yes - it was so emotional - it was a scene I had played over and over again in my mind leading up to that point - so I could try to not be as emotional when it actually happened.... I am not sure that it worked or not? It was definitely difficult though, and so relieved that she is home with family.

Enjoy every moment with your ds... I wish I would have cherished my time with the girls more.

Yes - it's wonderful - it's *almost* as if she isn't gone at all... We chat frequently through out the day. The only difference is that the girls aren't fighting all the time and my grocery bill is less. :lmao:

Glad your weekend went well. Mine was pretty busy, I was working and going o graduation parties all weekend! All was fun, but I'm glad I have tomorrow (tuesday) off!

That's great you've been able to video chat with Allison, that technology is such a blessing!

Oh my gosh I am in love with this picture! I love baby dory from the movie! Have you seen Finding Dory yet?!
I think I may be going to see it for a second time soon lol.

Sounds like it... Grad parties should be almost over by now? I know that Allison's was really late for our area, not sure how it is by you? It sounds like you had a great weekend and enjoy your day off today!

Yes - it's been amazing - I don't miss her nearly as much.

Thanks - I love it too... No I have not seen the movie yet. I am kind of avoiding it, honestly. I just looks like it would be a tear jerker - and I really don't need another reason to cry at the moment, so I am trying to hold off for a few weeks. But we will definitely be seeing it in the theaters soon... I've been waiting for this movie to come out for a long time, it's just that the timing of it's release wasn't good for me. LOL But looking forward to seeing it!

********************************************************************************************************

Ahhhh... And I am out of time for my own update... I just spent the last 27 minutes video chatting with Allison. Miss that girl like crazy! But it was soooo good to catch up with her and have a real conversation! It honestly feels like she is right here - I love technology for this reason!

I hope you all have a wonderful day - I'll try to hop on later and do an update, I have pictures to share of both Allison and of the table... Not to mention the HOLE that MM ate in my brand new carpet!!!!! UGH!!!! He is in the DOG HOUSE!!!!! Big time!

Pixie dust to all! :lovestruc

D~

Ooooh - OK so which parts are you doing red and which parts are you doing yellow? I am so excited to see this come together! :woohoo:

Haven't figured that out just yet.. I still need to finish the front of the house!

Thank you - it can get so scary sometimes, which is why I focus mostly on the past rather than the future here. Hopefully that person has moved on - but I will never know.... Or hope to never know anyways.

The internet is a scary place. Thankfully we all met 'normal' friends on here..
i do hope they moved on, and found peace in their own life.

Not to mention the HOLE that MM ate in my brand new carpet!!!!! UGH!!!! He is in the DOG HOUSE!!!!! Big time!

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA? I didn't know this.. OMG

My daughter got an old table from a friend of my and painted it. Originally she painted the top white and sealed it but when it dried it looked yellow, so she resanded it and painted it black to matched her chairs. It looks good. My neighbor gave her an old china cabinet. She painted the outside a light blue and the inside is a light lime green. It looks really nice.
I'm glad to hear that Allison is doing well and you're getting to 'talk' to her everyday.
Have a great day
Liz

D~

WHAAAATTTT??? BAD BAD DOG! ugh, that is the stuff that I don't miss about having pets.

Can't wait to see the table. My sister had colored chairs in her old dining room with a wood table, china cabinet, and built in hutch. The chairs matched the color of the wall paper and with the other neutrals, pulled it together. If you do a color on the chairs you could always do a different neutral on the cabinet and accent it with color from the chairs? I love that coral in your floral print runner. You have a great eye for color, so I am sure your choices will look great.

How awesome through technology you are "traveling" with Allison.

Once I find the stupid cord for my camera, I want to show you the very very simple dress I (with the help of my gram and my sister) made with my DD for her 4-H project. Seriously this is the second time I have lost this cord. :furious:

You have mentioned several times the unsettling experience you had with someone knowing where you were and when...that is SO scary! I make it a point to never post on Facebook (since I don't do trip reports!) when I am going away and I don't post pictures while I'm away. But then again, I don't post a whole lot on Facebook anyway (I also say I'm the ultimate "liker"!) So keep up the good work protecting your family and yourself!
I know that A will have a great time while she is away! It is definitely always harder on the Moms!! I also have 2 daughters ( a bit older than your two!) and I always worried when they would go away. We are very fortunate with the technology that we have now that we can have that one to one communication so easily!!
I have followed your board on Pinterest with all your decorating ideas! You've done a great job (and kudos to the hubby, too!)

Okay I tried to post earlier so excuse me if I double posted.... I all caught up again and I have so much to say, ahhh all the emotions! Thank you so much for sharing these momentous times in your life with us, your DIS family! Hugs! You must be so proud of both Allison and Victoria! What talented beautiful young women they have become! Your home improvements are fabulous, cannot wait to see the table. What an adventure you all are going on, can't wait to hear more!

Oh no!! MM!! Yikes!

On a positive note, glad you were able to chat with Alli!

Off to my WW meeting and I feel bloated as heck. Thank you, Chicago heat and PMS!! Too much?!

Sounds like it... Grad parties should be almost over by now? I know that Allison's was really late for our area, not sure how it is by you? It sounds like you had a great weekend and enjoy your day off today!
Yes now grad parties are pretty much over, some people will do them later in the summer and kind of make as a going away end of summer party as well. We have graduation really late by me.
Thank you I did enjoy my day off!:thumbsup2

I totally understand what you're saying. When you do get a chance to see it just know it is really a great sequel, I found it really complements the first one and stays true to the characters. It was really well done!:goodvibes

That's great you were able to video chat with Allison, and I'm sorry about your carpet. My dog Molly when she was a baby used to eat chairs, the walls, shoes, everything lol. Dogs keep our lives interesting, thats one thing I know for sure!:thumbsup2

OK - I am excited to see all of it!

True... It is scary - but I have some of my bffs here too, so it's great too. I hope so - it would be nice, but you just never know.

Yah - I am still very angry with him! :(

The yellow is from the oil based poly she used to seal it. In order to keep it from yellowing, she needs the water based poly. ::yes:: That is really cool about the table and china cabinet - I would love to see pictures if you ever get a chance.

Thank you - yes, it's such a relief to get to talk to her as much as I am. I am very thankful for that.

Thanks Liz - same to you! :lovestruc

Yes - he is still in the dog house... He hasn't been allowed in the living room since - and I don't think he ever will again for a long time. He had eaten our old living room carpet in several spots as a puppy, but it had been a long time since he had done it - I thought he had outgrown it... One of the reasons we seriously debated getting new carpet.... Grrrrr.... We are trying to figure out some way to repair it. It just angers me that we JUST got it in April. :(

I really want to do the coral/salmon color in my fabric for the China cabinet - but I think Josh would have a cow... It's just a bit too pink for him, so I don't think he will let me do it? We'll see. He is getting a little more trusting with my choices lately. I have 4 chairs total, and I plan on getting a bench... I am actually thinking of painting 2 chairs black and 2 chairs white (because 2 of the chairs will stay in the girls' rooms most of the time) - then I can swap between the two as my mood strikes. I will probably do the bench the same as the table?

Yes - it's so exciting that she is able to share so much with us. I love being able to see the world through her eyes.

I'd love to see the dress... I hope you are able to find the cord soon. ::yes::

It was very scary - and I never hope to repeat it, so I am very cautious. :lovestruc It's very smart not to post specifics like that on the internet though - you are right - you never know who is reading.

She is having so much fun - I love hearing that she is exploring and getting out there, which is pretty difficult - even though everyone in The Netherlands is taught English through out school, they still all speak Dutch - which she hardly knows anything of, so she struggles a little bit with that when she is out by herself... but it's fun to hear all about her experiences and that she is really trying to live their lifestyle there. :lovestruc I am proud of her for that - I don't know that I would be able to do that? I am trying very hard not to worry about her, and just let her enjoy herself - it's not easy, but I have to let her experience this trip and live it fully. She will come back even more brave and have experiences to carry with her for the rest of her life. :lovestruc

Thank you - I have a serious pinterest problem - LOL I can sit there for hours... But it's fun and very mind numbing for a little while and sometimes we all need that. ::yes::

Okay I tried to post earlier so excuse me if I double posted.... I all caught up again and I have so much to say, ahhh all the emotions! No worries - only this one showed up for me. :thumbsup2

Thank you - I am very proud of both of them. It's so fun to share their adventures and this time in their lives... They've both grown up to be such fun and good people, yet very very different... I love seeing them exploring and becoming independent - yet it's tough at the same time. :lovestruc

Thank you - I am pretty excited to get the table finished and in here... I think we still need to get another coat of poly on it? :scratchin And we still need to take down our current dining room table and figure out where we want to store it. That will probably be the most difficult task out of all of this.

Thanks for stopping by - it was good seeing you. I hope all is well? :lovestruc

Oh no!! MM!! Yikes!

On a positive note, glad you were able to chat with Alli!

Off to my WW meeting and I feel bloated as heck. Thank you, Chicago heat and PMS!! Too much?!

Yes - I am sooo not happy with him.

It's awesome that I am getting to chat with her so much! It's like she's still here, but I don't have to feed her. :lmao:

I hope WW went well for you. ::yes::

Yes now grad parties are pretty much over, some people will do them later in the summer and kind of make as a going away end of summer party as well. We have graduation really late by me.

Ahhhh - got it... I am pretty sure that all of the grad parties are done here for this year - I haven't heard of any more.

I am glad to hear - sometimes sequels are so bad, but it's pretty rare that Disney/Pixar do a bad one. I can't wait to see it.

Yes - I love seeing her so much - it's really great!

Hahaha... Yes - they definitely do. I just wish he would have chose something else to eat. :(

************************************************************************************************

Ahhhh... I am so sorry you guys... Looks like it's 2 days in a row where I don't have time for my own update. It's a little crazy in the mornings here this week, because V is taking a class in town and I have to have her there really early.... And I like to work out before I leave... Next week will be better - I hope.

I'll leave you all with a few pictures I stole from Allison's snap chat. ::yes:: I love seeing these - it makes my day... And it doesn't hurt that she tells me I am pretty too... :scratchin I'll just throw some other random ones up here too... The table, Cooper... The carpet...

I hope you all have a wonderful day - Pixie Dust to all! :lovestruc

D~

If you have scrap carpet left you can cut a tiny piece the size of that hole and fill it in. I had a kid that took scissors to my carpeting and before I caught her there was a tiny spot about 1 inch odd shaped oval missing. I cut out a piece from scraps just the exact same size (very meticulous to make sure the carpet lining was all the same size) and then hot glued the edges of the bottom all together. I had padding down under the carpet so I wasn't worried about the glue getting on the floor underneath. I just hot glued all around the hole base and then pushed the patch in place. I let the hot glue set really good before I messed with it. Then I just did some pretty hard tugs on it to make sure it wouldn't come out with the vacume. If you're really careful with matching the size perfectly you can't even tell the hole is there. I think I spent just an hour making sure I was perfect in size. Also... I did buy the extra strong bond hot glue sticks for it. Not just the craft glue sticks.

Nice pictures! Allison seems so happy!!!:teeth: Your table is turning out so gorgeous ( like everything that you do :worship:).

I didn't realize how much I missed reading your daily updates! I know we "see" each other on Facebook every day, but your DIS updates really make me feel like I am part of your life.

I would paint all of the chairs white to match the table legs, but that's just me. I like things a little matchy. I think they salmon color would be amazing on a china cabinet. A bright blue would be great too.

I hope to make the DIS a part of my daily routine again so I'll be seeing more of you.

So sorry about the carpet. That seems like something that would happen here. Last summer, when our older dog was a puppy, she kept tearing the corners off of my area rug in the dining room. I would turn it so that the chewed corner was under something. Finally I ran out of good corners so we got rid of the rug. We were in the process of replacing it this spring but got another puppy so we are waiting for her to mature. Can you maybe glue a little chunk in the chewed spot? Dogs... They are so sweet but goodness can they try your patience.:)
Glad Allison is doing well. We really liked having technology to be able to communicate with our oldest at college. Makes it seem like they are close by.
have a great day!

Awww, just look at your happy girl!! That has to be such a relief! I laughed that you said the only difference is the grocery bill and no kids fighting--way to see the positive!! :sunny:

What a little turkey--can't believe he ate a hole in your rug....at least it's a little one, I guess. UGH :dogdance:

Allison looks so happy! Glad things are going well.

Ugh the carpet!!! Little stinker, but oh so cute.

Right! You save on the food bill!
Wonderful pictures and that table is looking beautiful!

WW went well, thank you. Down another .8 for a grand total of 81.8!

Love the pictures!! LOVE! Bad doggie.. just bad.

Thanks! I love seeing her so much - I miss her, yet I don't have to. If that makes sense?

Yes - very, very, very bad doggie... It's hard to be mad at him, but I am still pretty salty about it.

If you're really careful with matching the size perfectly you can't even tell the hole is there. I think I spent just an hour making sure I was perfect in size. Also... I did buy the extra strong bond hot glue sticks for it. Not just the craft glue sticks.

I think we do have a bit of carpet left? :scratchin I am not entirely sure? I know we have a few pieces from the duplex, but that carpet is slightly different than ours. I"ll have to ask Josh. Thanks so much for the tutorial - essentially, I was thinking that this is what we would have to do. Sigh... I really didn't want to have to repair our new carpet this soon. I am glad to hear that your repair worked out though - there's hope. :lovestruc

Nice pictures! Allison seems so happy!!!:teeth: Your table is turning out so gorgeous ( like everything that you do

Thank you - she is having so much fun! I just love seeing her smile!

Thanks - we aren't done with it yet, but hopefully soon. I am looking forward to getting the chairs done and finding the right China cabinet... I know the look I want and the price I want to spend - now someone just has to sell one for me. ::yes::

I didn't realize how much I missed reading your daily updates! I know we "see" each other on Facebook every day, but your DIS updates really make me feel like I am part of your life.

I would paint all of the chairs white to match the table legs, but that's just me. I like things a little matchy. I think they salmon color would be amazing on a china cabinet. A bright blue would be great too.

I hope to make the DIS a part of my daily routine again so I'll be seeing more of you.

Well - hello there! It's great to see you back!

I know - I like matchy too, but I am trying to be a little different with this... However - I am leaning towards white first... It's easier to paint black over white than it is to paint white over black if I don't like it. However - in order to do it properly - regardless - I'd have to sand them down and re-prime anyways. :scratchin We'll see - I have both colors on hand.

I hope to see you a little more often around here. :lovestruc And welcome back!

Thank you - I am still quite annoyed by it... but there isn't much I can do - other than fix it - so I'll just do that. Eventually.

I know the feeling - we had a rug that SC liked to eat the corners of too... I replaced it with a new rug when we had the party - and so far, so good... It's still intact.

I am not sure if we have any of our own carpet left... I think the chunks we had were so small that we threw them out? :scratchin I"ll have to confirm that with Josh though - I could be wrong. We do have pieces of carpet from the duplex that is a pretty close match, which we may be able to improvise with, if necessary... Otherwise - we may be able to go back to the store and buy one of the sample pieces? :scratchin We have a few options, I think.

Yes - it helps so much! Just being able to see her and be a part of her life. I think it may be helping her a lot too - however, she doesn't seem to be having too many issues with homesickness yet.

Thank you - same to you! :lovestruc

Awww, just look at your happy girl!! That has to be such a relief! I laughed that you said the only difference is the grocery bill and no kids fighting--way to see the positive!!

What a little turkey--can't believe he ate a hole in your rug....at least it's a little one, I guess. UGH

Yes - it's great to see her happy and having fun... and exploring. I am super proud of her! :Lovestruc Yup - gotta find the positive in everything LOL - and I"ll take what I can get. ::yes::

I know... Grrr... Working on options to fix it. Hopefully we can come up with something.

Allison looks so happy! Glad things are going well.

Ugh the carpet!!! Little stinker, but oh so cute.

I know - it's a relief to see her happy and having fun.

I know - right... Grrrr... We are working on it. SC is really cute isn't he??? LOL Sadly - it was MM (not the puppy) who chewed a hole in my carpet - that's the part that's annoying. Oh well, we are hoping to fix it.... Not much else we can do. :scratchin

Right! You save on the food bill!
Wonderful pictures and that table is looking beautiful!

WW went well, thank you. Down another .8 for a grand total of 81.8!

Yes we do - LOL... It's kind of nice. :lovestruc I still miss her though.

Thanks - I can't wait to get it moved into the house and set up.

Glad to hear! Congratulations!

OOoh - I might actually have time for my own update today? LOL

Life has been crazy here!

Yesterday was a Target day... Then I came home and worked at home for the remainder of the day.

Last night I went out to dinner with a long time friend - it was really nice to catch up. We had such a good time. :lovestruc

I received several snaps from Allison - and I woke this morning to a bunch of videos - which I love. :lovestruc Yesterday, she ventured out by herself for the first time... She took a bike and went to Subway for lunch... She took pictures and sent me a map of where she was - it was kind of cool to see this... I just love that she is truly taking on the Dutch lifestyle and enjoying herself. I know, if it were me, I'd have a hard time getting out there and exploring... but it seems like she is very much enjoying it. Where she is, isn't very populated, and even though they are taught English all through school, they very much prefer to speak Dutch - and my darling girl only devoted about 30 minutes to learning that language... So, she is doing a lot of mime and sign language communication. ::yes:: Today - her and Myrthe are out shopping... They leave for France over the weekend - I am very excited for this trip, as they are staying at one of Myrthe's parent's houses - and Allison will get to see parts of France that are not very populated, very rich in history and authentic. I am very excited for her! :woohoo:

On my list of fun today... Again, I have to run to town with V this morning. I hope to work out before we have to leave though. And then I will be in my sewing room all day - today is the only day I have left up there, tomorrow my cousin is flying in from out of state, as he does every year - this year he is bringing his new girl friend (so I am kind of excited to meet her) - they are staying with us for a few days... This year - we have an extra room (Allison's) to give them. :woohoo: So, that should be fun - I am looking forward to catching up. ::yes::

I hope you all have a wonderful day today!!! :lovestruc Pixie Dust to all!

That's so awesome she's able to go to all these places so young! I was over 30 before I traveled anywhere north of Tennessee!!

And they have Subways over there? I don't know why that shocks me, but it does for some reason.

What is it with dogs and wrecking carpets? We had to replace the carpet in our upstairs halfway since cloe put a whole in. It needs to be replaced again but I would love to get rid of the carpet there and on the stairs, so it is a big job.
