~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

YAY on booking your airfare for Maine! Oh how I LOVE Maine! July seems so far away for me, but I can't wait to get on the lake & enjoy every second I am there!!!

Hurray for the booking of air travel. Although you three are going to have to either start the repeat next year (D`'s turf, Mo's Turf, Suzie's Turf, repeat...) or find neutral territory. Like someplace warm and sunny, since all three of you are up in the land of ice and snow. No, not Disney (not yet anyway and look out Disney when all three of you are there at the same time!) but how about the Gulf Coast. I'd offer Alabama as a whole, but y'all travel during tornado season #1 (April - June) and I wouldn't want to freak y'all out.
But Mobile (or Pensacola or New Orleans, if you'd rather a different state) would be nice - on the beach - White sands and warm water. Not that I'm a beach person - I tend to avoid super sunny areas and I don't swim in 'real' water due to a past experience in a lake where I was reminded that things live in natural bodies of water. Like snakes. And jellyfish. And sharks. But I'll happily hang out on a lake (or ocean) if there's a boat between me and the water.

And now, lunch is over and I'm due at a meeting in 9 minutes. Off I go!

pixiedust: to all who needs it!

Thank you for the birthday wish

When is your annual Birthday trip/Epic Dismeet with Suzi and Mo trip? How great that you got low flight tickets. I'm glad to hear that you had a good day yesterday.
I hope you have a great day in your sewing room today.

Here it looks like spring has arrived. Today the sun has been shining. It's still not dark outside. The sunset was a half hour ago at 9.46pm. It's now one month and 3 days until the midnight sun is back here. Time goes really fast.

Awesome news about your airfare, I need to book airfare and hotel for my trip to Nashville in July.

Tomorrow looks like the day we are paying off our Disney Cruise. Off to work on a new skirt pattern.

Maine is one of my favorite places! I know it's a large state but every time I hear someone is going there is just makes me so happy! We are going in August so i'm looking forward to that too!

Have a great day!

I am very excited to go, Suzi and Mo are such great friends - it's a shame we live so far away from eachother... Once a year isn't nearly enough. Suzi has great things planned for us too... I cannot wait!

this is my favorite picture of us.. Ever.

I know - me too! :D

for booking your airfare for another epic DIS meet. So happy for you!

I am very excited! I cannot wait to see Suzi and Mo again!

I cannot wait to see it... This will be my first trip ever to Maine, and to get the deluxe treatment to be shown around by someone who knows the state is truly lucky - IMO. I cannot wait to see it and experience it.

Fun that you booked your maine airfare.

Thanks - I am very excited!

Hahaha... Yes, we haven't decided where we are going next year - or if the Nov Disney trip together will stand in place of our annual birthday trip? We haven't talked much about it yet, but we will.

Hehehe about the water... I am not much for it either. It creeps me out to be in our lakes - so I try not to if I don't have to. I will play on the water toys all day long (boats, pontoons & jet skis) - but I am very careful to not get dumped, because I hate being in the water. LOL Not to mention a near drowning experience I had once... :scratchin

Thanks for stopping by - I love hearing from you Ruth! I hope you had a great day!

Our annual Birthday trip takes place (usually) at the end of May/beginning of June... This year it's June 3-7. :woohoo: I am so excited!

Thanks - I did - I hope you had a great day too!

Yay for spring - we have it here too and it's so nice! I hope you are able to enjoy it!

I am super excited to have it purchased and taken care of. It's always a relief to have airfare no matter where you are going.

Yay :woohoo: for paying off your Disney cruise! When are you going on that? Have fun with your new skirt pattern too! :lovestruc

****************************************************************************

I had a pretty uneventful day yesterday...

I worked out... I did my shoulder lifts and I also did my Level 2 30 Day Shred... I was going to do abs afterwards, but Level 2 is a LOT of plank work, so I figured I didn't need any more ab work. LOL

Then I appliqued all day. I was able to finish the applique for this week's custom order. :woohoo:

Ran to the PO - we'd forgotten to do Alli's taxes - so I was one of 'those' people. LOL

We had a nice dinner, Gus came over for dinner and stayed a lot of the evening.

Today... It's a heavy lifting day for me.

Then I will be working on the assembly of this week's custom order. I hope to finish it today... If so, that leave all of tomorrow to get started on another side project. :woohoo:

If it's sunny out... I will try to lay out for a little while today.

This afternoon, the girls and I are going to order our glasses. So, that means a drive across the metro. Sigh.

Not sure what's for dinner? But we probably won't be home until later, so it will have to be something quick.

I hope you all have a wonderful day... Prayers and pixie dust to all! :grouphug:

D~

Have a totally awesome day.

We go on our cruise in August and it is in Europe on the Magic. Super excited.

Off to drop the girl and do workout number 2 and 3 though one is only 5 minutes. I am trying a new Shaun T video.

I put dinner in the crock pot because it is a totally insane day here.

we are having leftover tonight. Today is such a crazy afternoon for my girls. They have band rehearsal after school. They were supposed to have girl scouts but i'm making them skip it since they have soccer practice about 30 minutes after band ends. Sydney has her first spring basketball game of the season- they are supposed to get their new uniforms right before the game starts. Only thing is soccer ends at the same time that the bball games starts. Hopefully DH will be able to meet us at soccer practice so only one girl has to leave early

So excited that you booked your airfare for Maine. That is going to be an awesome trip for you three.
Ordering glasses, UGH!!! I just got my first pair of glasses in the fall. Getting older is the pits. I spent a fortune on them. I too am one with the colors matching. I got VB ones, which are mostly black and the inside of the frames have a pattern with color. Thankfully they are just reading glasses. I would have bought cheap ones, but because I do so much computer and paperwork I figured I need to take are of my eyes.
Not much new here. I am constantly checking my email to see when our magic bands will be shipped to us. Oh the waiting!
Soon I will be getting out the suitcases. I already pulled out my carry on, and my one dog already gave me "the look". For this trip my parents will be dog sitting. Which is a huge budget saver. Usually they get put in the kennel.
Enjoy your day!!!

Sounds like a nice day/evening (well, except running to PO for taxes for Alli).

My headache has finally subsided on my antibiotic I got last night and I even caught up everywhere and updated my own PTR.

We have the kids coming this weekend and can't wait.

Have a good day.

i think we need a re-do of MN. i would love to see more of it?!?! Suzi what do you think?

I would love to do MN again. We didn't really know eachother yet and the trip was shorter. We mostly planned the Mall, so I would love to see more of D's world!

Can't wait to have you both here! I just pray for nice weather because everything I have planned is outdoors!

Plus, remember....we always have a free house with a pool about 10 mins from the beach in SW Florida anytime we want to do the annual trip there :)

It's not long until your annual Birthday trip. Sounds like you had a nice day and evening except running to PO for Alli's taxes.

The sun is shining here today and we have 41ºF outside. The snow is melting but we still have almost 29 inches of snow. The snow is gone from all the roads, but on every lawn it's a lot of snow. In a couple of weeks it's time to change the tires on the car to summer tires again.

Well, nothing exciting happened yesterday... Oh. Wait. Something exciting did happen...

:scratchin

Oh - yes... I booked my airfare to Maine for our annual Birthday trip/Epic Dismeet with Suzi and Mo! :woohoo: I just happened upon Southwest's website and flights were the cheapest they've been since I've been looking. This made me happy! So, I booked. It's official - you all have another Epic Dismeet to hear about when we get back! I am so excited to see Suzi and Mo again!

20130531_102654.jpg

Otherwise... It was a Target day... So, it was pretty boring. But I was on Cloud 9 from booking my airfare - it was a good day.

Today... I will be doing my 30 Day Shred... Also some shoulder weight work and my ab routine. I don't plan to stick to my 30DS forever, but I would like to for the next few weeks... I would be super happy if I could wear my shorts this summer with out a muffin top. And even better if I could hit my goal size - but I am not going there yet.

Then I will be in my sewing room all day... I have applique work to do on this week's custom order, and then I hope to get started on another side project. ::yes::

If it's nice out this afternoon - which it's supposed to be... I am going to lay out and get some sun for a little while.

Not a clue what's for dinner tonight... I'll likely throw something together at the last minute. Sigh.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

YAY so happy you were able to do this !!! I hope to meet up with you three at some point.. My son is graduating on 6/5 so it might be tricky but I'll do my best to hopefully pop in someplace!!

Maine is one of my favorite places! I know it's a large state but every time I hear someone is going there is just makes me so happy! We are going in August so i'm looking forward to that too!

YAY on booking your airfare for Maine! Oh how I LOVE Maine! July seems so far away for me, but I can't wait to get on the lake & enjoy every second I am there!!!

I love Maine truly in the summer - NOT much at all in the winter.. I hope your trips up here in July and August are nice and the weather fantastic!!

I think we need to go somewhere that CAN handle us.. like Vegas.. HA HA HA!

i think we need a re-do of MN. i would love to see more of it?!?! Suzi what do you think?

Whoo Hoo - Vegas... - actually, Las Vegas wigs me out. It kind of pops up in the middle of the desert with out of place buildings and landmarks. I've only had a short layover in the airport once, and that was enough for me.

I hope you enjoyed your work outs.

Good idea... :scratchin I should have done that.

I wish I had enough leftovers for all of us - I didn't. Oh well.

Your day is super crazy!!! I sure hope it all worked out.

I think we need to go somewhere that CAN handle us.. like Vegas.. HA HA HA!

i think we need a re-do of MN. i would love to see more of it?!?! Suzi what do you think?

Hahaha... Yah - I don't have much desire to see Vegas at all... Now, Hoover Dam on the other hand, I'd love to see.

Yes... We didn't do much in MN... Sadly - it was a short trip, and the MOA took presidence. There is so much more to do here.

So excited that you booked your airfare for Maine. That is going to be an awesome trip for you three.

Yes - I am very excited about this trip! I cannot wait to see my 2 best Dis buds again!

Thankfully we were able to get most of our glasses ordered last night... I"ll explain below. But I agree - it's good to take care of your eyes.

Yay!!! It's coming so soon! :woohoo: And so nice of your parents to dog sit for you!

Sounds like a nice day/evening (well, except running to PO for taxes for Alli).

My headache has finally subsided on my antibiotic I got last night and I even caught up everywhere and updated my own PTR.

We have the kids coming this weekend and can't wait.

Have a good day.

Oh no!!! I sure hope you are feeling better. I missed that you had a headache.

Thanks for letting me know you did an update... I plan to go around and catch up everywhere again today. ::yes::

I hope you have a great weekend with the kids - I know you always do.

I would love to do MN again. We didn't really know eachother yet and the trip was shorter. We mostly planned the Mall, so I would love to see more of D's world!

I am so excited!!! Well - one rainy day would be OK. ::yes:: We could just hang out and drink coffee.

Oooh - that's right!!! ::yes:: We really need to plan that one year - that would be fun. I've only ever been to Disney in FL, and it would be fun to see a little more of that area. LOL

Yes, I am very excited for it. I am not sure how many days we are at? I need to get a countdown going. I keep forgetting every time I sit down at my tablet... Which is often. LOL

So glad that your weather is finally spring like for you! And :woohoo: for putting your summer tires on again - that's a sure sign.

I hope you are doing well Lillian.

YAY so happy you were able to do this !!! I hope to meet up with you three at some point.. My son is graduating on 6/5 so it might be tricky but I'll do my best to hopefully pop in someplace!!

I love Maine truly in the summer - NOT much at all in the winter.. I hope your trips up here in July and August are nice and the weather fantastic!!

I sure hope we can!!! I am looking forward to it - even if it's only a 10 minute thing. ::yes:: It still counts. LOL

I am very excited! I've never been to the East coast at all... So this will be exciting for me.

Whoo Hoo - Vegas... - actually, Las Vegas wigs me out. It kind of pops up in the middle of the desert with out of place buildings and landmarks. I've only had a short layover in the airport once, and that was enough for me.

Yah - I don't have much of a desire to see Vegas at all. I am just not big on Casinos - I never have been. I don't like to throw my $$ away. Now, if we went for the shows - I would be A-OK with that. ::yes::

********************************************************************************************

I had a good day yesterday... Well, not really. Sigh.

I did my heavy lifting - which was fine.

I went up to work... Which was fine. Until I bent another needle. Yah - silly me... When I bent my needle the week before last, I forgot to get more. So, yesterday, I went through every single needle I had - including taking the needle out of Mr. R to use in Patience... No luck - she wouldn't make a single stitch. So, I did what I could of the bag yesterday on Mr. R... When I went to town, I purchased 3 different packs of needles... 2 regular and 1 titanium... Brought them home and tried them out last night. She will make a stitch on single layers of fabric/batting... but doubling or more of the batting and she won't make a stitch at all. :( This is a BIG DEAL, because I frequently have to go through 4, 6 and 8 layers of batting when I make a bag - and if she won't make a stitch, then I am in trouble. So, much of today will be trying to figure out the issue. :( I know it's a needle - I just know it. I ordered some needles last night online, from my vintage sewing parts girl - in the hopes that they are better quality than what I am getting in town. Praying it works.

So, once I was done with what work I could do yesterday... Gus came over and we had a chat (Alli was home from school with her mono stuff - yes, that's still going on)... He leaves for college in a month and he just wanted to talk to us about his plans. It was nice chatting with him - it's going to be a rough year for him and Allison - but they are going to try to make it work.

Then we left to pick up V from school and we all went to get our glasses ordered. V's were in stock... Allison's frames were in stock, but not her lenses, and my lenses were in stock, but not my frames. So, V got her new glasses last night, but the rest of us have to wait. Ours should be ready in a week. I decided to go with the brown/tortoise ones this time. It took them a while to get our insurance figured out... I think they had their setting wrong, because our glasses were all double the cost that they should have been. I called Josh and I think the girl at the dest overheard our conversation, because when I hung up - she said "let me check one thing with your insurance" - she clicked a button and everything was right. So, I think she had us under "standard" coverage and not "high" coverage. So, V's glasses ended up being $43 and Alli's ended up being $37... Mine should be the same as V's - since our frames are the same price, but I couldn't pay for mine yet, because my frames weren't there.

We all wandered around the mall for a while while we waited for V's glasses.

Then we stopped at Chipotle on the way home for dinner... Gus has never eaten at Chipotle before, he said he liked it and would eat it again. So, that's cool.

We all hung out for a little while.

I photo of Cooper for you... Getting a belly rub.

Adam%2011100961_10200476179825254_6923506685423697239_n.jpg

Today... I will be doing my 30DS and some shoulder work this morning.

Then I will be in my sewing room all day, trying to figure out my machine... Probably crying a little bit.

I will probably go to town and pick the girls up from school.

And that's about it. Nothing exciting.

I have a day planned with V tomorrow, which we are both pretty excited about. ::yes::

I Hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you!

D~

I'm so sorry to hear about the sewing machine trouble. I hope you figure it out without too much frustration

I'm doing ok, thanks  The hardest time now is when I'm going to bed.

From Saturday to Sunday I'm going to a town a short train ride from Oslo on a conference. So today I'm packing the things I need to have with me. I need to get up at 05.45am tomorrow to go to the airport.

My headache has finally subsided on my antibiotic I got last night and I even caught up everywhere and updated my own PTR.

This is GREAT!! I am so glad your feeling better before your trip!!!

I would love to do MN again. We didn't really know eachother yet and the trip was shorter. We mostly planned the Mall, so I would love to see more of D's world!

I was still trying to figure out who was the mass murder was...

Can't wait to have you both here! I just pray for nice weather because everything I have planned is outdoors!

Just as long as i can take some wonderful pictures, and hang out with my crazies i will be more then happy.
I'm driving with bradey on the 4 wheeler.. you know my driving.

Plus, remember....we always have a free house with a pool about 10 mins from the beach in SW Florida anytime we want to do the annual trip there :)

we have to keep this one in mind. a nice relaxing vaca? what's that?!?! Oh oh does it come with a hottie pool boy?!?!

I've only had a short layover in the airport once, and that was enough for me.

:rotfl2:

Hahaha... Yah - I don't have much desire to see Vegas at all... Now, Hoover Dam on the other hand, I'd love to see.

DEATH VALLEY!!! old ghost towns..
It's ok I will save you from any spooky things. Other then this i don't gamble!! If im going to give my money away i might as well give it to a charity who needs it.

Yes... We didn't do much in MN... Sadly - it was a short trip, and the MOA took presidence. There is so much more to do here.

Like to said to Suzi we were still figuring each other out.. Like the clue game.. Which one of us was the killer... Thankfully none and we bonded the best out there!
I would love to see some other things besides the lice lady...

Yes - exactly... My world is pretty boring, but I am sure we could find something to do. ::yes:: And I would love to have you all come here again... And this time - please stay at my house... It will be a little crowded, but much cheaper.

If we are staying at your house--- i call Moose and Cooper!!!!

I am so excited!!! Well - one rainy day would be OK. ::yes:: We could just hang out and drink coffee.

I have to agree 100% on this. coffee and lobster, reggae, on the island.
we didn't have any fun quotes in Chicago.. just you heckling the homeless...

Oooh - that's right!!! ::yes:: We really need to plan that one year - that would be fun. I've only ever been to Disney in FL, and it would be fun to see a little more of that area. LOL

there's more in Florida??! WHAT?:scared1:
