They Should Really Put a Bar in Here - Closing Thoughts - 4/1

Anyway, when we left off, we were heading back out of the Seas. We had some time to kill before our Soarin’ Fast Passes were good, so we decided to head over to see if there was any wait to visit Figment.

Wait? To visit Figment?
Bwwwwaaaahhhaaaahhhaaaa….

We turned around and looked, and there was a squirrel in the under seat pouch of a stroller. He was jumping from stroller to stroller, going through bags. There were a couple of guys trying to chase it away, but it would just jump into the next stroller and they never could get to it. They finally had it chased to the end of the line of strollers and it decided to head for the landscaping. I’m sure that happens from time to time with snacks and crumbs being left in strollers, but that was the first time I’ve ever seen it. Gotta admit, the little guy was smart!

Of the various characters involved in that story…
I’d agree that the squirrel was far and away the smartest one there.

I really wish this ride/pavilion actually had more imagination to it than just the name of the place.

That sums it up rather succinctly. :sad2:

we decided to go ride It’s a Small Mexico.

Much better music on that version. :rotfl:

We headed in and just before we got to the queue, I smelled something. I told DW that DD needed a diaper. She asked if she needed it before we rode and as I was trying to plug my nose and hold her at arm’s length, I said yes.

One of them industrial strength loads. :scared:

I headed out to the restrooms while DS and DW stayed in the entry area of the pavilion waiting. When I got back, DW walked up behind me and started going through the bag. She grabbed diapers and wipes for DS and said she’d meet us back inside. I was starting to think the kids were trying to tell us something…

A delayed critical reaction to the Imagination pavilion perhaps?

When my sisters came back, they were on a mission to try to touch the ducks. Yes, my sisters are 26, going on 3.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

We had a nice ride, and then did something very odd. We sat down and watched the movie.

So… what’d ya’ think?

Yep, still bad.

That’s what I figured. :lmao:

We got back and headed straight over to EL Centro to eat. I don’t really know what it was, but I just didn’t feel very good. Must have been all the Beverly…

Serves ya’ right :rolleyes1:

They said you had to have your card marked for your entrée and dessert so I asked the CM if you have to get it marked for ice cream or if it counts as a dessert or what??? About that time a couple more cheerleaders came up and did the same thing the first group did. The CM called them out and asked for their cards…

Serves them right :lmao:

I timed my wait and I was standing in line for 18 minutes just to pay for our meal.

I’d have been… ummm, how to put this… Unpleased.
Yep, most certainly… unpleased.

We’d need to take full advantage of our time Friday, because it was going to be the last full park day.

Wow... already????

Disney time flies by so fast.
(unless you waiting for the trip to arrive… that takes forever).

Squirrel!!!!

Thursday, Dec 6

I wasn’t sure what he was doing until he walked over to us.

8450074975_3cdcc79955.jpg

Wow - I can't believe someone can catch one of those. Check out the expression on that lizard's face. :rotfl:

Anyway, as we were standing by the stroller parking at the Imagination Pavilion waiting on him, we heard a commotion behind us. We turned around and looked, and there was a squirrel in the under seat pouch of a stroller. He was jumping from stroller to stroller, going through bags. That must have been a very comical sight. OMG! :rotfl:

I really wish they’d improve the film quality, and steal some of the technology from Star Tours to make it a little more interesting.

I totally agree!

I almost forgot… we did have some other company. These guys.

8457118768_3f2b97a58e.jpg

They were awfully friendly, and I think they wanted our pretzels, but they left us alone, and we left them alone.

That's a great picture!

8450041543_d1840e5c2c.jpg

The bartender was AWESOME! Sis2, DW and I all ordered margaritas off the menu, but BiL wanted some drink he’d had in Cancun before.

I LOVE this place. Probably my favorite place in Disney World. Sounds like you had an awesome bartender.

DS was in plush Mickey heaven.

8451149162_b363961e37.jpg

Such a cute picture!

the cheerleaders weren’t much of an annoyance at dinner despite the fact that they made up about 75% of the restaurant’s capacity. However, it turns out we took a little bit too long finishing up our meals. When we went to check out, they had 2 registers open. The lines were literally backed up half way across the dining area. I timed my wait and I was standing in line for 18 minutes just to pay for our meal. We’d need to take full advantage of our time Friday, because it was going to be the last full park day.

18 minutes behind cheerleaders. :faint: I am so sorry!

Wow... already???? :faint:

Oh NO - your trip can't be coming to a close already.

LOL on you calling the boat ride in Mexico, "it's a small Mexico". That is funny. I love the nachos at that CS there.
It is a little less like it's namesake since the upgrade to the 3 Caballeros, but that part in the middle looks like it should be a scene in IASW. At least the music isn't quite as likely to drive you to the brink of insanity.

Yeah, I noticed your family likes the nachos about as much as we do. :thumbsup2

I feel the same way about Soarin' it just isn't as amazing to me as other people seem to think it is. I enjoy your use of the HA HA
I love the hang gliding feeling, but as far as the film goes with Soarin' there are a lot of things I'd change that would make it better. Maybe they should just make me an imagineer.

The Nelson Ha Ha is just one of those things that always goes through my head in those types of situations. :rotfl2:

Wait? To visit Figment?
Bwwwwaaaahhhaaaahhhaaaa….
Hey, it could happen. I think it did back in the 80's...

Of the various characters involved in that story…
I’d agree that the squirrel was far and away the smartest one there.
That's probably about right.

That sums it up rather succinctly.
Sadly...

Much better music on that version. :rotfl:
::yes::

One of them industrial strength loads. :scared:
They had to call in maintenance to fix spots where paint was peeling off the walls.

A delayed critical reaction to the Imagination pavilion perhaps?
Hmmm... that is quite likely.

So… what’d ya’ think?

That’s what I figured. :lmao:
Well, some things never change. And that movies seems to be one of those things.

Serves ya’ right :rolleyes1:
I survived.

Serves them right :lmao:
::yes::

I’d have been… ummm, how to put this… Unpleased.
Yep, most certainly… unpleased.
If we weren't on the QSDP, I'd have probably just pulled out enough cash to cover it, folded it together with our stamped cards and just handed it to the cashier as I walked by. And even though we were on the QSDP, I still seriously considered doing this.

Disney time flies by so fast.
(unless you waiting for the trip to arrive… that takes forever).
Good point.

Wow - I can't believe someone can catch one of those. Check out the expression on that lizard's face.
I know! It looks like it is just hanging out. I'd think it would be a little more ticked off.

That must have been a very comical sight. OMG! :rotfl:
Should have got a picture. I guess I was just having a hard time reacting and getting over that "holy crap, a squirrel's in that stroller" moment.:rotfl2:

I totally agree!
:thumbsup2

That's a great picture!
Thanks, but I think Sis took that one as she was trying to lure them in.

I LOVE this place. Probably my favorite place in Disney World. Sounds like you had an awesome bartender.
It was a great experience!!! I'd seen so many great things about the Cava, but this is the first time I'd ever been there. It definitely lived up to the expectations, and I just wish we'd have spent a little bit of time to hang out and try some of the appetizers.

Such a cute picture!
Thanks!

18 minutes behind cheerleaders. :faint: I am so sorry!
Waiting that long behind anybody just to pay for food is ridiculous. It was actually a little bit longer, I think there were 2 or 3 that got through the checkout before I realized this is going to take forever and actually looked at my phone to time it.

Oh NO - your trip can't be coming to a close already.
:sad2:

I wish that would deter DW from buying clothes with glitter!!! I think about half of DD's clothes are glitter. And therefore pretty much all of my clothes now have glitter on them too.:headache:

By the way, kind of unrelated, but a glitter story...
Last night I was sitting in the living room with DD and DS was in the kitchen yelling for help. He didn't sound like he was in any real danger, and I couldn't get there right away so I asked him what he wanted. I didn't get an answer, so I didn't worry about it. A few minutes later he came walking in with a container of red glitter and glitter all over himself. He said "these sprinkles are nasty." :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

DW had bought a container of red glitter for her cheerleaders to use to decorate some signs. It was a plastic container just like the sprinkles, and she had it sitting on the kitchen counter next to where she keeps the sprinkles for his ice cream. DS had pulled a chair up to the counter and climbed up there and tried eating the glitter, because he thought it was sprinkles. Talk about a mess...

Thanks for the gut busting laugh this morning!!!! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: That was absolutely hilarious to picture. I actually had tears in my eyes!! :lmao:

Now on to the update...

Wow, that squirrel story is ridiculous!! Those little guys are pretty smart though, I have to give them that. I will have to remember to lock up the snacks well on our next trip. I guess it's like locking up your food when you go camping so the bears don't come to visit!

Ehhh, I don't get the big deal over Soarin' either. It's an okay ride, but not worth the need to hustle over there for FPs in the morning or wait forever in the standby line.

Thanks for saving me time on watching that Norway movie. Now I know we have continued to make the right decision in skipping it every time. :thumbsup2

The pic of DS with the plush Mickey is so adorable! I'm glad he got his Bullseye pillow pet, he seems like he is really enjoying it. :rotfl: Paxton loves his Mickey he got for Christmas. They do everything together!

Love your paparazzi style photos of the Test Track event too. :cool2:

You should have seen the diaper a couple of days later... :sad2:

The bag with the snacks in it is always the one that we carry with us, but it definitely did make me stop and think about what we do or don't leave down there. :lmao:

Ehhh, I don't get the big deal over Soarin' either. It's an okay ride, but not worth the need to hustle over there for FPs in the morning or wait forever in the standby line.
My biggest knock on it is that it is supposed to simulate a flight, yet you just cut from one random scene to the next. It would be a lot better if there was more continuity to the video and multiple destinations. :thumbsup2

Thanks for saving me time on watching that Norway movie. Now I know we have continued to make the right decision in skipping it every time. :thumbsup2
I made the sacrifice for all my Disfriends. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

DS probably had more fun with the Mickeys in the store than he does with the ones he has at home. :rotfl2: He has a few plushes/stuffed animals that he kind of goes through phases with. He hasn't really ever had that one go-to toy yet.

Love your paparazzi style photos of the Test Track event too. :cool2:
Maybe I could have gotten closer if there had been a Hanson stalker around to give me some tips... :lmao::rotfl2:

One thing I forgot to mention in the last update was that when we arrived at EPCOT, the Gold monorail was sitting in the station. It would actually be parked there all day. At the time, I wondered if maybe they closed the monorail for the day so that it wouldn’t be going through Future World since they were closing the area around the Test Track pavilion early that afternoon for the grand opening press event. Now having been home and reading about the frequent monorail break downs, I suspect that might have been the issue. :confused3
I'll bet they had Cooter under the hood installing a supercharger and and a horn that played Dixie.

Anyway, when we left off, we were heading back out of the Seas. We had some time to kill before our Soarin’ Fast Passes were good,
You wouldn't have had the actually been 45 minutes like you were told. :rotfl2:

so we decided to head over to see if there was any wait to visit Figment.
Oh, that's not necessary. If the line isn't stretching all the way back to the seas, it's probably going to be walk on. Probably a jog on. Heck, you can probably sprint through queue and dive into a car without hitting anyone.

So far their success rate has been… well, less than spectacular.
NEVER GIVE UP! No matter how much your brother makes fun of you, never give up!

My sisters were jealous of his cat like reflexes.
He probably picked him up at the gift shop for $10 and hid him in his pocket to make it look like he caught one.

He then headed into the restroom to wash his hands…
Why? You should have licked the little guy first to see if it made Figment any more tolerable. :rotfl:

I’m sure that happens from time to time with snacks and crumbs being left in strollers, but that was the first time I’ve ever seen it. Gotta admit, the little guy was smart!
There was probably an empty Beverly cup on the ground. He was looking for anything - including diapers - to get the taste out his mouth.

We headed in and just before we got to the queue, I smelled something.
Wasn't me.

I was starting to think the kids were trying to tell us something…
Yeah - "We wanted Sunshine Seasons. See what Nachos do to us?"

BiL headed off to a cart to grab a couple of pretzels and some beer to bring back over to us. We ended up sitting there for at least an hour, just relaxing and taking in this view.
:thumbsup2 Win.

We had a nice ride, and then did something very odd. We sat down and watched the movie.
 I've never seen it. The exit doors have never been locked, so I always just left. :confused3

vI was on a mission to see the top secret stuff they had planned for the TT press event. They had the door inside Mouse Gears that opens towards TT blocked off with 2 CM’s standing in front of it. The walkway between Mouse Gears and the Electric Umbrella was roped off so that you couldn’t enter and they had some potted shrubbery set up so that you couldn’t see through from there into the TT area. Well, I found a chink in the armor. [/QUOTE]
Were you humming the James Bond theme while you did it?

I'll bet they had Cooter under the hood installing a supercharger and and a horn that played Dixie.
Wait a minute! Did Disney just buy the rights to the Dukes of Hazard, too? Maybe they'll revive another series by making a movie that doesn't suck. :rotfl2::lmao:

You wouldn't have had the actually been 45 minutes like you were told. :rotfl2:
::yes::

Oh, that's not necessary. If the line isn't stretching all the way back to the seas, it's probably going to be walk on. Probably a jog on. Heck, you can probably sprint through queue and dive into a car without hitting anyone.
Actually, that's about right. But it would have been a little difficult to open the door to the building at speed. :rotfl2:

NEVER GIVE UP! No matter how much your brother makes fun of you, never give up!
:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

He probably picked him up at the gift shop for $10 and hid him in his pocket to make it look like he caught one.
That would explain the "Disney Parks" logo on it's back. :rolleyes1

Why? You should have licked the little guy first to see if it made Figment any more tolerable. :rotfl:
:faint:

There was probably an empty Beverly cup on the ground. He was looking for anything - including diapers - to get the taste out his mouth.
Or maybe he licked a lizard.

Yeah - "We wanted Sunshine Seasons. See what Nachos do to us?"
Let's be fair here... DD didn't eat anything from the Mexico CS.

 I've never seen it. The exit doors have never been locked, so I always just left. :confused3
Just keep doing your thing! :thumbsup2 :rotfl::rotfl2:

Were you humming the James Bond theme while you did it?
Of course not.

It was Mission: Impossible. :rolleyes1

Im sure that happens from time to time with snacks and crumbs being left in strollers, but that was the first time Ive ever seen it. Gotta admit, the little guy was smart!
That's funny. Too bad you don't have video of it. :lmao:

My mom has a picture from our first trip when I was 3 with Figment and Dreamfinder.
I was deprived as a kid and I never went to WDW till we brought Juliana in 2008. That's cool that you have a pic like that.

We finally made our way out of there and headed over to take turns riding Soarin. I know Ive said it before, but this ride just doesnt do much for me. I enjoy it and it is still a must do, but I never really feel compelled to ride it more than once. I really wish theyd improve the film quality, and steal some of the technology from Star Tours to make it a little more interesting.
When I ride I can't help but stare at the black speck that is near the top of the screen. I think it is a must do because there isn't much in the way of rides in Epcot.

BiL headed off to a cart to grab a couple of pretzels and some beer to bring back over to us. We ended up sitting there for at least an hour, just relaxing and taking in this view.
What a great BIL you have. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

When my sisters came back, they were on a mission to try to touch the ducks. Yes, my sisters are 26, going on 3. They had some crackers that they were using to lure the ducks in and then try to pet them. DS was smarter than they were. He wanted nothing to do with the ducks when theyd get close to us. Since my sisters were the only ones getting close to the ducks, I was really hoping one of them would get bit. Im still not sure theyd take that as a learning experience though.
My friend Mike went out to Indiana to see my friend Dave. In his subdivision, they have a pond. One night after dinner, they went for a walk and started feeding the ducks. Well, the ducks were taking bread right out of their hands. My friend Mike decided he was going to pick up the duck... and got a hold of him.

9217_1136865945582_7497922_n.jpg

After holding him for about a minute, the duck decided he was done being held and left a 'present' on Mike's shirt. :lmao::lmao:

9217_1136866225589_303016_n.jpg

Tell that to your sis... that might deter her from trying to pick up ducks. :rotfl::rotfl:

Awww... I hope you bought them all for him!

I did snap another quick picture in the direction of Test Track before we left. Thats how long we were in Mouse Gears. Complete daylight in the first picture, complete darkness in the second. We completely missed dusk.
:sad2: :scared:

They said you had to have your card marked for your entrée and dessert so I asked the CM if you have to get it marked for ice cream or if it counts as a dessert or what??? About that time a couple more cheerleaders came up and did the same thing the first group did. The CM called them out and asked for their cards&
WOOPS! They weren't slick enough.

I timed my wait and I was standing in line for 18 minutes just to pay for our meal.
That sucks. You probably could of asked to cut and just payed for the girl's meal who you stepped in front of. :rotfl2:

Late to the party, but I'm on board and have read up through Day 3. Great Job so far. Haven't been to "that other park" in years and I'm hoping that a solo trip will come along, or that either DS or DD will become a coaster freak and give me an excuse to take them over there.

Looking forward to reading more!

Okay, i'm so glad i'm not the only one trying to catch one of those lizards! They are impossible to catch. Well, I guess not impossible now that i've seen it can be done.

Are you kidding me with the squirrel!? How bizarre. Yet cool :thumbsup2

The picture of your son on bullseye - too adorable for words. Such a great shot of him.

Bleh. I can't believe you were waiting for 18 minutes. What a nightmare! Especially if you still weren't feeling good at the time. I'm not sure what's worse - cheerleaders or BTG's :confused3

Sounds like y'all were having a fun day at EPCOT! :thumbsup2

Sorry you didn't get to do the whole design thing for Test Track though.

That guy with the dog sounds uber-creepy. :scared: And I'm with you - what service could that dog have been providing? :confused3

Glad those cheerleaders got called out!

Anyway, as we were standing by the stroller parking at the Imagination Pavilion waiting on him, we heard a commotion behind us. I read this when you first updated and thanks to the darn phone, never replied. I hate it when I do that!

Coincidentally, later that evening, I got on Twitter and noticed that I’d just missed seeing Len Testa by less than an hour. I don’t use Twitter much on a day to day basis, but I follow a lot of the Disney podcasts/news sources on Twitter. I was looking to see what was going on with the Test Track press event that evening and noticed that Len had tweeted that he was heading to Cava at 4 pm that afternoon. We had just left there around 3 or 3:30. Would have been cool to meet him, but oh well.

Bummer, I don't follow twitter anything at all but that would have been cool to meet him, I do listen to his podcasts.

8451149162_b363961e37.jpg

He ended up getting the Bullseye pillow pal from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas because he kept going back to ride it in the store. He wasn’t too happy when we finally made him get in the stroller so we could move to other areas of the store. I don’t even remember how long we were in Mouse Gears, but it felt like forever…

That store is nuts, serious sensory overload yet for some reason I vastly prefer it to WOD. Adorable pillow!

DW easily managed to get above the $50 mark so that we could get the discount with our Disney Visa when we checked out. We had so much stuff hanging from the handle of the stroller I thought I was going to have to add some ballast to keep all 4 wheels grounded. We headed for the exit, but still had to stop at another gift shop next to Spaceship Earth. Apparently, there was a tumbler that DW had seen somewhere that they didn’t have in Mouse Gears. Didn’t have it there either.

I did snap another quick picture in the direction of Test Track before we left. That’s how long we were in Mouse Gears. Complete daylight in the first picture, complete darkness in the second. We completely missed dusk.

8450038335_4c25119ffc.jpg

That is LONG time in Mouse Gears! Too funny about the stroller, think of how you'd have managed all of that without it though!

Luvin your update.
Thanks!

That's funny. Too bad you don't have video of it. :lmao:
I know! It was pretty funny to watch.

I was deprived as a kid and I never went to WDW till we brought Juliana in 2008. That's cool that you have a pic like that.
I'm sorry... but it looks like you're doing a good job of making up for it now.

When I ride I can't help but stare at the black speck that is near the top of the screen. I think it is a must do because there isn't much in the way of rides in Epcot.
::yes::

What a great BIL you have. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
Most of the time... :rotfl2::rotfl:

Tell that to your sis... that might deter her from trying to pick up ducks. :rotfl::rotfl:
That is why you'll never find me doing that kind of stuff.:sad2:

Awww... I hope you bought them all for him!
Well, I will say that we definitely didn't and we're still trying to pay the credit card bills. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

WOOPS! They weren't slick enough.
Not quite... they probably would have been fine though if that annoying guy standing in line had kept his mouth shut. :rolleyes1

That sucks. You probably could of asked to cut and just payed for the girl's meal who you stepped in front of. :rotfl2:
Do you have any idea how many meals I'd have had to pay for using that idea??? :headache:

Late to the party, but I'm on board and have read up through Day 3. Great Job so far. Haven't been to "that other park" in years and I'm hoping that a solo trip will come along, or that either DS or DD will become a coaster freak and give me an excuse to take them over there.

Looking forward to reading more!
:welcome:
I definitely hope you get a chance to slip over there sometime. You can always sell Seuss Landing as a fun diversion for the kids. The coasters are awesome, but there's really only a few anyway. :thumbsup2

Okay, i'm so glad i'm not the only one trying to catch one of those lizards! They are impossible to catch. Well, I guess not impossible now that i've seen it can be done.
Well, they definitely don't just sit there and make it easy... :lmao:

Are you kidding me with the squirrel!? How bizarre. Yet cool :thumbsup2
Yes... it happened. I really wish I had caught it on video, but I was too shocked and entertained to even want to try messing with a camera. :rotfl2:

The picture of your son on bullseye - too adorable for words. Such a great shot of him.
Thanks

Bleh. I can't believe you were waiting for 18 minutes. What a nightmare! Especially if you still weren't feeling good at the time. I'm not sure what's worse - cheerleaders or BTG's :confused3
It was definitely frustrating to have to stand there for that long. The checkout process there is just way too inefficient!

Sounds like y'all were having a fun day at EPCOT! :thumbsup2
Definitely!

Sorry you didn't get to do the whole design thing for Test Track though.
Well, it became a personal mission of mine to make it happen before we leave...

That guy with the dog sounds uber-creepy. :scared: And I'm with you - what service could that dog have been providing? :confused3
He was definitely a little bit creepy. And I left my knife in the hotel room. Is it bad that one of my first thoughts was what kind of weapon do I have at my disposal? :rolleyes1

Glad those cheerleaders got called out!
:thumbsup2

I read this when you first updated and thanks to the darn phone, never replied. I hate it when I do that!
I do that a lot too... I'll be looking for something to kill some time and read stuff on the phone, but it is just so hard to write a reply.

Bummer, I don't follow twitter anything at all but that would have been cool to meet him, I do listen to his podcasts.
I really don't use it much at all. I've heard of it, I have an account, but I just use it to follow Disney stuff and sports that I'm interested in. Most of the time though, I never even check it unless there's something going on that I think might be posted about on there. :confused3

That store is nuts, serious sensory overload yet for some reason I vastly prefer it to WOD. Adorable pillow!
Probably because it is less crowded and has better sight lines than WoD. I hate that store, you can't go in there without losing somebody.

That is LONG time in Mouse Gears! Too funny about the stroller, think of how you'd have managed all of that without it though!
It was too long. I hate shopping. :headache:

Real life updates...

I mentioned that Sis2 had been in the application/interview process to go back to school for veterinary medicine. She got the letter this weekend, she's in!

DW's cheerleaders have been doing an awesome job cheering on the girls basketball team this year. The high school girls basketball playoffs are underway in Indiana, and the Spartans won their regional for the second year in a row, and are in the final four in class A. Hopefully they can get a little farther than they did last year with a semi-state win next Saturday...

Coincidentally, next Saturday is also our fifth wedding anniversary, so I guess I'm off the hook from having to make plans. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

And finally, we have been trying to figure out what we want to do for vacation this year. We want to do something within driving distance that is kid friendly. DW really wants to do a beach trip, so we were talking about some locations last night. I have no idea why, but she doesn't like Atlantic Ocean beaches, so we were looking at Gulf Shores or Panama City Beach... then she mentioned her Sister and BiL were taking their son to Disney World next summer and thought maybe we could go to St. Pete beach and then drive over to Disney World for a day. Naturally, I say, if we're going to Disney World for a day, we might as well make it at least 3 or 4... Next thing I know she's looking at pictures of AoA on her iPad.

I really have no idea if we'll do Disney, and I seriously doubt it. We really had no plans to go back for at least a couple of years, but I can assure you if she gives me the opening, I'm going for it. I'm just impressed that my DW who has never really been a Disney fanatic was the one that mentioned it to begin with. I think I'm making some progress.:woohoo:

Congrats all around! The conversation you had with your DW was very similar to the one I had with my DW last summer which eventually led to our trip last month! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I lived in Indianapolis for 3 years and reading about your DW's cheerleading squad and basketball team made me miss Indiana. Used to visit Inpls every year after I moved away for the draft party of our Fantasy Football League (10 years and going strong!) but now by popular demand we've moved the draft to Vegas and Chicago alternating so it's been a few years.

I mentioned that Sis2 had been in the application/interview process to go back to school for veterinary medicine. She got the letter this weekend, she's in!

Nice! :cool1:

Coincidentally, next Saturday is also our fifth wedding anniversary, so I guess I'm off the hook from having to make plans. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Even better! You can stop to celebrate at Taco Bell on the way home.

And finally, we have been trying to figure out what we want to do for vacation this year. We want to do something within driving distance that is kid friendly. DW really wants to do a beach trip, so we were talking about some locations last night. I have no idea why, but she doesn't like Atlantic Ocean beaches,

Clearly, she hasn't been to the Delaware beaches. :sad2:

On the other hand, it's hard to argue with that logic. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it!

Thanks!

DW enjoys coaching cheerleading, and I guess the part I like about it is that it gives me an excuse to watch a lot of basketball games. :rotfl2: I love the intensity of high school rivalry and post season games. Especially when the team you're watching is winning a lot of games. :thumbsup2

I love the idea of a Fantasy league that does a "destination" draft. The big league I'm in with my friends from college can't seem to find a time when about half of us can even get together just to hang out and all but one of us live in Indiana still. We do have a live online draft, and DW complains enough about the fact that I check out to focus on that for a couple of hours when it rolls around. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

I was thinking White Castle. Nothing says romance like a dozen sliders. :lmao::rotfl2:

I've actually never been on a Delaware beach either. The only one I've been to on the peninsula is Ocean City.

If only I knew what it was. :confused3 :rotfl2:
