They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

:welcome: I'm glad you've joined.

Hey, I'm all for making more friends, come on down!

You don't want to give us our own reality show, because my Pop's head would just inflate even more than it is. This DIS fame is enough for him. :rotfl2

His head would be so big he wouldn't fit through the door. :lmao::lmao:

It's so good, I know! And I'm coming by your TR in a matter of minutes! Oh man, I'm sorry about the gluten in the sauce! I'm not going to lie, I'm so glad I don't have a gluten intolerance, because it really seems like it can be difficult for you guys!

He is totally not wearing any pants. I'm convinced. :lmao:

My non glutenness does suck, but because Disney is the best, they have so many options for me. It's the one place that I almost forget about it!:cloud9:

Definitely need to add cake cups to the list of things to try in October! Those look awesome.

And a big AW on the PP pic. Lucky Popadon!

Oh oh! She's here and responding! Does this mean impending post!?

Hahaha, sorry, I didn't update yesterday! I'm hoping to churn one out tonight though, so stay tuned.

Joining in as well. And even though I lurk on both Caitlin's and Mek's trip reports yours is the first I've posted on. Just here to say y'all are hilarious and that we have faaaaaaaaaaaar to much in common lol

:welcome: I'm glad that you're here! And thank you for making my TR the first one you've posted on! That's pretty awesome, I have to say.

His head would be so big he wouldn't fit through the door. :lmao::lmao:

Bahahahaha, you know it!

My non glutenness does suck, but because Disney is the best, they have so many options for me. It's the one place that I almost forget about it!:cloud9:

I'm sure that it does, but everyone that I know that needs to go gluten free says that Disney really is the best place to do it, because they are so accommodating.

Definitely need to add cake cups to the list of things to try in October! Those look awesome.

And a big AW on the PP pic. Lucky Popadon!

OMG, definitely add it to your list, they're so great.

Yup, he's definitely a lucky guy. :lmao:

Day 7 - Wednesday May 21, 2014 continued.

Having just wrapped up our FP+ at Peter Pan and deciding to head out of the park, I wanted to make one final stop on the way out. I had a tinker fairy to meet.

Holler of all hollerific moments, the wait time was only listed at 15 minutes!

When we were in line, there was a really nice family in front of us that we struck up a conversation with. The Pop and the Dad started discussing their love of golf, while Mom and I spoke with the Mom about DVC and the vacation club in general. They owned in a different timeshare, so we were able to compare differences. Because they could only book FP+ 30 days out, they couldn't book Anna and Elsa for their daughter. We discussed that it was one of the major perks of staying on property.

Soon, we were getting shrunk down to pixie size. For real though, I wish that I could do this in real life. Just walk through and pixie size myself.

I really liked the little details in here.

Soon we were getting up there to meet Tinkerbell, and Pop was standing off to the side. Come on you froot loop dingus, you're going to meet Tinkerbell!

Well, Tinkerbell was having none of Pop standing off to the side. She stood there with her hands on her hips and asked him why he wasn't coming over there to say hello to her! Well, of course, who could resist that. Pop wised up and headed over to say hello.

It's like he's trying to plead his case here.

And clearly, he turned on the Popadon charm and said something that made Tink laugh.

She was absolutely on point this one. I met three Tinks on this trip, and this one was the best friend of Tink to meet. She asked us where we were from, and I told her from Chicago, where it had actually flurried only days before! She complained about the fact that Periwinkle was clearly making it pretty cold for us. All I have to say is if you meet this friend of Tink, you will love her.

At that point, I asked Tink if she would take a selfie with me, which of course she obliged.

We took a nice one first.

And then she turned to me and said "we should be silly this time!"

My favorite part of this though is that the PP photographer caught it!

All in all, I am so glad that we stopped to meet Tink. She was a great M&G, and Pop. Well, let's just say Pop wants to meet Tink all the time now. Because he was absolutely twitterpated.

After that lovely meet and greet, it was time for us to head out for our afternoon swim and japoolzi stop. We had dinner at the Yachtsman planned, which meant that we wanted to fancy ourselves up just a little bit before going to dinner.

I texted Missy to let her know that we were thinking about going to mini-golf after dinner, and that if she was interested she was welcome to come along.

The pool was awesome and refreshing, as it always is. After our dip, we started to freshen up and we talked about walking to the Yacht Club.

I know, this is going to make us sound like a bunch of pansies. We are.

It was super hot that day. And I knew that if we walked over to the Yacht Club we would be melting by the time we got there. No one wants to eat dinner at a lovely restaurant like the Yachtsman while they're sweating like a bunch of pigs. No thank you.

So we decided to take the car.

My outfit for the night.

After our super lengthy drive of......five minutes, we arrived at the resort.

Mom was pretty excited, because she had never eaten at the Yachtsman before. Only Pop and I had.

We were seated right away, but shortly after we got there the restaurant filled up. Looks like we made our reservation for the right time.

At this point, we settled in for a nice lengthy meal. I mean, that's what you go to the Yachtsman for, right? We were going a little more all out, so appetizers were on the menu.

We ordered the blue lump crab appetizer.

And the artisanal cheese.

The cheese plate is more for Mom. I love cheese, don't get me wrong, but I'm not a huge fan of goat cheese, and unfortunately for me, most artisanal cheese is goat cheese. Womp womp.

The blue crap appetizer though was delicious. A lot of crab meat, which is an important component, and the breading was very light.

Mom and I both ordered the filet with the mashed potatoes for our entree.

While Pop ordered the prime rib.

We also ordered a side of the truffle mac and cheese for the table. I ordered this because I love the truffle mac from Jiko.

I'm just going to say. This is not like the truffle mac from Jiko. See, the truffle flavor at Jiko is a pleasant addition. Very light just to add a hint of flavor. This version. It's like I stuck an entire truffle in my mouth. WOOOOOOOO!!! That's a little much for me.

To which I said "this is super truffly".

I think my Mom was going to fall off her chair laughing. She looked at me and said "well what do you expect?"

I told her that I thought it would be like the version from Jiko. And then I said apparently I'm just not fancy enough to enjoy copious amounts of truffle flavoring.

Continued from previous post:

Of course, since we were having a great long meal, we had to get dessert. We decided to get the creme brûlée and the peanut cake. Our server recommended the peanut cake, and let me tell you, it was out of this world! Apparently, it takes them quite a few hours to prepare this lovely dessert, and truthfully it shows. It's incredibly yummy.

All in all, our meal was a success. Mom said that it was her favorite meal of the trip. I was glad, because Pop and I had talked about how good it was, and I didn't want her to be disappointed. It was so nice to be able to relax and take our time throughout dinner.

Would we be mini-golfing?

Um NO! Who in their right mind would think that they would be mini-golfing after eating at the Yachtsman.

We decided to head to the store at the Yacht Club to work off some of our dinner. While I was there, I took pictures of all of the Magic Band accessories for my lovely DISfriend Popartgirl.

And we did a little shopping. Do not go into stores on a full stomach!!! I'm telling you.

Mom bought me a Beautifully Disney eyeshadow palette.

I'm going to tell you honestly right now, they're not the best quality. For the price, I would expect them to be better. Not that they're terrible, don't get me wrong. And I think I'm going to try another one just to see, but they're not great.

Earlier in the day, we had shopped a little at the Magic Kingdom too, so here's my goodies.

Vera Bradley makeup bag. Best travel makeup bag ever! Oh man, it's the perfect size.

I thought this was totally cute and a good carryon for the plane.

This is the perfect size for the smaller purses that I use in Disney sometimes.

All in all, we had a great day and it was another fabulous ending to a fabulous day. When we got back to the Boardwalk and were walking to our villa, I saw Missy in the store. So of course, we bombarded her in there. I think the cast member thought we had all lost our dang minds. Hehehe, sneak attack! We talked a little and she asked what we were doing the next day. I told her that Epcot was the plan and she said that's where she was heading to. So we agreed to text each other in the morning to see if we could meet up.

Of course, as soon as our heads hit the pillows that night we passed out. A large quantity of food can do that to a person.

Up next: Wouldn't you call it a we-sie?

Awwww...I love the pictures of Popadon with Tink, and your selfies are priceless...especially the silly face.

I'm glad you had a good meal at Yachtsman (I read two disappointed reviews and was getting a little worried because we loved it there the three times we ate there). I told Mark about the peanut cake and his eyes lit up.

Love your purchases. I have your make-up bag in a hipster and it is the one I am bringing on the trip Friday.

You are just having the best meet and greets.

Love the fruitloop dingus comment. :rotfl2:

Love love love the last last PP picture of tink and you after the silly selfie. So cute and candid.

Yachtsman, someday I will get there but so many other places to try. Looks yummy.

I always love reading your TRs! They are soo much fun and I feel like I'm right there :) I'll be heading there myself in a week.

Question! I hope you don't mind, but how much was the Vera Bradley makeup bag? I just absolutely adore it!

She does seem like an awesome Tink. We had a great one too in May :) And in October last year for that matter.

Hey, if it's super hot I'm all for driving ;)

The Yachtsman does look delicious. It's on my bucketlist someday because I love steak.

Very cute buys, you're making me want to spend money I don't have when I get there and thanks for the heads up on the eyeshadow.

That Tink sounds perfect. Wow the Yachtsman looks good! Especially that peanut dessert. Love the Ariel dress. You're right: any activity after a big dinner is a no no lol.

Great meet with Tink and the pictures with Popadon are priceless. Glad he decided to loosen up and enjoy the moment! But I did notice in that once picture that Tink's eyebrows are a little harsh. Hmmmmm. Look at me. Being a makeup critic so early in the morning.

Speaking of makeup - love the pallet and all your awesome gifts. The Disney vera pattern is too cute. I don't know how I will resist it much longer. :rotfl:

Dinner looks delish. So glad that everyone enjoyed it. That is one restaurant that I haven't eaten at yet because I just don't love steak. And I think its wrong to go there and NOT order steak. What a conundrum! :rotfl2:

Caught up on your Dark Side Day (1)

:cool1:

Your update left me wanting to do a lot of the things you described that we have never done.

Your breakfast at chik-fil-a sounded great. We have never been and don't have one anywhere close to us, and I don't see us going anytime soon.

We have been to Universal/IoA for two stays in the past few years, and we will be going back in February for all of the new HP stuff. Can't wait!!! :wizard:

Totally agree with all of your comments:

The Greenhouse at Forbidden Journey- too big and not magical!

Frozen Butterbeer > Regular, and it's not just for breakfast anymore (but does make a great morning snack)

The wait time on Despicable Me- not really worth it

and Transformers is TOTALLY Spiderman. But not as good. Maybe because I haven't really watched Transformers, so I don't really get the storyline. And the ride is down. A lot!

*****************************************

I have never been to Wolfgang Puck, the Dining Room or WPE. Yours is the first review I have seen of the DR, and boy does it look awesome. We don't always eat at Downtown Disney, but when we do, we eat in the Jurassic era with dinosaurs. The guys love T-Rex.

Also have not had a Ghiradelli sundae. That must be corrected!!!

And since he was back in the room and getting ready to relax, Pop had to start acting like. Well. Like Pop.

This!

I love this picture. And the story of why your dad's knee hurts.

Your dad rocks! :rotfl2:

What a great finale with you and your mom hanging out with the Caitlin Clan.

:goodvibes

I just love your TR updates! They are so fun and positive and also are increasing my vocabulary. Truffly sounds like a legit word to me!

I love your Little Mermaid dress! And the leggings! You are like a Hot Topic model!

Can't wait to see the next update. I bet your 60-day FP mark for your November trip is coming up soon. Hope you get all of your pics!!

Awesome photos with Tink! How could your Dad resist!?

Love your Big Brother reference! (I miss Zach!)

Your dinner at Yachtsman looks delish. I take it those were sweet potatoes with your dad's prime rib? Yum!

Going in the stores is such a slippery slope. The more I see of the Vera Bradley Disney stuff, the more I want it.

Oh I love a good Big Brother reference!! ;)

Great photos with Tink, even better that the PP photographer caught you in the selfie act!

Yet another great outfit!

I'm glad you all enjoyed dinner, it looks delicious!

This update was great simply because you used Zach's fruit loop reference. :rotfl:

I've never done a meet and greet with Tink, but it looks fun. It's great that she pretty much guilted your dad into the conversation. And I think my favorite photo was the last Photopass photograph, where you both are laughing at the picture on your phone. It was a perfect Disney moment captured.:goodvibes

Dinner at Yatchsman sounds delicious! That filet and peanut cake look mouthwatering. I can definitely see why that was one of your mom's favorite meals.

Cute makeup bag!

Okay, the autocorrections on your posts are cracking me up. For one, I caught "Womp womb." Like...a halfway depressing space for a fetus to grow? And you called Tink "Think" once...less funny, more ironic, as tinkering requires creative thinking. I love that meet with Popadon, and that the photographer did the meta-photos of selfies being taken. So fun! I really want to meet...like, all the characters. ALL OF THEM. Thanks for letting me vicariously vacation through you again! I can't wait for next time! <3

Looks like a great M&G with Tink! I love the PP pictures of the two of you taking a selfie/we-sie - especially the last one with Tink covering her laughing mouth!

Your meal at Yachtsman looks really good! Might need to get me some meat for lunch today!

And, apparently you are fancy enough to use the word "copious" though ;)

The Tink meet looks like so much fun! She is also still on my list. I love that the PP got you guys selfie-ing :goodvibes

The blue crap appetizer though was delicious. A lot of crab meat, which is an important component, and the breading was very light.

It doesnt sound very delicious! :rotfl2:
