They Call Me MISTER PIG- He Said, She Said (9/1 Lights, Thunder, Fantasmic? Page 47)

AWESOME update!!! I am so happy for you that Cat got to open toontown. How cool is that. I am sory that you lost your visa. I would have been so upset. Your trip report is making me want to go back to Disney World sooooooo bad. I am really enjoying your updates.:thumbsup2

Thank you for making my day so much better. I have had a bad morning and reading your post about opening ToonTown really changed my attitude. Your pictures brought tears to my eyes. Looking forward to reading more, especially about the PPP party. We will be attending our first on May 31st.

Glad it was a mood boost! :goodvibes I hope to have the PPP post up later tonight. He is going camping this weekend (grumble, grumble) so I figure I can rope him into another post before he leaves.

Are you going to dress up for the PPP? I highly recommend it. It was so much fun!

It was so amazing to see her running all over with Goofy. She met him several more times on our trip and everytime she mentioned opening ToonTown. The stuffed Goofy is now her must have for bedtime.

The visa thing was more annoying than anything. Luckily we had trust worthy family at home that could log into our computer and quickly transfer at He's money into my account, which is how I like it anyway!;)

Okay I am going to attempt this. He is leaving to go camping tomorrow so I figured it was the best chance I had to rope him into it. However I did spend most of today with a killer migraine. Also- and this maybe the migraine talking- we had over 650 hits on the last posting but well not so many comments. So if you are reading please just let us know. Type hi, or a smiley, or a frowny if you are a disapproving type of reader. Just something. Okay whining over.

My Pantaloons are Soggy!

She Said- I woke up before everyone and hustled over to the food court to retrieve the very yummy Coke Icees in our refillable mugs. Then I sat by the pool for awhile. I had a Dis-er to meet. Maybe it would have been smart to tell each other what we planned on wearing because I never got to meet TinkAsh and I really wanted to. So helpful hint: Let people know what you will be wearing. Makes everything easier!

Once back at the room I started getting dressed. This was going to take a while. See I had decided that we were going to dress up, all of us. I ordered my dress, custom made (as a woman it is hard to find a pirate outfit that wouldn’t fit in at a strip club) and the only problem was it required a full crinoline. Ten million layers later I was dressed. Hot but dressed.

I woke up He and he put on his pirate pantaloons and swashbuckling shirt. “Tink” had magically left a Giselle dress for The Cat. She loved it and I did up her hair with a cute tiara I bought before leaving home. Then we were ready to head back to (1)900 Park Fare.

He Said – We parked in the pauper lot, and made our way toward the restaurant. People stared. Obviously they had never seen a pirate and his grizzly womanfriend (She says gorgeous woman) escorting an underage princess to a banquet in a Victorian style resort. For a while I thought we would be the only gussied up buffoons there, and finally some kids showed up who were dressed up as well.

She Said – Dressing up is fun after you get past the first awkward hour. After that it’s a lot more fun!

day3ppp1.jpg

He Said - They let us into the waiting area where a child would be chosen to open the restaurant. The Cat was not chosen right off (surprise!) but some kid was all bratty when the nice man asked her, so The Cat managed to open another attraction. A Buffet style attraction, my favorite!

He Said- The host was babbling about it being a celebration of Cinderella and Prince Charming’s anniversary, but I was staring far in the distance, trying to eyeball what entrée I would attack first. After The Cat opened things up with a “Bibbity Bobbity Boo!” Cinderella and Prince Charming came and escorted us to our table. Number 63, same as the breakfast we had there before. Best seat in the house. We were met by an amazing server, who happened to earn a 25% tip from us. Not an easy feat.

She Said – Before I came to Disney, the idea of tipping 20% for a buffet restaurant baffled me. How much work could they be doing? Turns out, a lot. He was spectacular and worth every penny.

He Said – I think this meal takes us to around 20/75 orange sodas. My insides felt orange. We gave the food a B+ because it was multicultural. That’s another way of saying I wanted pizza and steak. She thought it was pretty good. I remember tasting something revolting, but most of it was okay.

We were soon met with an assortment of characters from that one story. The one with the shoe that was probably too expensive and only used on one occasion. She isn’t allowed to have shoes like that. They probably couldn’t find them in her size anyway. (Slapped.) First we saw Lady Tremaine. She was creepy. The Cat wasn’t especially fond of her. She was slightly humored to find out that she was included in our autograph book, on her own special, but not at all flattering page. Anastasia was next, and she wasn’t that ugly. I asked her if she wanted to take me instead of She, but she thought I looked poor and said “Uh, no.” I was heartbroken. Yet another Disney lady had dissed me. Watch out for puns.

She Said – He offered to trade me in! I’m not sure how I feel about this.

day3ppp6.jpg
day3ppp7.jpg

He Said – After Drizella came around, (she was as ugly as the part suggests) Cinderella and Mr. Prince waltz’d about the place.

She Said – I was worried about The Cat asking too many questions to the face characters. I was afraid she would notice slight differences, or ask them questions about previous meetings that this particular face character would know nothing about. Fortunately, Cinderella was the same CM from before, and remembered The Cat from when she opened ToonTown. No kidding, the first thing Cinderella mentioned was how she had remembered her from earlier that day. No parental prompts required!

day3ppp5.jpg
day3ppp4.jpg

He Said – There was a poor sap who was having a wedding reception there. I felt bad for the guy. That stuff ain’t cheap. The Cat danced around to a song with the step-sisters and then it was time to get the heck outta there. We did another bad thing and left our car at the Grand Floridian. We hopped on the monorail and were off the see the Capn!

She Said – When you walk into a PPP, they give you ugly wristbands that totally clash with your outfit. Any outfit. We got there a little before 6pm, so there wasn’t much of a crowd. I liked the fog and red carpet as you walk in, under the train station.

He Said – The maps don’t give you the good information. The Captain, candy distribution centers, and hot ladies are not marked on said map. Fortunately for us we had our ears to the ground and were about 8th in line to see the Man himself. We were next to the Dole Whip station. You know, where you get pineapple iced creams. She loves those.

She Said – That line was kind of fun. I got to meet fellow Dis-ers and other assorted Disney freaks. I fit right in.

He Said – We waited about an hour to see Captain Jack Sparrow, but at least we weren’t wasting precious party time to do it. He was impressive. The voice, the oddities, the costume, everything was perfect. I was a bit stunned really. He even let me smuggle a coin.

day3ppp8.jpg
day3ppp8a.jpg

She Said – Captain Jack was yummy. (Drool) He even liked my dress! From there we went to locate the X’s to try and nab some loot for The Cat. We got lucky again and hopped into the front of the line to me the Genie and Abu, hardly any wait! A lot of the X’s were giving out candy, but we found a few that gave our candy like ringpops and candy necklaces.

day3ppp9b.jpg

He Said – We ran over to Fantasy Land, where She grabbed another Dole Float and The Cat and I joined the dance party! Sebastian’s dance party was hoppin, and my bad dancing only made things better. The Cat was quite shy, oddly enough. We left and headed over to Dumbo, and then She managed to get The Cat onto Cinderella’s special horse. It’s the one with the golden ribbon on its tail. I managed to get on a special horse myself. This one managed to keep me on it.

day3ppp9a.jpg
day3ppp10.jpg

He Said- After that, it was time to grab a spot for the big parade. It was also time for it to start raining. She and The Cat grabbed a spot right near Casey’s. I was sent to fetch funnel cake. I’m led to believe that every hearty pirateman was also on a mission for funnel cake. Said funnel cake could only be acquired at the snack shop in Liberty Square. This would be the same infamous funnel cake producing snack shop that took nearly half an hour to distribute funnel cake with only three people in line. When I arrived, I was surprised the snack shop wasn’t handing out fish and bread. Another biblically sized group. She was not going to be happy, but I wasn’t about to wait three hours for some funnel cake. She wasn’t too impressed with the ice cream I returned with, but her focus was about to turn on us getting drenched.

She Said – We quickly tucked The Cat into her stroller (Yes, we’re those kind of parents). The rain started to pour down, ruining my outfit, and soggying his up rather well. The CMs said that the parade would be delayed, but not for long. On a side note, Disney should establish some parade etiquette guidelines. Do not try to put your kids in front of people who staked out a spot and were patiently waiting. In the rain. He was still getting ice cream when I had to run off some people who wanted to put 4 kids right in front of me and the nice lady beside me. We held our ground and shooed them away. Eventually it stopped raining and just went to lightning. The CMs said they would not bring the horses out where they could get spooked by lightning.

He Said – They did anyway. One of the first horses I saw was literally foaming at the mouth. He was tugging pretty hard on the CM leading him down the street, and I imagined him breaking loose and trampling all over the place. Needless to say, we were happy when the frothy horse left the scene. The rain picked back up around this time, and was pouring now. I felt bad for the performers, but they did a hell of a job. There was a big pirate ship, lots of Disney characters, and a ton of difficult looking choreography.

She Said – I love me some Barbosa. After the parade, we headed over to the teacups. On our way there, The Cat made an adorable remark about how it was okay to be drenched in her Giselle costume because Giselle herself was drenched in her pretty dress in the movie. After the tea cups we headed over to Tomorrowland where The Cat raked in much more loot. We skipped out on seeing Pirate Mickey and instead left to get a good spot for the fireworks show.

We staked out a spot in front of the castle, on the right along the fence. They delayed the fireworks because of the weather. Next to us were some very friendly ducks. Unfortunately for me, I don’t like birds much. Finally the fireworks started about 15 minutes late. They were spectacular, totally worth the price of admission. After that we headed to It’s a Small World.

He Said – That ride was just creepy. Me and The Cat did not want to be on that ride after about 30 seconds. I would be just fine with never, ever hearing that song again. Even now I have nightmares of being brutally murdered by creepy, badly done animatronics.

She Said – The troops were getting grumpy, so we made one last stop at Cinderella’s Carriage. After that we trudged out, completely exhausted.

day3ppp11.jpg

He Said – It took us forever to get home. Technically, we arrived home the next day (around 12:30am). I was sore, hurting in a most uncomfortable manner as some men may understand, and wet. I was stinky too. To make things worse, I had to carry The Cat all the way back to our room. She isn’t tubby by any stretch of the imagination, but I swear she’s made of solid iron. Once we hit the door we discarded our wet outfits, put on dry clothes and crashed. I could have slept for a week after that party.

On the Next Webisode of Mister Pig: Chef Mickey can go to Heck!

OK, ok fine... I will post... I am a notorious lurker.. but here I am.
BAD llama.... oh, now I have guilt!

Ok, I am over it. ;)

I am really, really enjoying your trip report. I love the he said/she said format... one of the most enjoyable trippies I have read.

Cat is adorable, and you guys looked awesome in your pirate and princess costumes. Sorry about the rain, and the impossible-to-procure funnel cakes. I hate how hard it is to get munchies when it is parade and firework time. You would think that the Powers That Be would realize what an incredible selling opportunity it is when you have that many people just crammed together sitting around waiting and open more snack areas!!

Anyhow, back to my lurking now.. have a great evening!

Everytime I hear of the PPP I really wish they would have it all year round! (AKA August so i can go lol) Great chapter as always

Great post and pictures! You guys looked great - although I think "he" should have been wearing a "poofier" pirate shirt! I laughed out loud about your comment on the party wristbands. We went to MVMCP last year, dressed in our finest red & green holiday colors. And they make us wear BRIGHT ORANGE wristbands! WTH? Not Christmas-y at all and totally clashed!

:thumbsup2 for holding your prime viewing for the parade. Honestly, some people think because you're an adult you're not deserving of seeing the parade. People who show up at the last minute and push their kids to the front -

The last picture of Cat in front of Cinderella's carriage is beautiful!

Okay...I have been guilted out of lurker-dom. Great Trip Report. I love the format!

I want a pretty Giselle dress!

I have never had one of those funnel cakes! Thats going on the list.......HE is so nice. My DH would NEVER put on a pirate costume no matter how much I begged. You all look great and so does Jack!!!:lovestruc

LOL at the Bad Llama. We are huge Kuzco fans around here. And yes. Guilt. But He keeps giving me a hard time about writing because he says no one is still reading. He is wrong as always. ;)

TPTB really should have more snack carts. They could take the place of half of those useless light up junk carts! We are mean parents who do not buy those trinkets for The Cat. She just has to suffer along without them.

Thanks for delurking! Hugs

I envisioned He in a Jerry Seinfeld-esqe poofy shirt!!!!

LOVE the pic of you guys in front of the castle!!!

I wish they would offer more special events like this. I know some people hate them but I really enjoyed going, sure it cost money but it was something extra special.

Hey Becca & Matt! Sorry I have been away for a while, we have had a very busy week! We are startng some major renovations on our house and building a deck in the back yard too! Anywho, loved the updates - AWESOME as always! :thumbsup2 You guys are just so naughty for using the resort parking lots! I promise not to tell! I loved your dress - you looked gorgeous! Cat looked adorable too! HE should have had an eyepatch! pirate: Anyway, hope you get some relaxing time to yourself while you are solo parenting this weekend! :)

Honestly I wish He had picked a different pirate outfit, but I guess I am lucky he dressed up at all.

Orange for Christmas? What are those color blind people thinking?! Ruining a perfectly coordinated outfit. Tsk. Tsk.

I can't stand the how adults act at the parades. Honestly adults have just as much right as children to see anything at Disney they choose. They spend just as much (more actually ;) ) We wanted Cat to see the parade so we made her come and sit and wait. I don't believe in teaching my children that it is right to just push and whine until you get what you want. Obviously this isn't a wide shared view.

Welcome! :cheer2: Yeah. Another delurking! Woohoo:cool1:

I so wish they had adult Giselle dresses. Well mostly I wish they had the "That's How You Know" Dress. I am actually thinking about attempting to modify a pattern and make one. That printed fabric though is rather difficult to come by.

-Becca-

Great trip report! I love that you managed to get your husband in a costume!

Well at first he had it in his head that to go to the party you HAD to be dressed up. I have know idea where he got that idea :rolleyes1 He eventually figured out that wasn't the case but by then he had a costume and was slightly jazzed about dressing up.

I envisioned He in a Jerry Seinfeld-esqe poofy shirt!!!!

LOVE the pic of you guys in front of the castle!!!

I love that episode! I wish he had picked a different outfit. I caught him in the middle of a WoW quest and had him choose form a a website. He did a quick glance and picked that one. Shrugs. Oh well.

I love the Photopass people. They rock.

Deck building? Wow you must be busy.

Yeah I know we are bad people for the whole parking lot thing. I was all for taking cabs. He was the one who wouldn't listen.

Thank you. The dress was hot butI loved it. On the eyepatch thing- when meeting Capt' Jack there are all sorts of gold coins and eye patches. He wanted to take one pirate: And I wouldn't let him  Later on we saw ton of people putting them on after meeting Jack. :sad2: He was not a happy camper.

Great update!

Thank You!

-Becca-

Thanks for the fun TR! I would love to do PPP, but I don't think the dates will ever quite work out for us. If they did, I would be dressed up just like the kids!!

I love your fun, fresh take on things! Keep up the great work!

I never miss an episode:surfweb: (like Lost) great update.
