They Call Me MISTER PIG- He Said, She Said (9/1 Lights, Thunder, Fantasmic? Page 47)

Just caught up on you TR. Loving it so far!:thumbsup2

A few thoughts...

1. Why is the line for Peter Pan's Flight so long all the time? This past trip I went on in March it was closed for refurb.

2. I LOVE that Bill Cosby movie!!! I watch it every time it's on T.V. Brain damage!! It's not really "P.C." to say that anymore...but it's the TRUTH!!

3. That pic of your daughter in the ballet pose is beautiful!! No wonder they picked it for the flyer!

4. Love the pigtails on you!!! I thought they looked cute!;)

Hope you are feeling okay and I am waiting patiently for the next installment!

Hey Becca! Hope you are feeling better! Hope crazy Dance Week went well and you all survived! Looking forward to another chapter when you are feeling up to it! :)

I'm so sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. I am loving your trip report, but I guess I will have to accept that your health comes first. :goodvibes

I wanted to say thanks though for all of the details about HDDR - I've considered taking my family sometime, and now I can make a more informed choice. Sounds like fun!
And thanks for the pics of your DD, she is just beautiful. I'm sure you are very proud! ;)

Feel better soon! :thumbsup2

Becca - Hope you're feeling better soon! And thanks for sharing the dance pix - the ballerina shot is gorgeous!

Beautiful Pictures of your daughter!
Feel Better! :flower3:

Ick. Nothing worse than having the flu when you have a baby to take care of. Feel better soon!

The pictures are great, and the last one is, indeed, STUNNING!

Thank you everyone! I am finally feeling more like my old self today! The baby caught the flu too which made the whole thing so much better :sad2: And I also had my dad in from Texas this weekend but its all good. Everyone is feeling better and Cat did an amazing job at Recital.

Becca- (and He) :) I love your TR- it is so entertaining and funny!!

I hope that you feel better asap, must be so hard to take care of the baby when you are sick like that..

I am glad you are enjoying it! HE is currently hiding in his computer room. I think it was one dances too many this weekend.

-Becca-

My DD dances also. That Cat is a beautiful girl. Hope you feel better!

Cool! How old is your dancer and what type does she do? Cat does a bit of everything (ballet, hip hop, jazz, acro, lyrical) Makes for a lot of costume changes! I really love how she LOVES dance. Its wonderful way for them to pour their hearts in souls into something amazing.

hope you're feeling better soon. I always love the pics of Cat. I wish I were so flexible!

You and me both! Its like she has no bones. She does splits all over to "warm up" stretching. It would take me over an hour of warm ups even to attempt a split!

I must admit that up until this point I have just been a "lurker" on your report, :surfweb: but I must post now because I am not so patiently waiting for another update from you guys!!!! :goodvibes My husband and I have really enjoyed reading and can't get over how much the two of you are like us! Anyhoo, just wanted to say hello and come out of my "lurkiness".

Welcome! Totally join in and delurk yourself! People like us? Do you scare people too? LOL. Our sense of humor is a little off the wall so I am glad you both are enjoying it!

Hey Becca! Hope you are feeling better! Hope crazy Dance Week went well and you all survived! Looking forward to another chapter when you are feeling up to it! :)

We all survived! Poor Cat was so tired last night He had to almost carry her to bed. Two recital shows on one day makes for a very long day (even for me- by 9pm I was dance watching-ed out) She did really well and I am enjoying the idea of no more big shows or costume woes until July when she has Nationals.

This was a very good update. I really enjoyed it. The pictures were great.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks so much. I am finally feeling better. The flu is no fun at all. :sad2: But we are all better and now things can get back to normal around here.

HDDR is wonderful. You should try and see if you can book it. We had a blast and highly, highly recommend it.

And yes I am very proud of Cat. I was crying during her ballet at recital. They did a song off the Disney Princess CD called If You Can Dream. I hadn't seen the routine and was worried since they only learned it a month ago (they spend the year working on actual skills in Ballet) but she was perfect and so cute and so big... yup teary eyed again. :cloud9:

Finally feeling better! Sorry the reply took so long ::Mutters about the stupid flu::

1. Peter Pan is a great cute little ride. But to wait 90 mins for a 90 second ride is like waiting 3 hours for a 3 minute ride. It makes no sense.

2. We love Bill Cosby's Himself. We are both rather young and none of our friends will watch it with us... apparently they don't realize that the man is actually funny even if the Cosby show wasn't. We love it and P.C. or not quote it non stop around the house.

3. Thanks! I love it. It was a nice treat for her and she was so shocked to see herself on it.

4. :: Blushes :: Thank you. I love pig tails.

Thanks again!

Sorry for how long this post took. Thanks for being so understanding.

You Can’t Buy This Kind of Magic!

She Said- 6:30 and we get another music only wake up call. I drag myself out of bed and then get He up. We both struggle to wake up Cat. I dress her in a cute Minnie Hawaiian style sundress, and put a bow in her hair, perfect for breakfast at Ohana’s which is where we are going. He decided that there were no more cabs in our future so we drove over to the Poly.

He Said – I waited and waited – I mean The Cat waited and waited for a person to pick up on the morning phone call. Apparently you’re supposed to say “Hello.” We obviously have terrible phone manners, and were never greeted by Mickey or Stitch.

She Said - There were a few families already waiting but we checked in and were given our leis and went to take the required pictures. We were seated within minutes, first stopping by to collect our bread, and listening to the meaning of Ohana (family- for those that don’t know). The meal was served family style with them bringing a large plate of food to your table and then coming around with hot fresh Mickey waffles. Oh and the juice! The juice was called something like Monkey Juice. And it was good, very good, now if only we could find our server for the much needed refills…

He Said – Oh for the love of juice! That lady was not good at delivering the much coveted juice to our table. I also had to order well cooked eggs… which reminds me. I kept hearing and seeing this crap on menus about their food being well cooked, but twice on this trip I had to avoid “well cooked” not-well-cooked mushy eggs. Just an FYI. I didn’t quite fill up to Pumbaa levels here, but I’ll catch up.

She Said - Lilo and Stitch made their rounds followed by Mickey and Pluto. I personally love Lilo; I love when she takes the voodoo spoons of her friends and puts them in pickle juice and says that her friends need to be punished. I wish I could do that to He sometimes.

day3b.jpg

There is the usual parade and our Little Miss Needs Attention is suddenly shy. Like very shy. It takes a lot of coaxing to get her to join in on the fun. It also takes He going to help her for her to find her way back to our table, sense of direction is not her strong suit.

He Said – This isn’t the first time The Cat got lost 10 feet from out table. I’m considering one of those degrading child leash harnesses.

She Said - They come around with the picture package and oh my! Its good. Very Good! I had no intention of buying any picture package but this was too good to pass up. (I actually scanned this photo in, something I haven’t done in years) I even included a close up.

ohana-1.jpg
ohanaclose.jpg

So we decide to bite the bullet and buy it…. But being the big pain I am I want it sent to our hotel. I couldn’t see carrying it all day and it not getting bent or ruined. He gets the bill while I am dealing with the sales lady and puts down his KTTW and then his visa for the tip. I ask the sales lady to charge it to the room (what He should have done with the tip). She finds our server and brings back the green slip for me to fill out and He’s KTTW.

He Said – Honey, where’s my Visa?

She Said - Then we did a terrible very bad thing… And yes we got away with it. We left the car at the Poly and took the monorail over to Magic Kingdom. I know! I know! Bad us! Here is the honest thing; you will not get away with doing that at the Contemporary. They seem to check everything a million times but you can get away with it at the Poly. Maybe because it’s not walking distance or maybe we just got lucky but it went fine. Yes we were evil.

He Said – Perhaps the people were more laid back at the Poly. Muhalo!

She Said - We made it in time for another rope drop! 3 for 3 baby! We decided to go ahead and rent a stroller and do a 3 day length of stay. Yes Cat is old enough to walk but we had a Princess Pirate Party later and I knew she would need the break or the whining would ensue. Whining is every parents Kryptonite, like Mr. Cosby said “Parents don’t care about fair, Parents care about quiet.” Yup, we cared about quiet.

He Said – Our ongoing search for quiet may or may not include Benadryl at certain times in certain doses. Guys, Benadryl also works great on grown women. (slapped again)

She Said - We head straight over to Buzz Lightyear, grab a FP and get in a 5 minute line. That is a really fun attraction, nothing super special just a lot of fun.

He Said – I am a killer shot! I will kill Zurg anytime, anywhere! 299000 points!

day3c.jpg

Next we head over to Fantasyland. We stop by a photopass guy and got this shot:

day3d.jpg

The plan was to ride Dumbo but it had a 45 minute wait already. Man oh man. Not good. Oh well. Ariel had no line to speak of, there was one child in front of Cat. Ariel showed Cat her Dinglehopper and Cat loved her. Her room is all Ariel so this was somewhat predictable. He loved her outfit.

day3e.jpg
day3f.jpg

He Said – Ariel was the real deal. I cannot say more at this time. She’s hovering.

She Said - Dumbo was now up to 50 minutes. Yup. No Dumbo this morning for us. We left the stroller by Ariel’s and headed to Winnie the Pooh. Another 5 minute wait. This is cute. I love Pooh Bear. Next the Tea Cups! The line is small but people are leaving the ride and it takes me another five minutes to realize it is broken. I make a command decision not to wait but to head over to the ToonTown rope drop. He got sent back to fetch the stroller.

It was a little after 9:30 but there was a small crowd. I had heard about the ride with Goofy thing but thought there was no chance. Still it would be a nice quick line to ride Goofy’s Barnstormer. The CM starts talking to one family. And I think they are going to be chosen, turns out they have 12 people in their party. He walks further down the rope. He talks to another little boy by Cat (meanwhile I lean down and whisper to Cat to be very sweet). Said little boy decides to kick the CM! Not kidding! His mother didn’t even flinch. I wanted to smack her. Next he talked to Cat. She puts on a huge smile, tells him it is her first trip and answers his questions about her favorite ride (she says Test Track). He looks up at me and smiles. “Just you two?” I see Matt coming up quickly with the stroller. And tell him it’s the three of us. And then it happens. “Would you like to help us open ToonTown?” My jaw drop, giant smiles, and we all say yes!

The CM leads us under the rope and tells everyone that we are the ToonTown family of the day and that ToonTown will be opening a little early today. And there he is. Goofy. Standing there waiting for us! Cat runs straight to him and he gobbles her up into the biggest hug ever. I have tears in my eyes just thinking about it.

day3g.jpg

The CM parks our stroller, and tells us we will have a chance to pose for pictures later. A photopass guy is out and takes over 40 pictures. Goofy leads Cat thru the cue, going around in circles and playing with her and just being Goofy. She laughs and giggles and is so happy that I am about to burst.

day3h.jpg
day3i.jpg
day3j.jpg

He Said – Goofy was quite happy to hear that I can nearly perfectly imitate his “Gorsh” phrase. Cool points for me!

She Said - The four of us rode together. And even with Goofy beside her Cat does not like this coaster any more than Big Thunder. Still no tears, and she is all grins as we are led into the judges tent. Goofy keeps pointing to one set of doors but the CM tells him not yet. So he leads us through another. There we take a bunch of pictures, while Goofy plays around tickling He and showing Cat where Donald wrote that he was #1. We are joined by Donald and Pluto.

day3k.jpg
day3l.jpg

Cat scolds Donald for writing that he is #1 but he just shrugs. Now Goofy leads us to another room. Princesses! He cuts us (with the help of a speaking CM) to the front of the line. Cat got her picture taken with Aurora, Cinderella, and Belle. She asked all of them questions (to Aurora “Do you like your dress better pink or blue?” and to Belle “What is your favorite book?”) They spent a nice bit of time with her and she loved them.

day3m.jpg
day3n.jpg
day3o.jpg

Meanwhile He had forgotten his Ariel crush and now was smitten with Belle. I didn’t stand a chance.

day3p.jpg

He Said – I had completely forgotten about Ariel and was smitten Belle. I forgot about Alice too! Oh, so many fine Disney ladies. I’m still trying to get She to get some seashell lingerie. Or pauper clothes.

She Said – We decided that because The Cat wouldn’t remember anything past the current day, we would get her something to remember her time with Goofy. We decided to grab a small plush Goofy doll.

He Said – We were off to the magical register with a magical toy to commemorate a magical time. I pulled out my magical wallet to get out my magical Visa… and magically it was gone! The next 30 minutes were filled with not-so-magical commentary and frustration. The CM at the store was very helpful. The CMs at Ohana’s were obviously too laid back to answer the phone. We were advised to head over to City Hall, so we hopped on the next train out.

She Said – I was not going to sit around City Hall with a The Cat. I decided to spend another snack credit in the best way possible! Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich! His luck at City Hall wasn’t so good. No Visa. But He was awesome and snagged another family fastpass! (we managed not to use it somehow…) After a few quick calls home to get our funds transferred, we rode Buzz Lightyear one more time with our previously acquired fastpasses, and also enjoyed The Monsters Inc. Comedy Show. By this point, we were pooped needed to get a nap for the much anticipated Princess Pirate Party. We rode a launch back to the Poly and drove back to our hotel. Everyone crashed, even He got a nap.

On the next webisode of Mister Pig, “My Pantaloons Are Soggy!”

OH NO!:scared1: The Visa is gone??? I hope you find it!!

My dancer is 7 and she does Ballet only. She goes to a classical ballet school here in town.

This TR is making me so excited for my trip next month!

Ok - so how does Ohana NOT have your Visa card? WTH?

Great installment - so cool about opening ToonTown!:thumbsup2 The pictures were great!

I'm laughing about hubby's "admiration" of the princesses! Did he ever get to meet Jasmine on this trip? She always seems to be the Dads' favorites!

Yup Visa got lost... Later in the report you can read about all the trouble it caused and how Ohana screwed up quiet a few things.

Ballet. I wish my daughter was really into ballet. She has to take it to be on Company but she doesn't love it by any stretch which is too bad because she has such clean lines and a real talent for it. I am insanely jealous that your daughter is at a real ballet school.

Ohana was not good a dealing with any sort of lost anything... we found that out later. They were also bad about juice refills but I guess if things hadn't gone the way they had we wouldn't have had our magical moment.

It was so cool watching Cat just play and play with Goofy. It felt like a commercial

Yeah he met Jasmine. Really I don't think us wives stand a chance. :sad2:

Well, that's fine for them, then!:snooty: Because actually, I don't think my DH(now ex) would have stood a chance around Capt. Jack or Tarzan!

Mmmmmmmmmm. Captain Jack. Oh but he was a cutie! Oops. Totally giving away stuff about the PPP. ;)

I'm so glad you're back!!! :cool1: The new update is fabulous! I can't believe Cat got to open Toontown - how magical! pixiedust: That's a little more than disturbing about Ohana with your VISA and "the juice" though - not a hassle you want to have to deal with when you're at WDW. :confused3 Anyhoo, love love love the update - I'm hanging on for more . . . popcorn::

The Toontown thing was so amazing. Ohanas wasn't bad per say but the service we had was terrible.

Thank you for making my day so much better. I have had a bad morning and reading your post about opening ToonTown really changed my attitude. Your pictures brought tears to my eyes.
