Yes, I am fine thank you. As for "gearing up" for the "big one" as they keep on saying, of course, you always have to be ready anytime - unlike a tornado, hurricane, typhoon, etc...you can never predict when it can happen. That is what makes earthquakes so frightening.

Shakin' Seacrest
:scared1: :cool1: :scared1:

Another quake... Sea I am so glad you are ok.
Moving and shaking freeways would completely freak me out!!!!

 Don't worry too much Trix. I found the gems, but not the specific ones that you asked for. We did our best - and got 5 of them, but they are pretty much totally different then what you wanted. :guilty: Seriously, we were crouched over those bins for almost an hour. TWICE! It was crazy. We went at the beginning of the week and didn't see that many options, so we left and went back later in the week thinking maybe that it would be stocked -but NOPE. Bob made the comment that he was a grown-@** man on a scavenger hunt for princess jewels. :lmao: He was just kidding though. He's a trooper. :lovestruc

Oh my word...I don't know what to say except that I'm sorry! It wasn't supposed to be hard. Oh goodness, I never would have asked you if I knew it was going to be so difficult! :flower3:

Would it make DH feel better if he got to keep one of the jewels? :rotfl2:

Trix, RF - I am dying to know what princess jewels are. . . :confused3

IMG_5397.jpg

DD7 bought this crown while we were there and lost one of the little plastic jewels (they just snap on). So I figured we should get some backups seeing as the thing cost like $82.94. It wasn't that much, but she was bummed when the jewel disappeared.

RF...

You are SAFE!!!

Seacrest :lmao::cool1:

:rotfl2:

I think the MAYers MAY watch too much reality TV!

NEVER!!!

We just had another earthquake...I was driving on the freeway and it started to sway back and forth. Very, very weird! It was 4.1 and the same location as Sunday's quake.

I'm so glad everything is okay, Sea.

Lake-- I'm hoping you're able to sleep tonight! If you get the house... the bad 'Naners have been working on a special presentation for you... so get ready.:rotfl:

Hey Shaky...er, I mean, SEA... how'd you drive on a moving freeway?:lmao::lmao:

So... Idol??? Anyone??????????
We voted a hundred times at least. My cell, MCat's cell and Home phone.:)

Well, I officially can't live with my parents anymore.

After a week of blissful alone time, Bob and I have decided that we need to get out of that house ASAP. We can't take the fighting, drinking and disrespect that we get there. I'm done with it. I don't care about 'getting ahead' anymore. I'll just have to work my way up like everyone else in the world.

We are hopefully going to look at a house tonight that we really like. It's in a great location and although it's a 1/2 duplex and that's exactly what I was looking for - we both know that this isn't going to be our 'forever' house.

I need some serious Pixie Dust.... :sad2:

MAYbe this month will be lucky for us too. :wizard:

 Glad you got home safe and sound, definitely wish I would have had some more time with y'all.

Good luck with finding a new living situation. It is the month of the MAYers, so ANYTHING is possible :)

We just made the offer.
The sellers have to let us know tomorrow by 9 pm.
So stay tuned. :)

Good luck Lake!!

Earthquakes are the one natural disaster type thing that scare me, especially since they're so unpredictable. Glad you're doing ok!

Jo

WOOHOO!!! Way to go Mark! And yay for a trip to Maui for Jo! :)

In mouse-related news.....Our unseasonably warm weather of last week has led to the monsoon-like weather of this week. We've had considerable rain the last 3 days straight for the most part. It's been a lot of fun for me, cause I love working outside when its raining. I'm like a 3-year old stomping around in puddles :) I just want it to stop on my day off, Thursday so we can go to one of the water parks.

Here's a pic from tonight, when I first walked in the door to my apartment after work. I'm half in costume. It's hard to tell, but I was literally dripping water from head to toe. Thank goodness for rain gear and my Keens

Jo -

Congratulations to Mark on winning the trip to Maui! Aloha! What a beautiful way to start your summer!

About earthquake driving: It feels like your car is driving on Jello. Thankfully, I wasn't going fast and there was a bit of traffic, so we were driving pretty slow and everyone was staying in their lane.

Lake-- I'm hoping you're able to sleep tonight! If you get the house... the bad 'Naners have been working on a special presentation for you... so get ready.:rotfl:

I thought you had been getting a lot of rain. Of course I look at your forecast everyday. :rotfl: But you just never know if the rain is accurate or not because they call for it nearly everyday down there! Hope things dry up for your day off! :goodvibes Great picture!

Thanks Sulley! And I'm glad I got out of there just in time! Although after I stopped being crabby about the rain - splashing in puddles was half the fun!

I didn't see it - but I heard about it while we were there.

I saw the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It! for the 1st time while we were there and that was super fun!!!! I got really good pictures at that. :yay:

I'll start a TR soon. I've been crazy busy at work ever since I got back so hopefully I'll be able to get on the computer at home sometime soon. :goodvibes

Mornin MAYers!:surfweb:

Sea's driving on jello,
Sulley's pretending to be Noah,
Shelly's sunning herself,
Lake's awaiting her Bad 'Naner jig,
Not sure where NC is- but she's probably working out, 'cause she's faithful like that-
Trixie's practicing her Princess Wave,
Mari's probably shopping... Hi Mari!
RF's making everyone wait with bated breath for her trip report... why let a little thing like work get in your way, RF???

And I'm practicing my hula lessons....

:rotfl:

It's a beautiful day in MAYerLand!!!!

jo

I love MAYerland!!!!
:)

Packed some boxes, now waiting for Emmy to get home... then I'm going shopping ( well more browsing actually) to see what 4 barstools will cost me for the breakfast island in our soon to be home ( fingers crossed).

I have a little bit of bragging to do if you all don't mind! I know you don't, you are the best friends ever! :snooty::grouphug:

We got a letter in the mail yesterday from the school saying that DS10 is the 2008/2009 Principal's Award winner from his class. He will receive an award at the school's Award Ceremony next Thursday. Criteria for the award is - working hard, trying his best, being a friend, being respectful, responsible, and safe. It says - your child is being recognized for demonstrating at school the work ethics and manners you have instilled in him at home. I am so proud of him! It is a surprise, so he knows nothing about it. They sent the letter to us so we would be able to plan to come to the Awards Ceremony that morning. That was the one thing I wasn't planning on attending over the next few weeks! He is in 4th grade and the awards ceremony mostly consists of awards for 5th and 6th graders. I'm glad they sent it! He is going to be so surprised, I definitely want to be there to see his reaction! :goodvibes

I wish I could be there to see his reaction!!! He will be overjoyed! You're going to take pictures, right? Will DH be able to go too?

Good for him, and good for you and DH! You're such good parents and you have so much to be proud of. Congratulations all around! :grouphug:
