Congrats! That is so awesome! I know you are beaming! :goodvibes

Congrats.:thumbsup2.that is as much of a reward for you as it is for him.
Good Job!

Shelly -Congratulations to you and your son. What a great achievement!

I wish I could be there to see his reaction!!! He will be overjoyed! You're going to take pictures, right? Will DH be able to go too?

Good for him, and good for you and DH! You're such good parents and you have so much to be proud of. Congratulations all around! :grouphug:

Thanks MAYers! :grouphug:

He is going to be so excited! :yay: I will be taking pictures for sure! :thumbsup2 I doubt DH will be able to go. I'm sure he could get off work with things being so slow, but with a pending lay-off in the near future it's probably not a good idea to take any time off.

Shelly---
Well, of course he's being recognized as a great kid! He's the offspring of a MAYer, after all! :cutie:

You guys are raising him right.:cloud9: yay and congratulations to all of you!

Jo

What a beautiful evening. DS7 and I just got back from a walk. Well he rode his bike and I walked. 82 and sunny! :goodvibes Perfect! Reminds me of a Florida day in January!

I am so excited about American Idol tonight! Isn't that silly?

:lmao:

OUR JOURNEY BEGINS!

We woke up for the airport, got showered, dressed and were on the road by about 7:30 for our 10:50 flight. Traffic on the way there was terrible! We sat on Route 28 for about 45 minutes, but still made it to the airport about 8:30 with plenty of time to spare. We made it thru security in no time, so we decided to visit the Crocs store to see if there was any that I couldn’t possibly live without. But, sadly found out that I already had most of them.. Bob started to get little hungry, but I really wanted to save room to use some of our meal credits in WDW, so we each got something small at Au Bon Pain. A green tea and a corn muffin for me and a mocha latte and cinnamon bun for Bob.

After breakfast we went back to the gate and realized that our flight was delayed 30 minutes, so we watched Modern Marvels: Walt Disney World on our portable DVD player :goodvibes and on the plane we watched The Little Mermaid.

We landed at MCO safe and sound, but maybe a little queasy because of the major turbulence in our landing . And at about 1:30 after grabbing our luggage and a little confusion with our rental car – We were off to POP!

IMG_0517.jpg

We did the check in ahead of time and because of that, the check in was a breeze. :cool1: The cast member actually said that we were the 1st people in the “Online Check-In” line that had actually done it right and checked in online. We headed up to our room, found out that we only had 1 King size bed, rolled our eyes at each other and decided that it would have to be OK that were sleeping in the same bed for the week.

We headed back down to the Classic Building and grabbed the toiletries that we had shipped down and grabbed a bite at the food court. I had an Asian Salad and Bob had a Reuben flatbread. Very good! We liked this food court choices much better than we liked POR last year.

After lunch we spent some time checking out the resort, unpacking, and watched some Stacey and the Must Do Disney :yay: and later on headed to Jiko for dinner. (P.S. – having a car at WDW ROCKS!! Life is so much easier)

(Writing it all down, it seems like we were already eating A LOT, but this day wasn’t sooo bad. LOL)

Jiko was a-w-e-s-o-m-e Definitely a MUST DO. I don’t want to bore you guys with the crazy dining details, and I may do a Dining Report – so we’ll skip ahead.

We spent some time wandering around at the AKL, and it is beautiful! I loved the pool and the lobby was fantastic. I was taking some pictures when we get a phone call from my cousin Mike telling us that the Penguins are only in the 2nd period and that the game is tied 2-2. Obviously, we have to go to ESPN zone tonight and check it out for ourselves. :woohoo:

(Did I mention that having a car is AWESOME!)

IMG_0543.jpg

After the game was over and the Pens beat the Caps  we took some pictures and saw an entertainer on the Boardwalk. Then we headed home, wrote in our travel journal and went to sleep to get ready for AK in the morning!

RF/Sulley - have either of you seen the new show at MK - Stitch's Supersonic Celebration??? :stitch:

I haven't.....been past the theater multiple times while it was in construction, but haven't been since they finished. I really haven't even heard much about it.

I didn't see it - but I heard about it while we were there.

I saw the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It! for the 1st time while we were there and that was super fun!!!! I got really good pictures at that. :yay:

I'll start a TR soon. I've been crazy busy at work ever since I got back so hopefully I'll be able to get on the computer at home sometime soon. :goodvibes

Yay for the TR! Thanks for starting it RF! :)

I absolutely love Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It! I actually like it better than the re-vamped day parade.

Mornin MAYers!:surfweb:

Sea's driving on jello,
Sulley's pretending to be Noah,
Shelly's sunning herself,
Lake's awaiting her Bad 'Naner jig,
Not sure where NC is- but she's probably working out, 'cause she's faithful like that-
Trixie's practicing her Princess Wave,
Mari's probably shopping... Hi Mari!
RF's making everyone wait with bated breath for her trip report... why let a little thing like work get in your way, RF???

And I'm practicing my hula lessons....

:rotfl:

It's a beautiful day in MAYerLand!!!!

Hey Jo!
If only I had an arc, I might fare better. Apparently we got 12-inches of rain yesterday, and at least another 9 today. This is craziness!

I have a little bit of bragging to do if you all don't mind! I know you don't, you are the best friends ever! :snooty::grouphug:

We got a letter in the mail yesterday from the school saying that DS10 is the 2008/2009 Principal's Award winner from his class. He will receive an award at the school's Award Ceremony next Thursday. Criteria for the award is - working hard, trying his best, being a friend, being respectful, responsible, and safe. It says - your child is being recognized for demonstrating at school the work ethics and manners you have instilled in him at home. I am so proud of him! It is a surprise, so he knows nothing about it. They sent the letter to us so we would be able to plan to come to the Awards Ceremony that morning. That was the one thing I wasn't planning on attending over the next few weeks! He is in 4th grade and the awards ceremony mostly consists of awards for 5th and 6th graders. I'm glad they sent it! He is going to be so surprised, I definitely want to be there to see his reaction! :goodvibes

CONGRATS!!!! That is an awesome accomplishment for your DS :) :woohoo:

RF~your teeth are SO WHITE! Whatever you did totally worked! :woohoo:

Great TR...I want more, more, MORE!

Morning...we received our counter offer late last night.
So we will go over the details today with our agent.

They are willing to leave appliances and furniture, in order to get more $$.
It might actually work out in my favour. Would save me from buying a few things later, and get them all at a lesser cost. A brand new riding lawnmower, a large plasma tv, and entertainment unit ( which is beautiful and big)...and the really nice kitchen bar stools are apparently on the list. ( I guess thet can't fit them in the new condo???)

Lots to think about today.

Hi Mayers :goodvibes:!

Shelly - Congrats to your son on his award! :thumbsup2

RF - Love the Penguin shirts in the trip report!

Good morning MAYers! Another beautiful day here! :goodvibes:cool1: I can't believe it! I told the kids at the bus stop that this reminds me of a nice Disney morning at the Disney bus stop. To that DS10 replied - yeah, but Frank (bus driver) isn't driving a magical bus!

I haven't.....been past the theater multiple times while it was in construction, but haven't been since they finished. I really haven't even heard much about it.

We were past it too in January. I guess it opened this week. Just wondered if it is any good and worth the time. Let me know if you ever get a chance to check it out! :goodvibes

Great start to your TR RF. :cool1: Love it! Can't wait for more!!

Lake - well that stinks that they counter-offered you. But hey maybe you can get some cool stuff out of the deal! Hope it all works out for you! :wizard:

Good Morning!

Today is the next to last day of school for us! My DS is sick, but at school. I am sure I will be picking him up in a few minutes after he finishes his last final. Tonight is the BIG 8th grade celebration party which I have paid $60 for us to go to. I am not sure if Chris will feel up to going. :sad2: Tomorrow is the award ceremony and end of school program for both of my kids. I hope we can make it!

Just 26 and 1/2 more hours!

YAY for school being out!!! My kids have a few more weeks! They are done on June 5th and will not go back until after Labor Day! :cool1:

Hope Chris feels better fast!:wizard:

Hello Mayers!

NC - Congratulations on school being almost over. Is everyone excited out there about Kris Allen winning last night? If figured he would win after Danny leaving last week, those DG voters probably gave him the advantage to clench the title.

RF - Great start on the TR! More please!

Lake - See if you can get a home warranty on those items they want to include in the purchase. Hope your negotiations go well.

CK - Welcome back!

Shelly - Rain this weekend??? It didn't come from us!

Sea
