Hey Mayers!!! Just spent some time catching back up :)

Hey all... Just caught up with the DIS boy have you guys been busy....

RF - YAY secretly i'm sssooooooo jealous.... but i wish you have a great vacation...

Shelly - GREAT pics.....

Jo , Sea, Lake, NC, i missed you guys....

life has been so crazy... remember when i went to guatemala for my DGrandma 90th bday party and my cousin was killed and his sister was kidnapped... well she wasn't handling as good as we all thought. She tried to take her life about 3 weeks ago THANK GOD my uncle got to her right away and she was rushed to hospital.. she is now in a mental hospital so we'll see how that goes. Then my DH and Marissa's godfather had a falling out. HUGE... i mean they were ready to fight huge... i've been trying to play mediator with that situation but i have been getting NO WHERE... so i'll just let them sort it out amongst themselves.... catching my breath.... then one of my cousins caught her husband in bed with another woman in their own apartment, she basically tried to kill him i mean literally the cops were called and everything. thank god she never caught up to him to actually stab him so no charges were filed. she basically had to leave their house so she was here with us for a couple of days with her 2 BAD kids.... i'm telling you they were here for 3 days and they broke so many of Marissa's toys but i just left it alone my cousin is going through enough.... i'm telling you my life is so full of DRAMA..... so that is it.....

I'm stressed out just thinking about it again..... sheesh..... how i need a VACATION... i'm telling if i had not canceled out my Dis trip i probably would have gone now....but what can we do i'll wait til next may.....

Hey Mari! :wave2:  Sounds like you've got a lot going on. Glad to see ya back here with the rest of us.

Jo my dear friend..make that call and give yourself some piece of mind.
Trust me!!!!!!!

I myself just got home from the doctor. I had tests done two weeks ago, and he called yesterday saying he wanted to see me. :headache:
Well it turns out that they found something:eek:..but not sure how serious that something is... he doesn't want to use the C word just yet. So over the next three months I have several appointments now booked for further testing and discussion. I have decided to tell my brain...no panicing and to go on as usual... plan our fun summer, and weekends at the cottage, and just go forward as usual. Afterall I have already taken all the steps I need to to start taking care of the matter... you know me... always trying to keep that cup half full.

So I'll keep you all posted on it.

As far as next May goes, we won't know either what exact dates we will be going until after Christmas at earliest so there is still hope we will all get to meet.

Lake :grouphug:
Good luck with all of your tests....There was a lot of the C word being bandied about with my dad's health issues, but once they got in, did all the tests, and removed what they needed to remove, they found out it wasn't. Thank goodness! Hopefully everything turns out the same way for you!

Morning MAYers!:snooty:

Today I have to make the phone call I keep putting off and shouldn't. I've got to call and make an appt with my Dr.
I found a lump in my breast.

**Sigh.** I get them frequently---- I've been getting mammo's for a few years now, due to my Mom's Breast cancer. The first time she was dx, she was 34 years old. So-- off to make that call. Yuck.

Then I'm going to go buy more stuff for the deck.:rolleyes1

My Mom taught me that whenever you have to do something really revolting that you don't want to do, afterwards, you always, always--- have some retail therapy and then lunch at a swank restaurant to be good to yourself.
Of course, she'd never call it lunch-- the meal in the middle ofthte day is referred to as dinner- and at night, that meal is supp'ah. Said just like that too.
Such a cute Southern lady she is. :)

Okay everyone.
Hugs all around.

Have a good day.

Jo

I'm back.

Thanks for all the hugs.

I started hyperventilating a bit right as I was leaving the house. It's so scary-- espeically with my Mom's history of cancer twice.

Anyway- had to wait for the Dr-- she was called out to an emergency C-section of twins... and then, while she was there, another Mom went into labor- a super quick one, obviously- b/c she had to stay to see to her.

Anyway- the Dr said she didn't feel a distinct lump-- more of a thickening of tissue- said there might be a cyst up under there--and is sending me for a Mammorgram and US next week. She said the good news is that it's tender- b/c CA *usually* is not painful. Plus- my Mammo I had last year was normal. And she said the way it came up rather suddenly makes her feel better about it.

So! That said--
I appreciate all the thoughts and hugs and well wishes, and , well...

I just appreciate all of you.

Now- someone please lighten the mood and ask a Disney QOTD. My brain is fried, I need some PD. :wizard:

Jo

Jo :grouphug:
Good for you making that appointment! And yay for the doctor being so positive about what's going on.

Lake - When we ate outside at the CS, we both had the crispy honey chicken and it was very tasty. That would be my recommendation! :thumbsup2

I think I am most excited for Jiko this trip!

What's everyones FAVORITE place to eat? And the one that you are looking most forward to trying.... popcorn::

I need something to help me pass these next few days@!!! I started tanning, next week I am getting my hair done and tonight we are going to get some last minute stuff (new jewlery for me and 2 new pens t-shirts for the playoffs :thumbsup2

Favorite Place? Hmmmmm.....I'm gonna have to go with Kona Cafe for dinner. They have an amazing menu. I enjoyed everything both times I've been. And their banana creme brule is amazing!! Plus you can go watch Wishes on the beach after dinner which is pretty awesome!

SING ALONG WITH ME NOW...

Oh I wish I were a super-duper MAYer,
That is what I'd truly like to be...
'Cause if I were a Super Duper MAYer,
Everyone would be in love with ME."

:snooty:Happy MAY, MAYers!:snooty:

Yay! We have a theme song now!

bound and determined that this is the weekend i'm going to sell my house!:thumbsup2

Good luck Lake!

It's been a crazy busy week around here once again (It always is it seems :) )...I've been working six days a week for the past month and think it's finally caught up to me.

Last Sunday was my roommate's birthday so we went to DHS to play and have dinner at 50s Prime Time. Dinner was awesome! I had never been there before and really enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food. I spent most of the time playing being the designated bag holder. I don't ride ToT, and while I'll ride R'n'R Coaster, I just wasn't in the mood to that day. We did do GMR and Star Tours which are a couple of my favs over there We were also celebrating one of our friend's marriage, and we got to meet his new wife for the first time (she's Brazilian, hadn't been in the states for the last 2 years or so)

On Tuesday, I went out with some friends for some "big girl" fun :) :woohoo: We went to Jellyrolls and had a few, :) :drinking1 sang a bit, danced some interesting dances, and joined the Conga line :dance3:. It was the first time I had been, and I'll definitely go back. Plus it gave me an excuse to wear shoes other than work shoes, crocs, or flipflops....In the 18 months I've known my friends, it was the first time they'd seen me in heels :)

The rest of the week was mostly spent working and sleeping...I've been sick on and off since the beginning of March  and I still tend to get worn out easy, so lots of naps. Today I did go to Typhoon Lagoon after I was off from work. First time I'd been there. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone! The wave pool is amazing, they've got some fun slides, and you can lay in the lazy river if nothing else :) I didn't do a lot of the slides, but plan on going back before the end of the month when our free admission for CMs is done.

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend!!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I am glad you liked 50's. We had an awesome time there this year. Our waiter was great! It is one of my kids favorite places.

I would LOVE to go to Jelly Rolls. Maybe one day....

Thanks for catching up with us!!!

Dh and I went to Wendy's and then to Coldwater Creek to buy his mom her Mother's Day and Birthday gifts tonight. I think we took the boat because of all the rain!

:boat:

Good Morning..
It's sunday and were still early risers...but I have a few last minute things to do before the open house at 1.

Sulley - so great to see you. We love Typhoon Lagoon too...but we like waterparks in general.

RF- A very happy 1st anniversary!!!

NC- you are not alone is the crazy SIL category... don't get me started about needy, self absorbed takers who suck the life right out of you....

Mari - I hope everything is getting easier for you.

Jo - try and stay dry and I'm sending some wishes of sun for you.

Trixie, Shelly, Sea..... hope you are having great weekends.

Other than finishing up the house today fro the showing, I guess the only other news here is that Jason and I went out with friends last night for dinner and a movie. We saw Wolverine... it was great. I would recommend it.
Especailly if you liked X-Men.

Good morning MAYers! :goodvibes

Morning!!!! Thanks Shelly!!! :goodvibes Well, we ate part of our cake... It was sufficently nasty. Ugh - I swear it was sour if that's possible. The icing tasted like sour tin foil.

Going to a baby shower today. Fun, fun, fun. I'm going to try to skip out early because Bob and I are thinking about going out to eat tonight to Ichiban. It's kinda like Benihana, where they cook on the tables for you. :woohoo:

http://www.ichibanhibachisteakhouse.com/

AND!!!!! 1 week from today I will be at the MK!!! Having breakfast at Chef Mickey's, Dinner at California Grill and going to EMH until MIDNIGHT! :woohoo: I know it's going to be crazy busy - but we've never seen MK at night and are excited to see it!

Have a great day MAYers!

Oh, we must be related! Because this phrase "needy, self absorbed takers who suck the life right out of you" exactly describes my SIL...

Good luck with the open house!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

So my question of the day is...

What are you getting for your mother and or mother in law for mother's day.
I'm completely stuck this year..and I'm usually really good about these things. I have my mom, Jason's mom , and then a card for his step mom to get.

I may be heading to the mall today it seems.

Ours are both getting clothing from Coldwater Creek. They both have love things from there. When my mom was here for grandparents day, I took her into the store and she picked some things out. DH's mom doesn't walk very well, so she doesn't like to shop anymore. One nice thing about Coldwater Creek, if your mom or MIL have bought clothing from them, they can look up their size for you on their computer. Very helpful!

Well, off to take the kids to school and to hit the gym.

:yay:

Morning :goodvibes

Ugh. Monday already. This weekend went by sooo fast. We didn't go to Ichiban for our dinner, we decided on P.F. Changs instead. :thumbsup2 It's my favorite restaurant besides Lidia's - and I wasn't in the mood for Italian. So we did that and then came home and watched National Treasure 2

 Very Romantic!

AND!!!! - 1 week from today I will be at Epcot for my birthday, drinking my way around the World Showcase, :goodvibes eating sushi for lunch and going to Yachtsman for dinner. :goodvibes

Is there any drinks that you guys suggest from WS - or anywhere?? I have a list :lmao:

I know that I want to try a Grey Goose Lemon Slush from France, (I had the grand marnier last time) Rosa Regalia from Italy, Plum Wine from Japan, German Ice Wine, Margaritas in Mexico, a Lapu Lapu from O'hana and a "Magical Star Cocktail" from any of the signature places.

Magical Star Cocktail - Light up your celebration with X-Fusion Organic Mango and Passion Fruit Liqueur, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Pineapple Juice, and a souvenier multicolored glow cube $9.75

Not all at once of course. :teeth:

Morning!

RF-- happy late anniversary! I think movies are very romantic.... :goodvibes What did you get a PF Changs? I have been twice but didn't like what I had. I think Lydia's is the place I went to with Mark once-- does it have outside seating? I thought it was very good.
Where is that?

Lake- how was the open house yesterday and how do you feel?

I am the proud new owner of a Toshiba laptop--- now if I could get used to typing on one.

Morning Jo!

I had the Mongolian Beef. It's my favorite! I either get that or the Orange Peel Beef everytime I go.

Lidia's is in the strip district here's the link for it. http://www.lidias-pittsburgh.com/#

I get the 'pasta tasting trio' everytime. They have 2 homemade pastas and 1 non homemade and they are different everytime. One time I had a pear and goatcheese ravioli that was to die for! So, they are always really unique and delish!

Morning all...

RF - HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY.......

Well for my mom I got her a custom photobook from Snapfish of our Family trip to FLorida... My MIL... well I'll probably get her a shirt or something. I don't know yet.... I'll have Marissa make a Card for both of them... that reminds me I have to go the art's and crafts store to pick up more paper....

Tonight Me and My DH are going on a triple date.... maybe quadruple... it's my sisters thier significant others and myself.... We are going to this Hibachi place called Kiku... everytime I go there I remember Epcot because of the Tepanyaki place we ate at.

RF - The greygoose slushie thing is GREAT...... I'm so jealous that you'll be there in just a couple of days.... The weather looks Great for your trip although our Shelly would HATE it... upper 80"s low 90"s....

I am the proud new owner of a Toshiba laptop--- now if I could get used to typing on one.

Congrats JO! :cool1:How do you like it? It took me a good month to get used to typing on mine. Now I just love it and wonder how I ever lived without it!
