Morning! :cool1:

So, I was up until almost 1 am - missed the gym... but my TR is up! LOL. I know what's important in life. :goodvibes

So, I caved and finally joined facebook. I 'friended' all of you guys that I knew have a facebook - but I'm not sure if I got everyone. :thumbsup2

I got my friend request! Thank you! It made me feel loved! :lovestruc So here is some love right back at ya sista!

Can you put a link to your TR is your signature for me? I really need it. :sad2: I have such a hard time finding things on the DIS. :sad2: I am sure I need to be in the DIS Hall of Shame or something.

Good Morning

Sorry I have been MIA..busy week since returning from the cottage. Unpacking, laundry, groceries, registering for fall gymnastics, soccer, dance and swimming, and of course making up my school supplies lists ect...

Yesterday the kids and I went to their new school, had a tour, received the calendar and even met Emmy's teacher. I could tell Ethan felt better after seeing his classroom and the layout for the school. The first day will go better for all of us now. Mom won't be so worried. ;)
Emmy doesn't start senior kindergarten until sept. 14th, the do a staggered entry for kindergarten. At our school before she went everyday in the morning only. At this school she'll go all day every M, W and alternating Fri. It will be strange to get used to but everyone says we will love it. We'll see. I'll miss her but at the same time still will have lots of time to spend with her. Emmy's teacher is young and energetic and I have a feeling I'll love her. I'll meet Ethan's teacher on the first day I guess.

Tonight I am having over all the girls in our movie group for a little potluck party. We are all excited, and its the first big thing I am hosting at our new house.

Sunday we have more friends coming for dinner.

Monday, I am going to Great Lakes Crossing in Michigan to finish my Back to school shopping, now that my list is made. And of course Target.

Busy few days!!!!
But honestly it keeps me out of trouble. :rotfl:

Sounds like fun!

WOW it's still dead in here. Where is everyone?

So I pulled out a few suitcases for our weekend excursion and guess what?
THEY SMELL LIKE DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As DH and I stood in the driveway tonight staring at the house I told him that JO voted for either green or brown shutters and NC & KB voted green! He just laughed! :rotfl: Anyone else have a vote?!

Is the siding cream or a buttery yellow? I might change my vote depending on that. :rolleyes1

Hey guys- just a quick jump in to say I'm here but rushing out the door.

I get the Bad Mommy award today.
I sent Belle to school in flip flops. It's a gym day. ugh. I'm awful- so on the way to take the tennis shoes to her.

Shelly- have fun in Hershey! You guys must be in vacation mode! Y'all are living on the edge... doin' vacation the JoBird way.
Look Ma, No plans!:goodvibes Have a great, 'sweet' time!:cloud9:

RF- I'll pop into your TR when I return. Looking forward to it.:goodvibes

Mari- congrats on school. The world can always use another nurse.

Okay- gotta rush out the door.

I'll be back. Hey to all MAYers everywhere. You know who you are.:snooty:

Jo

Well...

There is a thread on the DIS community board, where you can sign up and state that you are a terrible parent. You just may need to look into that.

:sad2:

Mornin' Jo.

You are not a bad mama! The school routine is just hard getting back to.
When I was busy with the packing to move in June I forgot to send the kids books in on library day, completely didn't realise what day of the week it was..Emmy was so mad at me! :lmao: See...it happens to everyone.:goodvibes

You too missy! Sign onto the terrible parent thread. :sad2:

Here are my terrible parent confessions for the current school year:

Chloe went to school on PE day in flip flops. I didn't realize so she played volley ball barefoot.

I yelled at Chris one morning.

Chloe has went to school without a lunch... Twice. :scared1:

I didn't buy a couple school supplies one night on THE VERY NIGHT we got the note that we needed TWO MORE THINGS! I bought them the next day. (This was after 2 nights of rushing out to buy ONE more thing!

I haven't sent a single fruit or vegatable in either of my kids lunches.

I was late to Chris's football game.

I was late to pick him up from football practice because I was busy driving from Chloe's drum lesson to the football field.

The shirt Chris wanted to wear one day wasn't clean.

I am sure there are more infractions and if my kids were here they could tell you every one of them.

There, I think I win!

But as Chloe once said, "You can't be the worst mother...."

as in surely there is one somewhere that is worse that you.

 Well, I'm not exactly sure. I think it is cream. When the pizza guy was lost on our street and called me and I told him which house was ours he said - oh, the yellow one on the corner? :confused3:rotfl:

Well, crud Shelly, that is of no help to me at all.

I guess I will stay with my vote for green.

You can tell your DH tonight!

:lmao:

Hello MAYers!

It's a rainy cool day here. We haven't seen an all day rain in awhile but I think we are going to today. :sad2: And it looks like we will be driving to Hershey in the rain for 4 hours tomorrow morning. But it is supposed to clear up by afternoon. We aren't going to the park anyway. Not enough time.

Trix - where did you guys decide to go this weekend?

Shelly...I haven't put my vote in yet. But I like the green as well.
Since you have the space and land..it gives it more of a country feel I think.

But If you hate the country look...completely ignore my previous comment.:rotfl2:

BTW- Its pouring rain here too.
My mother in law just said that Spring Showers bring May flowers...she's insisting Summer hasn't arrived yet.:rotfl:

I updated my signature NC. :goodvibes Thanks for the love!

Shelly - That may change my decision then.... If it is yellow-y, then I vote green.

If it is beige or cream... I vote chocolate brown.

Tough call... Wait? Did you find out if you can paint them - or are you just going to buy them?

Did I miss that somewhere? :flower3:

P.S. - None of you guys are 'bad mom's' I think that you all seem like FANTASTIC mom's.

Give yourselves some credit. :grouphug:

Thanks for all the votes! Even though I am still torn! :rotfl:

We haven't decided if we will paint them or buy new. I guess it depends on what color we go with. . . None of the back or side windows have shutters. So that's what started this while thing. We want to add them there, so DH said that if I want to change the color that would be the time to do it. But at this point we probably won't get to it until spring. So I will probably be asking you guys again then! Oh, and I really think the siding is cream! There is a house across the street that it light yellow, and I would swear that ours is lighter than it. . .

While we are on the bad mom subject - one day towards the end of the last school year I forgot to put DS10's library books in his backpack. Keep in mind this was one time the entire year. He came home and informed me that I had forgotten his library books and that he did not want to be one of those kids who forgets their books every week! :lmao:

To that I reminded him that it was pretty pathetic that I was the one responsible for his library books!

Hi Mayers from smokey SoCal.

We have fires to the east of us, La Canada Flintridge and to the south Rancho Palos Verdes. They are each about 30 miles away from us, but the wind blows the smoke all over the place.

And it is hot here too - high 90's. YUCK!

http://cbs2.com/local/Fire.Watch.Angeles.2.1148796.html

Tomorrow, we are having my MIL's memorial service at the church. Been really busy putting together slide show and memorial folder. I also setup a blog this week so that our relatives in Germany can see photos and slide show video since they can't make it to the service. Today, we are getting the food and flowers ready for tomorrow - lots of work - but we got it done!

Forgive me for smiling when I saw that one of them was La CANADA Flintridge.. :rotfl:

So happy to hear you were able to get everything ready in time for the service. I'm sure it will be incredibly beautiful. I hope that once the memorial service is over you can sit back relax and let all the happy memories ease some of the stress and strain that you have had. A big mayer hug to you and your family.:grouphug:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

That is hilarious.

Well, my situation was worse than I thought. When I got to the school, the front office ladies laughed at me. The receptionist callled down to Belle's room to get her to come to the office and her eyes got HUGE and she yelled to me "SHE'S IN PE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! RUN!!!!" So I go ripping down the hall, throw the gym door open and there she is, in all her glory, playing KICKBALL in her flip flops.
But oh no, it couldn't just be flip flops. They were her HIGH HEELED flips so she was about the turn an ankle.
Then I went strolling down to her classroom, where I see her teacher and her teacher informs me that Belle, bless her heart, is so precious and adorable and she loves her to death, but is quite a little stinker b/c she is flirting with all the boys in class. She then proceeds to tell me that Belle is a little bit behind in math (which I already knew- she got her mad math skillz from her mama :rolleyes1)-- and could we do a little homework with her this weekend.
All this because I let her wear her flips to school.:lmao:
Ay yi yi.

While we are on the bad mom subject - one day towards the end of the last school year I forgot to put DS10's library books in his backpack. Keep in mind this was one time the entire year. WE ARE THOSE KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shelly---- okay- if it's cream, I vote Brown. I heart brown!:lovestruc

:rotfl:

Sea- I hope your weekend goes smoothly for you all.

Okay- off to read RF's TR.

Yay for a TR to read!

Jo

PS....

So I found this stash of Nestle's chocolate crunch eggs left over from Easter (!!!) shoved waaaaaaaaaaaay wayyyyyyyyy waaaaaayyyyyyyyy back in the back of my----------------------------
underwear drawer.:lmao:

How they got there, i have no clue. :scared1:

But I'm really really really wanting the chocolate.

Do ya think it's safe to eat??????????????

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Okay, so it looks as if I can't get into T-Rex the night I wanted anyway. No way. No how. All booked. I have been trying to switch my LeCellier night since about 3 days after I made my ADR's and it's a no go too. :confused3 I am starting to worry about crowds due to the free dining. . .
