Morning Jo! Glad you got up today!

:rotfl:

Geez... There are just so many "back to school" activities. Yesterday, the kids and I each had a doctor's appointment. I had scheduled mine because the kids would be back in school, then DS needed an asthma/allergy appointment, DD needed a shot. Good grief, it took the whole stinking day.

Today has been less hectic. I excercised and then got cleaned up and prepared my favorite spinach dip and took it to the cookbook committee meeting. The went very well, all the moms were nice, we had good food, etc. I think I am going to enjoy this!

Sea - those pics were so sad!

RF- I can't wait to see your scrapbook room! Can I send my pics to you? Will you do my book?

Hey, on facebook I saw that Mari has registered for nursing school. Isn't that great!

Per Jodi's request she wanted a Lunch Report.

Today's lunch is brought to you by Panda Express!

My fortune...

It says: "You will be fortunate in everything you put your hands on."

So I called my wife and told her my fortune and suggested we go to bed a little early tonight! :lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl: We have this running gag we do whenever we get fortune cookies, we add the phrase "in bed" at the end of the fortune and we read it out loud. The results are hilarious at times. This one takes the cake!

That is hilarious Sea! We do the 'in bed' thing too. LOL. Sometimes you get some odd ones. That one by far is the winner.

:thumbsup2

I think the fortune cookie manufacturers actually print some of those fortunes with the "in bed" thing in mind!

:lmao:

Good morning everyone! :wave2:

We have another busy day today...appointments and laundry galore. :headache: What ever happened to DISing the day away???

We were planning to go to the cabin this weekend, but supposedly it's going to rain the whole time. DH and I are looking into some different places to go...as in, staying in a hotel somewhere. I'm praying for rain!!! :lmao:

Lake, have you done anything really cool in the Detroit area?

Other than the zoo, a baseball game, hockey game, football game..and of course Great lakes Crossing...not that much.. any suggestions?????

No, I was really hoping you had some! :rolleyes1

We are NOT going to the cabin...another thing for MIL to be ticked about...but now we don't quite know what to do. And if I don't come up with something fast, we're going to end up at a waterpark. And I'm not in swimsuit shape right now!!! :scared:

and now with the rain, the water park might be out too.

What about Boyne Mountain area... anything there to discover????

Let me look and think about it for you.... :)

Greenfield Village, or henry ford museum... or a play or show????
Science Center maybe???? The Polar Bear exhibit at the zoo is GREAT!!!!

:eek:OMG- Trix... how did I totally miss the post about you staying in a hotel...
followed by this dude-------->:banana:

Which was followed by Sea-
and his "In bed" comment about the fortune.

So I just found out that one of MCat's teachers is a Christian author with lots of books published!

Now I have to go buy her series. :goodvibes

Jo

and now with the rain, the water park might be out too.

Unfortunately, the waterpark is inside. :sad2:

DH says he doesn't want to drive more than 2 hours to get anywhere, so that leaves very few decent options.

So I guess we're going to the waterpark resort. There would be a lot to do outside there if it doesn't rain, so that would be a nice surprise. I think the girls and I would ride horses and DH would play some golf. And if it does rain, I'll just have to suck it up (and more importantly...suck it in :lmao:) and put on my swimsuit and play with my family.

I think we're only going over Sunday night though, because the weekend room rates are really high! :headache:

But of utmost importance in all of this...I get to start Eclipse earlier than I had planned...I was saving it until Friday when we got to the cabin, but now I'll be starting it tomorrow! :woohoo:

Trix & Lake - Spring break - March 12-15. Also - Winter break - Feb 12-15. We could probably do either for Frankenmuth. Pretty high chance of bad weather in Feb though. But we'll see. . . Just something to think about!

Jason and I can do February for sure. I'm penciling it on the calendar. :goodvibes
If and when my MIL makes her mind up...March may be possible too, unless of course we are with her in Florida.

Hey My MAYers....

I see you have been a chatty bunch. I have to go back and read all those pages and see what you guys have been up too.

Well as far as my life still complicated. Me and my DH are still working on us. It's a slow process but i told him i'd rather go slow and make sure we are ok then run back to being fine and then more issues arise in the future.

Well guys i am officially a registered College student. I was all day yesterday in the college registering and such. So i start on the 3rd which is great. Finally going to finish my RN. That at least will help me focus on something else.

It looks like i won't be going down to WDW for atleast 3 years. Next year we prob won't go anywhere. Well we are having a family vacation again but this time to Vermont to go skiing. Then in Jan 2011 we are all going on a family cruise. Then hopefully in 2012 I will get back to WDW. Well i'm DEFINETLY going to try before that but we'll see what happens.....

ok now to go back and read all those pages...

OK it only took me 30 min to catch up... well i only started reading from page 190 anyway....

YAY shelly you are almost there... i'm so jealous that you are going back already... but i'd rather it be a fellow mayer that actually appreciates WDW.... one of my cousins is going they are actually leaving on Sat and they know NOTHING about it... they thought they could just walk up and go to chef mickey... thank god i called and got them an ADR but can you imagine some people... sheesh there are steps that one must take before gong over there.... they thought that all the parks was 1 Huge amusement park... i finally broke it down to them and told them NO each one is different.... but i gave them a crash course on WDW so they can be a little prepared... I even printed out the park maps so they can stategize since it's about 12 of them going... i wish them luck...

Jo - I would go 1st week of may... stay moderate the money you save can be used while you are there.....

I am not bad, just a little naughty! :cool1:
