Sorry about the heat and crowds. Not like the original Mayer adventure of2007 at all.

Bon voyage Heather, I hope you have a wonderful time at the Cape.


Pouring rain here AGAIN! WE were down poured on last night during the kids soccer games. Apparently they only cancel for lightning.
For having never played soccer before Ethan is doing very well. I was worried about throwing him out there with kids who have played 3 or more years before. But not only did he score a goal, but even bounced it off his head in an amazing keep away play last night. I'm a proud Mom! Emily is doing great too, though 5 year olds of course are a bit less organized.


As far as my foot goes, it's really coming along. Some days I feel I could get back out and run again, but then there are days that I step down the stairs and I can still feel the pain. So I will niot be doing anything extra ordinary for a little while yet to be sure it's right and I don't do further damage.

Morning all...

Well back to yesterday... I went to a taping of the Dr. Oz show... i met the tallest and shortest people in the US... and since we were there with his sis in law we were able to walk through the backstage and met everyone individually.... I also took a pic with Dr. Oz but i have to wait for his assistant to email it to me... but it was so funny....

Quick beauty secret that was on his show = crush asprin, add freshly squeezed lemon juice, mix it into a paste and apply to your face. leave for like 5 min then wipe off with a cotton ball with water and baking soda..... a quick home facial... i'm gonna try it here at home...

Be back later gotta make some breakfast for Marissa....

Today is going to be BEAUTIFUL today.... 82 and sunny..... but i'm off to buy shoes for a wedding I have to go to. DH and I are going to a wedding this saturday.... can you believe what my DH told me today before he left to work... he goes "honey so you gonna go get a mani pedi today, right?" what is he trying to tell me, i just had a mani pedi on friday..... i wanted to shoot him, doesn't he know that is mean.... but yeah he is so funny. And it is now 8:30am and Marissa is still sleeping.... sheesh...

Hello MAYers Long time no "see"!

I've been working a ton. I actually got today off though. So I need to get caught up on the laundry and housework. Oh - and the DIS of course!

DS11 finished up hockey Saturday. I don't think he's going to make a career of it or anything, but he had fun. He had a really great last game and got the "most improved" award and a trophy.

DS8 still has one soccer game left, this Sunday. And a final tournament in June. I think his team has a chance to win the whole thing! They are pretty awesome. He got 3 goals last Sunday! Which is so amazing for him. He usually doesn't get a lot of goals. He is very good and scores goals each season, but not each game. He somehow always end up being the guy with several assists each game! I guess I've taught him well to share!!

I don't know if you guys remember or not, last year DS11 got the Principal's Awards at the end of the year 3rd-6th grade Awards Day. Each teacher picks one student from his/her class to receive it. It is for being respectful, responsible, getting along with others, following school rules, etc. They don't like you to give it to a kid who already got in previous years. But, I just found out he is getting it again this year!! He is going to be so surprised and excited!! He is in with a very "challenging" class this year. His teacher has said numerous times that about 20 of her kids are bad, loud, disrespectful, and so on. She has told me all year that she wished they were all like DS. So she said she had no choice but to give him the award! I'm hoping he gets in with a better group next year. He has had a rough year with the entire class always getting punished even when he was doing what he was supposed to be doing.

Hi MAYers! It's been a while. I've been in a funk lately- wishing I could escape to Disney again soon, busy playing nurse and dosing out the antibiotics, blah blah blah. Andrew is at least better. Em and Jason are still feeling yucky.

Jason's Dad got some results back yesterday- chemo did nothing for either cancers. They told him he has about 6 months at most and to start making exit plans. Why dr's are so harsh sometimes, I'll never know.

The weather here has finally turned to sunshine and is warmer. I opened all my windows to let in some fresh air only to find that the farmer has put manure on his fields. The joys of living rural.

Shelly- Congrats to your DS. What a great honor! Brag away!!!

Jo- Welcome home! Sorry to hear that it was hot and crowded. Can't wait to see some pics when you're feeling better.

Sea- Hope it's short lived and you're feeling better soon.

Mari - Cool you met Dr. Oz! I have tons of episodes recorded but haven't had much time to watch them.

Hey Kim. Sorry to hear the bad news that your FIL got. That is so sad.



We are having a beautiful sunny warm day here as well! I think we will hit the upper 70's by later this afternoon.

I talked to JO this morning MAYers. She saw 2 doctors yesterday. She has severe arthritis in her neck and has to have physical therapy and keep taking meds. If those don't work for pain she will have to go back in and have a shot. Being on the computer a lot triggers her pain. She said to tell you guys thanks for all the thoughts and prayers and that she will be on to check in with everyone when she is having a good day.

We are going July 12. I am so crazy! We are going to be sweating our booties off.

So this morning I get an email that AirTran has already changed my flights. I have not flown with them before. Do they usually do this? And of course they changed my flight so that I am getting to Orlando 45 minutes later. But hey, at least I am going to WDW!!!

NC - oh... i've never flown airtran.... Sorry to hear they moved your flight but at least it wasn't by a couple of hours but only 45 min... It will be HOT but hey at least you will bein WDW!!!!!!! that is what i'm saying to myself. I heard it will be hot and crowded when i go but it's ok.... i don't mind..... as long as i get to see the mouse....
