NC - when we honeymooned at WDW in 1997 it was the week of July 20th. It was hot, but usually there was a 20 minute afternoon rain that helped cool things off a bit. You bigger issue will be the tour groups of kids. When we were there there we hundreds of Brazilian teenagers everywhere, who liked to help each other butt in line. Luckily for you...you know how fast passes work.


You and the kids will ahve a great time. Just enjoy it and don't expect to fit everything in, and you'll be fine.

We are going July 12. I am so crazy! We are going to be sweating our booties off.

So this morning I get an email that AirTran has already changed my flights. I have not flown with them before. Do they usually do this? And of course they changed my flight so that I am getting to Orlando 45 minutes later. But hey, at least I am going to WDW!!!

Yes, AT is known for changing their flight times. They changed our return flight by 20 minutes already. And they added flights to both our days and changed our flight numbers and didn't even tell me! I try to check it each day. They really are great to fly with, other than that!

What a beautiful day here!

Woke up at 10:30 am! So nice to sleep in and channel surf the tv in bed while drinking a Coke. Ordered some pizza and hot wings and that just got delivered a little while ago. I think I am in paradise.

Next on the agenda is to clear out the dryer lint tube. Mine is about 25 feet long. I have to figure out a way to snake it out. Should be an interesting project.

Maybe head down to the beach later on today since it is so nice.

Those of you who have flown Air Tran

We just found a flight with them on the days we need for our cruise, at half the price of Delta and others. It's a real steal. $845.00 instead of 1700.00
NC and Shelley, you have both mentioned that they have been known to change their times.
Do their flights usually fluctuate like that after you have booked. Has it ever been an extreme change like many many hours. We would hate to book it, and then miss it and lose out because we are still on our way back to Orlando from Cape Canaveral.

Help please...I need your advise.

Lake - I wish I knew, but this is my first time to fly Air Tran. They do not fly out of Little Rock. We are driving to Memphis to fly them. Last year, we drove to Memphis, but flew Delta.

My flight so far has only changed by 45 minutes. I am getting in 45 minutes later.

They have never changed mine by more than about 30 minutes. But yes, they do change them after you book. Sometimes several times. And sometimes only a few days before you are to leave. You always have the option to cancel and get a full refund if they change your times. Or to move to another flight with no fee.

Morning all.... just wanted to come check in really fast.... well we had an AWSOME time at the wedding yesterday.... Marissa danced the WHOLE time... she had a blast.... Once we got home she PASSED out... and it's crazy i looked through our pics yesterday and I don't have 1 pic of me.... isn't that crazy... i thought we would take more but we were having too much fun....

Lake & NC- Don't worry about your flights... it will all work out in the end.... even if it is a drastic change like Shelly said you can change them with no fee....

Well off to my mothers today..... DH and Marissa are still passed out next to me.... we called the wedding couple last night before we went to bed and the bride was telling us that the groom had been in the bathroom throwing up since they got in the room... lol ... i told him not to drink too much....

But will be back later to see if someone wants to have some DIS talk..

Morning all! We got home safe and sound yesterday morning - our flight was at 7am and we were staying 1 1/2 hrs away from the airport so we were up and leaving at 3am!! So when we got home we crashed and slept on and off all day.

I'll try to post pics when I can.

Lake - Did you book the flights? I really like AT except for the changing times, but as Shelly said - you can always get a refund and sometimes you even get a BETTER flight.

NC - WOOOOO HOOOO!!!! I am so excited for you!

Airtran usually has better prices on Tuesday thru Thursday, so if you couldn't find your well priced flights, that may be why. Try again on Tuesday, maybe you can find something then.

The holiday is in honour of Queen Victoria...and yes some people do fireworks.
Most people have barbecues and have friends and family over, a lot of people use this weekend as the official opening of back yard pools, and flower planting and a variety of yard work.

Some people head to the provincial parks and go camping as well.

This holiday is often teasingly referred to as the MAY two four weekend.
As for the fact that a lot of people head to the local brewery or liquor store and pick up a case of beer... two -four. ( 24 to a case haha)...but also because it's always the weekend closest to the 24th of May. Victoria's birthday.
