Sea - I love that photo with all their luggage! We used to take pictures with luggage when I was a kid.

We also took a lot of pictures outside in front of our car. We didn't take a lot of indoor photos, but lots of outdoor photos. Something about the flash. I think I remember we had to buy "flashes" or something or other. Mom would say, "Everybody outside. Time for a picture." My brother and I knew to march outside and stand in front of the car to get our picture made! Did anyone else do that?

YES! But do you remember the cube that would turn on top of the camera that you had to replace after you burned them all? Wow- I haven't thought of that in years!:goodvibes

Yes, we did. My dad owned a Polaroid camera, (so did I) and took a lot of pictures. I remember the "one use" flash bulbs. Then on the 110 Kodak camera, the had the "flash cubes" which were good for four flashes.

You needed to go outside because the film for those cameras was very slow and it couldn't be used in low light situations, unless you compensated with a flash.

Yea, Oma and Oma.

Cool collection you got going!

I will have to take pics of the Steiffs when we get back.

That is funny story about you daddy. :rotfl:

Awww, Sea- I love that picture of the Frauleins! They look like my great great German Gma's Oma!!:goodvibes

That is so neat you have a collection of old steiff's. They would be worth so much $$ but I know they are worth more to your wife's heart.:goodvibes

My dad Broiught me a bear that growls when you turn him upside down, a lamb and a kitty, I think it was. I lost the kitty.:confused3

I love going into the shop at epcot to see all their Steiff's.

My Dad looked Pure German and was often mistaken for a local when he was at the Bosch plant in Germany (He worked for Bosch).
He always had Americans coming up to him speaking very slow English, asking directions and he'd scare them to death when he'd start speaking to them in slow English back.
:lmao:

NC---- I don't think , with Christmas coming up, we can do it-- we are leaving for Charleston in 35 days! I have to save for that trip, unfortunately. But if we were staying local, we'd probably go.
Cute story about Chris. Poor baby, he didn't understand.:lovestruc

Well, I finally just got done sorting through all my scrapbook stuff and set aside what I am going to take tomorrow. I am strictly working on finishing Disney, Halloween, House pics, Beach and a Kennywood page. :upsidedow

I am taking my embossing gun - which I haven't used since I bought it to make my bridal shower invitations. I figure I'll have more than enough time tomorrow to pull out all the stops and experiment. :goodvibes

I probably won't be on tomorrow - my BFF Rachel is picking me up tomorrow at 7:30am  So have a great Saturday MAYers. I'll see ya Sunday! And Shelly will be home so we can hear all about her trip!

:yay: < - - - Yay!!! For us
:guilty: < - - - Sad for them.

Morning MAYers.

Sea is on his fantastical journey.

Shelly is winding hers down. I can never ever enjoy my last day of vacation b/c i'm too busy being sad it's over.

RF- have a fun day!

I'm taking the kids Christmas shopping today-- well, until the UF game starts at least.:goodvibes

We saw A Christmas Carol last night. MCat and I loved it-- it's her favorite book ever (I have a very deep thinking child, LOL-- the first time she read it she was Drew's age- 10.) Drew and Belle thought it was okay, not great, but didn't really understand it. Mcat explained it to them all the way home.
I thought the images and how far a cartoon has come is unbelievable. We didn't see it in 3D- and I'm glad we didn't I'm pretty sure it would've made me sick.

Alrighty then. Time for coffee!

Have a great day!:goodvibes

Hello from Ft. Lauderdale airport. Flight was packed from LA - got in at 530am and had breakfast at Chilis. Can't go over to the port until 11am. Just waiting and trying to take a nap on these lame chairs. - Sea

SEA!!! You're not at SEA yet!

Welcome to the EAST COAST!

:goodvibes

Sorry the flight was packed and the seats are hard on your BEHIND.:goodvibes

Throw some confetti at the Bon Voy-ageee cast off party (said in my best Bugs Bunny voice) for me!

Yes, the flash that turns. That is the one we had. I am guessing it was good for four flashes. We also had a Poloroid that you had to smear stuff on the photos to help them develop. I always thought that was super cool. Wow! I haven't thought about that in years!!!

So glad you enjoyed the movie. Did you go to the Malco @ Pinnacle Hills? Doug and I asked the kids if they wanted to go last weekend after the game, but they just wanted to go back to the hotel to rest! :confused3

Morning NC!:goodvibes

Yep- that's where we see most of our movies- it's the "Newest" one around. We shopped around the Promenade for awhile- I swear every time I go over there at night it reminds me of DTD. :goodvibes Very festive with all the lights!:santa: I love the way PF Changs looks all lit up.:wizard:

LOL -- your kids wanting to rest. They must've been worn out.
Mine are yelling right now to hurry up and get ready so we can go to Krispy Kreme.:goodvibes I wanted IHOP-- they have those harvest grain pancakes that are soooo good. (and I try to convince myself they are "Healthy", LOL) But I think I will pick up some Whole Hog BBQ on the way home for supper. NOT healthy.:lmao:

Mark is on his way to see the Gators play. WITHOUT ME. Tebow's last SEC game.:sad1:

Okay- gotta shower.

Sea--- PD for a great journey!:wizard:

We "rested" Sat. after the game and then went over to Auntie Annie's for pretzels and sat ouside. I really enjoy the Promenade. The lights and music, etc. Lots of fun! We also went into Melody's or Melanie's Choices, something like that. We really liked that shop. Sort of Hallmark type of gift shop. They have a great selection of Vera Bradley there. Lots of fun. They have built a Promenade in Chenal, but it isn't as large and just doesn't have as much foot traffic yet, and has lots of empty spaces. So it just doesn't have the feel to it that yours has. It also doesn't have an anchor store like Dillards or JC Penney.

Picked Chloe up from her sleep over. I found out a teenager here in Little Rock died last night. There was a group of them together and they were driving a "mule" which is a sport utility vehicle and they ran over one of the other kids and he died. So sad.

Our high school team won their play off game last night!!!

Is MCat's high school team in the playoffs?

Happy Birthday to my hubby today!!!!

And guess what....................................The Renos are done!

Happy Saturday evening everyone...of course i have no life and am here on a Saturday night :sad2:

Hope Sea isn't sea-sick yet!
Hope Shelly made it home safely.
Hope RF is still scrapping into the wee hours of the morning.

NC- So sad to hear about the teen in your area- what a shame. I'll be saying some prayers for the family.

Lakehead- Happy Birthday to your DH!

Well I'm heading to browse the rest the rest of the DIS...what an exciting life I lead. :lmao:

:goodvibes

Just got finished watching the Gators.

Mark was able to see Tebow and crew up close and personal once again when the players came into the stadium. His sis video taped it so I could see.:goodvibes

Now......

Egg Nog Ice cream for supper!:lovestruc http://www.braums.com/products.asp?id=676247099

Kinda offsets that 45 minute power walk I did this morning.
