Hi MAYers. :goodvibes I just got home a little while ago. Whew! Long day of scrapping. :faint: LOL. I got 8 pages done. Which is a LOT for me.

It was a lot of fun and I'm glad that we went, but I don't know that I would spend $65 to go back again. It was nice, because we were seated with people that were close to our age. So, it was nice talking to new people - but aside from the food (which there was a ton of!) It wasn't really worth paying for. The 'demos' were like 2 minutes, and they were basically "Hey, look how to use this sticker - it's for sale over there' and that was it. :sad2:

I was hoping that they would have tools for us to use, or a cricut, or sisix (sp?) or SOMETHING... But nope.

Whatev. It was still a nice day out. :goodvibes

Next time - I'll set up my 8 foot tabe in my garage and Rach and I can order in lunch and scrap down there.

Well, I'm going to bed. I'm dead tired. I'll see you guys tomorrow :grouphug:

P.S. - Darrie Ann, tell Jason that Bob and I wish him a very happy birthday with many many more to come!!!

:goodvibes
Mark was able to see Tebow and crew up close and personal once again when the players came into

Tebow or at least talk of him has infiltrated my dreams. I dreamed I was talking to a friend's old high school PE teacher (who also was the school's football coach). Only thing I remember in the dream is asking the guy what he thought of Tebow and that I hear a lot of people talk about him.

Hey Guys,

Well Soccer is finally done for Meghan:banana::banana::dance3::dance3:

We only have one more cheer competition next week. Then I will have my weekends back for awhile. I can't wait.

I recruited some more people for disney in May. I cant wait.

How is everyone??

Hi guys! Slow day... :confused3

I just called Disney! I can use the gift cards from GE to pay for my trip!

:worship:  :yay: :dance3: :woohoo:  :worship:

That's awesome news! That means I can get fuel perks AND slowly but surely buy cards too pay off my trip! :goodvibes

It's still double fuel perks this week - we can probably only spend$200 and I'm not sure if I should use it to completely pay off the Universal tickets in full, or get $200 towards Southwest - or get the Disney ones.

Any suggestions?

I'm back MAYers!

Someone please catch me up. I feel so out of the loop!

The trip was fabulous! Great weather (except for the crazy wind). Low crowds. So much fun!

Hope all is well with all the of the MAYers! :snooty::grouphug:

Hi Shelly! Good to hear from you! I am dying to hear all about our trip. :goodvibes

Well - I'll do my best to give you the scoop. ;)

I am trying to plan my trip for October, I got insanely jealous (in a good way) of your trip so I went into early planning mode. :cool1: Giant Eagle is now selling Disney gift cards and they are doing double fuel perks this week so I think I am stock piling on either Disney, Universal, or Southwest cards. I called Disney and they accept them to pay off trips! I had a small fiasco where I thought really terrible neighbors would be moving in across the street - but they were outbid!! :worship: Annnd ummm, and I went to an all day scrapbook crop yesterday with my BFF Rachel and it was a lot of fun and a great day out, but IDK if it was worth the money I spent....

Sea - Cruisin' in the Caribbean right about now! :cloud9: He's posted some cool pics of his fun at DLR, his neice and nephew at Epcot last week, and some very interesting old pictures of his wife. :thumbsup2

Lake's DH Jason's birthday was yesterday and her home renovations are finally done! :yay: She and Trixie briefly discussed your upcoming Frankenmuth trip and were excited to start planning with you!

Trix wasn't on much, I think she missed her partner in crime. But - she updated us that she talked to you guys and that you were having a fabulous time :yay: But, don't worry - no details. She didn't want to spoil your TR! :woohoo:

Jo - kept us posted on your PTR where you guys would be in WDW and of course cheered on her Gators! But she was a little jealous Mark was at the game yesterday and she didn't get to go. :sad1:

NC - Chris and Chloe are doing great, the book has really helped her. And she took a new *ahem* teaching gig at the school. I'll let her explain. LOL.

Tas is getting really excited for Eliska's 1st trip to Disneyland in just a few weeks!!! She was sniffin' paper (not nearly as awesome as sniffin' plastic used to be IMO :goodvibes)

Mari and Monny haven't been on much either - Mari is busy with school (I think she's a little more than halfway thru the semester, so her finals are coming up soon! :cheer2: :teacher:  GO MARI!) and Monny has been busy with work and her garage renovations. Good luck! :yay:

KB hasn't been on for a while. :guilty: She's having a tough time at home, her mom wasn't doing well. Last week she had a stroke and KB could really use some MAYer prayers right now. :littleangel: :snooty:

Huggie popped in quickly to say that soccer is now over, and that her upcoming WDW trip is expanding and it looks like it's quickly approaching!

Whew! That's about it!

ETA - Sorry if I missed anything major.:flower3: Feel free to add anything!

Wow, RF! That was gooooood!

And I did miss my partner in crime...very much! But mostly I was busy working (gasp!) on a quilt that needs to be done soon. A rich lady hired me to make it for her and it's taken a lot longer than I had planned. The pattern isn't that hard, but she tried to cut it out herself and because she did that, it became 1000 times harder and slower for me. If she would have just picked out the fabrics and given them to me, I could have done it a much quicker way and been done by now. :headache:

So, yeah. That's what has been going on with me.

Good morning MAYers!

Thanks for the update RF, that was great! Sounds like your Disney plans are coming along. Thanks for the tip about the Disney gift cards at Giant Eagle!

So Sea is cruising. :boat: Lucky him! Can't wait to hear about that!

Trixiequilts is quilting. :rotfl: I do remember her saying she was quilting when I talked to her. BTW - sorry I never called you back later in the week Trix, the days totally got away from me!

Thanks for keeping my PTR going JO! I was going to call you one day and then realized that your number was at home and not in my phone. So, Mark told you about that CRAZY wind?

Happy belated birthday to Lake's DH! :goodvibes We better get planning that Frankenmuth trip Lake & Trix! Are you coming too RF?

Hope your mom is doing better KB. Saying prayers for her now.

Hello to all the rest of the MAYers! Hope all is well.

I really need to get busy today. Laundry, cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, laundry, grocery shopping, laundry, cooking, laundry, well you get the picture! :upsidedow

So over the weekend, my siblings and I started talking about next christmas and the fact that it will be my dad's 70th birthday.
We have decided that instead of exchanging all the usual gifts that we do, we should all take a vacation together instead to celebrate. So it looks like I may be cruising too. It something that everyone enjoys, and enough activity for everyone to pick what they would like to do during the day ( tours, fishing, playing on the beach or shopping ect...), and then we can all do dinner and shows together in the evening as a group. We are really excited and looking forward to it. 8 adults and 5 children. We can't wait, and luckily its not until December 27th of next year so there is time to save. What a lovely way to celebrate christmas and my dad's birthday.

This way the kids will have christmas morning at home, and then a few days later...off we go for a Caribbean adventure. :)

I'm excited!!!! if you can't tell.

Hi Huggie! We miss you! So glad soccer is over for you. Football is over my DS, but our high school team is in playoffs, so we are still going to those games.

I swear, as I read this I was thinking, "Previously on Mays of Our Lives..."

:lmao:

Sounds like fun!!! Love the pics of your renovation!!!

Good morning!

I logged on just to tell you all that I just ordered my first Christmas gift of the year this morning! See? I'm not such a procrastinator! :lmao:

But as I was waiting, I realized I had indeed already purchased 2 gifts!!! I ordered each of the girls a Disney pin from e-bay a while back. I stuck them (pun intended) in my drawers' drawer and forgot about them until just now.

I'm even better than I thought! :rotfl2:

Are most of you done shopping already???

Trix - The only thing I have done is buy DD a 9 pack of drawers! I was at Target the other day and saw them and decided to go ahead and get em bought!

How very un Mayer like of me to almost be finished all my christmas shopping.:rotfl:

One more thing for Emmy.
And a couple things for the nieces and inlaws. Then I'm done!!!!

I'm a very organized planner... yes it's almost pathetic.:rolleyes1

Although TURKEYS...those I'll need. And I'll take advantage of your Thanksgiving Holiday and pick them up while Meijer has their sales this week.
I need two big birds...as I am hosting dinner for my family the weekened before christmas, and Jasons family on christmas eve.

I have not bought one thing for Christmas! Not even begun to think about it. Too preoccupied with the trip I guess. As you all know I am usually all done with my Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving. Oh gosh, I am turning into a procrastinating MAYer! :scared1:

But hey, I did see some awesome Christmas lights at Disney!! :santa:

No way... You and I usually have things done!
Okay...you get a pass as a Disney Trip definitely kept you preoccupied this year. But now...get out there girl. The laundry can always wait. :lmao:

How do you know what everyone wants so early? :santa:

Or that they won't change their minds?

Morning! Glad to have you back Shelly!

Nice update for Shelly, RF--- you are super cool!

Lake--- Great news on the cruise! That will be a lot of fun for you all. I can't see the pics for some reason of your reno-- but I know they are great and you are happy to have them done.

I am :rolleyes1 almost:rolleyes1 done with shopping!!!! I know- can you believe it? It's going to be a very very low key Christmas b/c the things the kids are asking for are so dang expensive!!

Belle is getting American Girl Julie and lots of accessories for her, a Vera Bradley purse and a few movies.

Mcat is supposed to be getting a Member's Only Jacket- but the place I bought it from online is a store in LA and they are dorking me around. I miught need Sea's help when he returns....... she's also getting a duffel bag and purse from Vera Bradley.

Drew is getting a cell phone, some cologne and some Wii games and movies.

I bought all of the above items online and had them shipped to my MIL's house where we always have Christmas Morning.

The kids have already pooled all of their $$ they got from getting good grades on their report cards and...... instead of spending it on themselves, they bought presents for their Grandparents. Isn't that sweet??:lovestruc

My Mom's present this year is dinner at a fancy restaurant in Charleston (haven't chosen which one yet) and a private tour of her favorite mansion down there. She is going to be ecstatic-- it's been closed off and on for years as a private residence but you've never been able to tour the whole house before. Witht he private tour, you can! Here's the link--- http://www.calhounmansion.net/
you may recognize it-- it was in the movie The North and the South.

Mark's parents present is always a gift certificate to their favorite swank restaurant in Chas, which I'll get when I'm there and my SIL gets a check (college student!;)) and his g'parents get a Gift certificate to a grocery store.

I can't believe it-------
I'm not a Christmas Procrastinator this year!! Someone pass the cold Peanut butter!:lmao:
