Happy Friday Mayers!!!

The sun is bright and we are expecting it warm up quite a bit this weekend.

It is suppose to get into the 80's on Sunday!

We are emptying out my MIL's garage this weekend and moving stuff into storage. We accepted an offer on the house on Monday and opened escrow on Tuesday. We have a 10 day escrow! Very happy with the deal...had a few bumps, but we got them smoothed over and we are heading towards the finishing line with this now.

Phew! I will be glad when this week is over. I'm mentally exhausted. Trying to stay positive- next week has got to be better!!!

Andrew was feeling better yesterday until the evening. We were up most of the night with a 103-104 fever. Overlapping the Motrin and Tylenol would only bring it down to 102. This morning he was 103.8 with both meds, shivering and telling me his chest hurts. Turns out he has pneumonia. We go back tomorrow morning to be evaluated again after he's been on antibiotics 24 hours. I'm having trouble getting him to drink enough. I'm crossing my fingers these antibiotics kick in and he starts taking fluids soon so he doesn't have to be admitted.

I've got a cup of tea in my sweats and the Olympics opening ceremony on my agenda tonight. TGIF has never been so true!

Sea- Good to hear things are moving along so well on your MIL's house. And 80's sounds heavenly! :cloud9:

Mari- Hope things work out for your Dec trip. Happy studying!

Lake- Looking forward to seeing Canada at it's finest tonight!

Jo- DH hasn't talked much about his Dad yet. I have a feeling he'll melt down this weekend when he has time to let it sink in. Thanks for asking.

Afternoon guys!

Kim---Oh I'm so sorry! Wow, poor little guy- pneumonia-- wow! I'm praying for him. You guys are really dealing with so much. I hope your weekend goes all right.:guilty: I bet your vacation seems like it happened 100 years ago.:guilty: Take care of one another.

Sea-- congrats on the good house news. :) Hope you'll be able to head to DL for awhile on Sunday in that beautiful weather you're going to have. It's snowing in Charleston right now--- hasn't happened in 10 years! :) My mom is ecstatic.

Mari--- Your December trip------:guilty: hope you guys can work it out and you'll get to go soon.

Been at Belle's Valentine party this afternoon--- I made the cupcakes- and now her teacher is wanting to hire me to make them for her rehearsal dinner for her wedding.:upsidedow They take a long time to do-- that's what I was doing all day yesterday.

Oh and I went to the chiropractor for two hours this morning..... been having Sciatic nerve problems for the past two weeks. ouch.

Have a really really great night/ weekend.

Hope all the babies feel better soon.

:flower3:

Hello MAYers! :goodvibes

I'm back! :cool1: Did you even notice I was gone?? :rotfl:

We left after school Thursday and headed north. Yep, north. Like we needed to see even more snow. :scared:  We went to Splash Lagoon in Erie for 2 nights! http://www.splashlagoon.com/ We went to the water park Thursday evening and Friday. We ate lots of great food and did some shopping at a very nice and big mall. Lots of fun!! :yay: We got back this afternoon. Just in time too, it is now snowing once again. It's nearly a complete white out. :sad2: When will it ever end???

I will load our trip pictures and post them soon!

Mari -- Good luck with school. Sounds very difficult. I bet your family is so proud of you! BTW -- we relate everything to Disney too. All weekend DS10 kept accidentally calling Splash Lagoon - Splash Mtn. :lmao:

Kim -- How is your DH doing? I hope the kids are on the mend.

Sea -- Congrats on getting things settled with your MIL's house.

Lake -- I watched most of the opening ceremony last night in the hotel room. Very awesome!

JO -- I hope your back is doing better very soon. Sounds like you've got lots of cupcakes to make!

NC & RF -- Where are you???

Welll- I noticed you were gone...

:rolleyes1

:rotfl2:
Glad you're back and had fun.

Sorry the snow is trailing you---- you need some of Sea's weather!!! (It's supposed to snow here tomorrow too- so I could use a little 80's weather as well.)

:lovestrucHappy Valentines Day MAYers!!!:lovestruc

Hi Shelly! Glad you had a great time at the water park. Sounds like a lot of fun. Can't wait to see your pictures. Did you take the boys? Sorry about the snow. It feels like it is almost summer here with all the warm weather we are having now. Totally weird. - Sea

Thanks Sea! Yes, we took the boys! We don't ever go far without them! :rotfl: They had a blast. Pictures will be up soon.

It's not snowing today!! :cool1:

Well, we spent most of this weekend clearing out my MIL's garage and going through our storage boxes. Despite the dirt and mess, we got to relive a few moments of our past through the pictures and items we found. Of course, they are all Disney related, so I hope you get a kick out of it.

Grad Nite '80 - My high school Grad Nite at Disneyland! Isn't that logo funky?
GradNite1.jpg

Yes, that is my wife, before she was my wife, 3 years before we got married. I feel very disco with that vest on. This was way before us having kids, so my hair is still brown.
GradNite2.jpg

What about those ticket prices? $10.00!!! Grad Nite started at midnight and ended at 6:00 a.m. We were really tired puppies after that night.
GradNite3.jpg

Oh yea, check out the rules we had to follow...or else we would end up into Disney jail!

More to come in a couple of days...Sea

SEA- That picture is like looking at Chris.
He looks so much like you!!!!!!! :goodvibes

My sister is having a great time at the olympics, and is up in Whistler now.
Yes...of course I am jealous of her. I'd love to be there. We are a winter sports family having all grown up on the ski hill.

I am enjoying watching the olympics on tv though, and seeing places I love and have been.

Hey MAYers! Wow! It's been a while since I've been on. I have some catching up to do!

I wanted to post this for you guys. It's the slideshow I've been working on from our last vacation. :goodvibes I got it finished a few days ago and just put it on YouTube today. :thumbsup2 It's not perfect, but I think it's pretty cute.

I haven't had much time to watch any TV, but check out the stats on the internet. We saw the opening ceremonies - WOW! They were incredible! Excellent performances. Hopefully, I will see some events tonight. I bet your sister is having a great time. What events is she going to? How long is she going to be there?

You did a great job RF!!! You and your husband looked so happy having a great time at WDW. I hope to see more of your slide shows in the near future. - Sea

They are there for another week yet, and renting a condo at Blackcomb, the mountain attached to Whistler. They can see everything from where they are, including the amazing concerts that happen every night, like Michael Buble, Barenaked Ladies, Feist..ect...

As far as events... they went to the figure skating practice on sunday, and the will see Ski Jumping, Luge, Bobsledding. Plus they can attend down hill events, as they have spectator standing on the side of the hill for those who are skiing the slopes. Tickets are incredible hard to come by for any olympics, so they were lucky to get so many.

The ones they are happy about of course is having been at the opening ceremonies, and getting to be a part of it, banging their drums and all. Every seat had its own kit, which was specific to that seat. It included, a white poncho, and a coloured flash light, drum sticks.. (the kit itself was the drum), and a few other things. There were times during the show to use each, and to do specific things with them. My sister said when the canadian atheletes entered the stadium the entire building was vibrating, and even with the slight problem during the torch lighting no one realised it because of the excitement and joy in the building.
The whales, and the totem trees and the fiddling in the maple leaves were some of my favorite parts though... :)
