I've yet to have breakfast at Kona. I really really need to rectify that one I'd these days as it always sounds so good!!!!
And now....I'm wishing is stick in my head. Lol!
Hi Cynthia! And I noticed that of all your ADRs for December/January no Kona!!

Maybe the next trip. I think your boys would really like it.
Ha! The power of suggestion ... now I'm hearing the echo of the song in my head as well.
Side note: I love your organization and planning skills! What a fabulous job to plan for so many people and everything that you are doing to make it an awesome trip! I hope you get 15 hugs for all that you've done!
OMG. I have to put Kona on my list. That's it. I keep forgetting about your signature breakfast!!! I have to try it. I just HAVE TO!!!!

What if I promise to SPLIT a stack with you
would you move your dates up???
You have not, because you ask not, right?
Sweet Story about the PhilharMagic
I had only been dating DH about 7 months or so, and my two bestiest friends went to Disney for a Girl's Trip. We went into this show to take a break from the heat and while we were standing there I got to hear Minnie say "I love the show ALMOST as much as I love the conductor!" Which made us all squeal because my boyfriend was in college to BE a music conductor!

So, I bought him a cute ornament with conductor Mickey. Turns out
while I was on this trip, he had put my engagement ring on layaway.
Hi Christen!!! You keep tempting me and I may surprise you in March! I'm at the mercy of Em's school schedule this year since she has opted to return to a traditional program next year.
Thank you for sharing that sweet story! It was so perfect!
Yummy, Tonga Toast (we did not eat at Kona when we stayed at the Poly but had from Captain Cooks). It is by far my favourite food in Disney but the Pancakes with Pineapple look pretty delish as well (no macadamia nuts for this girl though allergies.
Agree, those guards are pretty intense. We did not get a chance to see this parade, looked like fun!
PS That view is something else!

Lucky Gals!
I've heard of Captain Cook's tonga toast. Sounds like a great alternative. Oh no, they can do the pancakes without nuts. Wouldn't want to create any medical emergencies for you!
Thanks that view was worth every penny we didn't pay!!
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmm!!! Kona!!!
Those macadamia pineapple pancakes are my absolute FAVORITE thing to eat at Disney. Yum! Yum! Yum! Although I like them just the way they are!
Fortunately, the boys like Tonga Toast, so we have a date to eat there in a couple of weeks.
That is a great entrance photo at MK- you have to squint really hard to find another person, and you could actually crop him right out.
I'm glad you enjoyed the parade while Em visited some spirits.
That's neat that the DL fountain sings.
Ok Dee, you're in my pancake fan club for sure ! You have great taste!
ha! I didn't even notice the absence of people in the photo. Someone's shadow made their way into our photo. I should have told them to move a little to the left!
For some reason I thought you were back at WDW this week, oops I'm off by a week or two. In any event, I know the anticipation of returning so soon must be awesome!
You're making me really regret that we don't have any breakfasts planned at Kona.

Also, it was cool hearing your story behind the "Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It!" song, and I had no idea that Snow White's Wishing Well actually sings in DL!
As for PhilharMagic, I love the show, since it's got Donald and my four favorite Disney movies (TLK, Aladdin, TLM, and BatB)! One thing - it would be nice if they could develop an alternate 'happy ending' for Donald. He always gets stuck with all the bad luck.
Hi Mr. DDW! I'm going to take a wild guess and say that I believe you may be back at WDW a few more times before your AP expires?? If so, you'll have other opportunities to get your little Donald dole whip self to Kona Café!
Yes, the wishing well breaks out in song! Throw a coin in there and you'll see for yourself.
Your poor Donald! If they are going to develop an alternative they should put him in time out for messing with the magic and then they can have his happy ending!! Ok, maybe not.
I hope you are ENJOYING your time in WDW! I look forward to your live updates!
Great Kona update and Mk morning update!
I am sooo excited for our Kona breakfast in December (at least I think its on the schedule). I always schedule it but it never happens. I am so getting the tonga toast and pressed pot!
Hi Rachel!! Yes, Kona is already booked and you are included!! I doubt we'll do much talking since we'll be mmmm mmmm-ing from the delicious food. I'm not a coffee drinker but I would like to start my day with a Mimosa!
Brenda, count me in as another fan of Kona's Macadamia Nut Pancakes. Since my first taste in May of 2009 I've had to get my "fix" on each WDW trip. Like you, I would prefer to have someone to split my order with since I can't finish the serving either. But DH prefers his ham and cheese omelette so we just leave food on the plate. It's still such a bargain for a filling, crave satisfying TS late breakfast

As to Emmy's choice, I know it is extremely popular but merely the look of it repels me and I am a fan of many types of more traditional french toast.
Hi Kathy! Another person for my pancake fan club! I agree, for me, the Tonga Toast is just too much. What's so funny is that I don't really eat pancakes. I tried the Big Kahuna in 2010 and loved the pancakes so much that I've not ordered anything else since!! See, we have a lot in common!
I love love the room view! I can not wait until January to enjoy it! The same of for our first Kona Breakfast! That is so neat that in DL the well sings, but like you said at least the coins go to contents charities.

:
Sarah, you are another BLT lover! Even better you are DVC!
I agree, Disney is very charity minded.
I love your room view.
Thanks Wii!!
Oh YUMMY, that breakfast looks amazing! I want to try Tonga Toast, I have heard so much about it, but I really think I would enjoy the pancakes more.
Your resort view is AMAZING! Love it!!!
Magic kingdom looked beautiful and not too crowded, I hope that was true, the pics show you ladies looking lovely as always!
Hi Judy! I'm excited to see you dropping by.

Too bad Kona doesn't have a sample plate that is 1/2 Tonga Toast and a short stack of the pancakes.
Welcome home!
Oooo - Em's tonga toast looks so good. What is the red sauce? We've never tried the pancakes because of Eveie's nut allergy.
Gorgeous shot in front of the camera!
I didn't know you could hear now white in
Disneyland. Another reason to go!
Thanks Alysa. That red sauce is the strawberry compote that you can pour over the TT. It may push blood sugar levels into the danger zone but people seem to like it! I think they should be able to make a non-nut version. They have their allergy protocol that includes preparation in a separate area of the kitchen.
Awww thanks! And yes, the well sings! A great touch.
Those views are amazing. That breakfast...yummy! We had diner there but never breakfast..another thing on my list ...now to decide on the tonga toast or pancakes lol if only all life decisions were this good.
Nice morning in MK so far
Hi Patti! We are actually trying dinner at Kona Café our next trip. I hope you enjoyed your dinner there. Ha! yes, if life's choices were this easy...
I am finally caught up and able to say hello. I just came across your tr a couple days ago and it has taken me this long to read all 80 pages. My dh is poking fun at me, as I have been reading it like a novel I just can't put down. We just returned from our latest trip to wdw last weekend and i am in serious withdrawal. Thanks for helping me transition back to regular life
Hi there! I'm so glad that you are here and reading and reading and reading ... all of this!!
You are so kind! Are you doing a TR? I hope you had an awesome trip!
Living in Utah, we are in Disneyland more often than WDW, but I have never taken the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" tour. It is on my must-do list now!! What a fun day!
Thanks for the review! I grew up in the east, and WDW will always be my "home" resort, but Disneyland has won a special place in my heart. I love the MK there...more so than WDW's. It has that extra special magic that comes from Walt himself. I can't define it, but I can feel it when I'm there.
It really was fun and nostalgic in some ways to do that tour! You must try it some day.
Awww thanks! I'm the opposite, I am a DLR home town gal but WDW is special since it screams VACATION!! Plus I just love DHS and Epcot!!
Thanks for reading!
