Is there a link to @TheRustyScupper dining reviews? I really want to see his reviews for 1900 Park Fare and BOG dinner. I love the way he breaks down his ratings into categories and I can not decide between these two.

. . . seating quantity: B
. . . seating comfort: B

Our Recommendations:
. . . appys:... Strawberry Soup
. . . entree:.. Pork Roast, Citrus-Glazed Salmon
. . . dessert:. Bite-Size Cheesecake

NOTE: Dinner character interaction is good. The highlights are the dinner
ugly-step-sisters. They are usually a riot - and I seldom give such accolades.
For little kiddies, I would gladly trade the mediocre dinner food quality for
the character interaction. It seems the food is not as kid-friendly as breakfast.

. . . eatery convenience: B-B
. . . staff friendliness: B-C
. . . staff attentiveness: C-D
. . . character interaction: n/a-C (Beast only at dinner, no walking around, photos only.)
.
Our Recommendations:
. . . appys:... French Onion Soup
. . . entree:.. Braised Pork (Lunch), Chicken Breast (Dinner)
. . . dessert:. Lemon-Raspberry Cream Puff
.
NOTE: Eatery has different food themes than usually found in a park. Though not in the
"signature" eatery quality, food is usually tasty. Unfortunately, the taste comes from the
sauce and high sodium levels, and not the underlying food base. Lunch is QS, no ADR-res;
dinner is TS and ressies are highly advised. Atmosphere is very well done and probably the
most fancy and most themed of any WDW eatery. As a QS eatery it is one of the best, as
a TS eatery it is average. Overall: great atmosphere, only average food quality.

Our menu item reviews: (we think lunch is better than dinner, and cheaper)
LUNCH:
. . . tuna or chicken nicoise - good, but too light on olives
. . . croque monsieur - VERY nice, but Béchamel could use more nutmeg
. . . turkey on a warm baguette - average, nice dijon
. . . roast beef sandwich - tasty, but slightly tough
. . . braised pork - recommended
. . . vegetable quiche - wife liked it (REAL men don't eat quiche)
DINNER:
. . . pork rack chop - the pasta out-shined the pork
. . . braised pork - highly recommended
. . . chicken breast - nicely done and recommended
. . . pan-seared salmon - cooked well, but average taste
. . . grilled strip steak - good, but not great
. . . sautéed shrimp and scallops - only average
. . . oven-baked ratatouille - average

Thank you so much @TheRustyScupper !! PLEASE weigh in as to where you would bring a 19 yo first time female visitor. I like the idea of a monorail tour for her as there will be no other opportunity to ride it. But of course overall dining experience is important.

What does the 19 year old like to do? Is she really "into" Disney, or will she think meeting characters is stupid? What kind of food does she like to eat? You know your friend best.

When we ate at 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella and Prince Charming waltzed. The little girls in the restaurant went ga-ga watching them. LOL!

A guest dropped a plate accidentally and a stepsister started yelling, “Cinderella! Clean that up!”

But the best was Lady Tremaine grilling my 12 year-old son on his suitability to marry one of her daughters. He flunked her test because he didn’t own any land or cattle.

I know you're normally up on all things happening, but just in case you missed it, BoG is changing to a signature, prix fix dinner at the end of July, so depending on when your trip is, current reviews may not apply.

ETA: Just saw your other thread....never mind...

1) Sure, food quality is important, but at Disney, sometimes the OVERALL experience outweighs the food.
2) For a FUN meal, it is hard t beat 1900 Park Fare at dinner . . . the characters can be a real riot act.
3) If we look toward food quality as a first item, then I would do Grand Floridian Café for a late lunch or dinner.
. . . no characters
. . . good food quality
. . . relatively quiet, since loud/boisterous/raucous kids are less likely to be eating there
. . . good comfort food - and excellent French Onion Soup
. . . for the price versus quality ratio, even beats Citricos
. . . before or after the meal, take the monorail around the Resort Track from the second floor of Grand Floridian Hotel
. . . AFTER THE SUN GOES DOWN, it is a pleasant and scenic ride *

* When we do Magic Kingdom, there are THREE things that I must do . . .
. . . a - ride the monorail around the resorts after dark
. . . b - have a Mickey Ice Cream Bar
. . . c - ride Carousel of Progress (I saw it first at the 1964 New York World Fair)

Did anyone actually answered the OPs question though?
Are there links to @TheRustyScupper reviews? A web page?

. . . No Food Review webpage, but it will be coming before July 4th, and will include all the reviewed eateries of TRS.
. . . Until that time, just ask for any particular restaurant and I will reply.

Ok, how about Mama Melrose, Nine Dragons, and Skipper Canteen?

@TheRustyScupper , thank you so much! My MK must dos are the same as yours. If we dont have a monorail adr to get to my adult children wouldn't ride it just for fun, therefore our guest will miss it. BTW, that is so cool that you saw Carousel of Progress at the 1964 Worlds Fair! I am duly impressed :)

1) Bummer.
2) Sure, it is not an E-Ticket ride, but still enjoyable.
3) Sometimes you just have to do something because it is tradition and/or unique (at least that is MY excuse, and am sticking with it).

NOTE: During the summer months or other extremely hot days, the inside of the monorails cars can have a "distinctive" odor from sweaty park clothing. Some folks think this is bad, but I claim it as WDW AMBIANCE.
