There's a First Time for Everything! A Christmas In November TR

Oh no! Don't laugh, but I am not on Facebook or anything else for that matter. I know I'm the only person on Earth who isn't. I just have so much that I am trying to keep up with on the DIS that there is no time for any of those things. I'm subcribed to a ton of TRs and PTRs and getting more everyday. Everytime someone posts on my TR and has a TR link in their signature, I want to add it to my subscriptions, but there is only so much time in the day! Maybe once I am finished with my own TR, I will have more time and might possibly get around to doing the Facebook thing. But if I add anymore computer time on right now, my husband will divorce me! :lmao: I hate that though, b/c I'd love to see your pictures. I like to put a face with the folks I'm chatting with and know what's going on with them as well. But I'll let you know if I ever get around to adding Facebook! :thumbsup2

Hey, I've totally gotcha on all accounts! I have only been on Facebook for a few months. Before that, I would just sign in under my husband's name and spy on people! :lmao: He finally got tired of it and signed me up. I STILL didn't click the link to create my account until a couple of weeks later. I happened to run into a guy at WalMart that I went to high school with. He asked if I was on Facebook, and I confessed that I was not. I told him then and there that I'd go home and make an account! So, it has been kind of cool to talk to and check in on people from my past. And then there are those that I wish I had never become "friends" with again. Over all it has been a positive experience.

So, I didn't make any New Year's Resolutions, but I made "January" resolutions. One of them was to stop looking at celebrity gossip sites like Perez Hilton. I just decided that it was too much negativity and I wanted to focus on more positive things. SO, I haven't read any celebrity gossip all month, and I focused on getting more active here on DIS. I figured Disney trip reports were positve, happy, and wholesome (mostly:rolleyes1!) However, it does take A LOT more time to be active here! So I understand your comment about impending divorce! :rotfl2:

I have a Photobucket account from when I started (and abandoned:scared:) my trip report. So, I'll try to post a picture here tonight or tomorrow, so you can see my face. You might regret it!

After the very disappointing night I had just experienced, I couldn't help but wonder what this Friday the 13th would behold. If you recall, in the last episode, I left Hollywood Studios after having my hopes of seeing the Osborne Lights completely and utterly crushed. :guilty: Once we got back to Pop, I was able to look at my itinerary for the remainder of the trip and make a choice about what to do. Remember that we didn't have park hoppers, and I was not willing to pay $150 to add them. That just wasn't in the budget. So I had to make some decisions. Was I able to shuffle things around so we could go back to Hollywood Studios? Well, I'm not telling just yet. :rolleyes1

However, I will tell you that it was not possible to go back the next day (Friday 13th). I had already made a promise to DD, and I had to keep it.

So it was back to the bus stop as every morning before.

IMG_1606.jpg

DD in her hot pink convertible! :cutie:

IMG_1607.jpg

She bought those Minnie Mouse shoes with some of her souvenir money earlier in the trip. She couldn't wait to wear them.

So what park had I promised? Well, I didn't promise the park, but something that was IN the park.

IMG_1608.jpg

IMG_1609.jpg

There was a MVMCP going on tonight as well, so I would really get to see if my crowd theory held true. I was certainly hoping it would because we wanted to just stroll along today and take in all the wonder of the Magic Kingdom. We only had one objective today, fulfilling the promise I made to DD. Other than that, we planned to not have a plan! This was our third and final day at MK. Always a bittersweet day for me. :sad1:

The laid back theme for the day got off to a fine start as soon as we entered Main Street. They had a little entertainment for the kids so we let DD enjoy some hula hooping.

IMG_1611.jpg

How funny it is to watch a five year old try to do this when they have no hips! :rotfl2: I, on the other hand have the OPPOSITE problem!

It was the most gorgeous day imaginable. The weather was so perfect and the sky was that deep blue that just screams, "this is going to be a great day to be alive!" :cloud9: I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take some pictures from atop the train station on a day like this.

Hmmm. It's looking more crowded than it did on Tuesday but still not too bad.

IMG_1614.jpg

A little left to right panorama

IMG_1616.jpg

IMG_1612.jpg

IMG_1617.jpg

We took a quick inventory of what everyone wanted to do that day. Topping DD's list was Big Thunder Mountain. No surprise there! So we got on the train headed for Frontierland and nabbed three of these beauties! :thumbsup2

IMG_1663.jpg

They (notice I said THEY) contemplated riding Splash Mountain, but for some reason DD chickened out. :confused3

Continued in next post.........................

I know you are shocked, but once again, we had slept in and skipped breakfast so it was time for an early lunch. This just works well for us on the regular dining plan since you only get two meals per day. We prefer lunch over breakfast, so we stuck with this routine most of the week.

Our lunch at Columbia Harbour House was so good on Tuesday that we decided to go back. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, ya know?!

IMG_1625.jpg

We sat upstairs by the window. This is a great getaway for some peace and quiet when all the people and noise start to annoy you. This was day seven of our trip, so I was definitely needing some private time. We really enjoyed our meal and watching Tiana's Showboat sail by. :boat:

Our view as we dined

IMG_1626.jpg

IMG_1628.jpg

IMG_1629.jpg

After lunch we walked onto this ride.

IMG_1633.jpg

What? You can't tell what that ride is with that fabulous photography of mine! Come on! It's obvious! Don't you see that floating head at the top? Yes, now you've got it. Haunted Mansion, the only place you can find floating heads at Disney World!

I couldn't get a decent picture on that ride if my life depended on it!

So after I exposed my child to decapitated men, murderous wives, and all grades of ungodly, ghostly ghouls, I thought we should do something more wholesome, like lock her in a colonial torture device! :rotfl: Of' course, you know my little fountain of knowledge had to ask, "What did they use these for Mama?" To which I answered, "They locked their children in them when they asked too many questions."

IMG_1634.jpg

IMG_1635.jpg

Hmmmm. One of those would come in handy at home from time to time though, especially when she starts dating.

IMG_1636.jpg

We let DD choose what she wanted to do next. She picked............

DD loved the fort area at the back of the island. Personally, I don't care much for Tom Sawyer's Island, but I can see how young kids would think it's cool.

Time to sail back to Liberty Square

IMG_1657.jpg

IMG_1656.jpg

IMG_1658.jpg

Tiana's Showboat had just pulled up to the bridge by Splash Mountain. Since we passed on this earlier in the week, we thought now would be a good time to stop and watch.

IMG_1659.jpg

IMG_1660.jpg

IMG_1661.jpg

It was a great show with very lively music. After the show, all the CMs march down the street singing and dancing. :joker: It felt like we were at Mardi Gras except no one was topless!

IMG_1664.jpg

IMG_1665.jpg

I love her dress! So pretty.

IMG_1666.jpg

After the show, we used those fast passes for a ride on Big Thunder. As always, it was great!

DD had chosen Big Thunder and Tom Sawyer Island, so it was my turn to pick something. My ride of choice was...................

IMG_1667.jpg

We grabbed the fast passes and moved onto other attractions until it was our turn. The time was .............

IMG_1668.jpg

We sailed around this small world once again. All that traveling from country to country put us in need of a snack. DH got an orange, and I got Bon Bons in honor of my mother-in-law who thinks that because I am a stay at home mom, all I do is sit around and eat them all day. :rolleyes2 (And for the record, those were the first Bon Bons I've ever had!) DD chose this little colorful concoction..............

IMG_1669.jpg

Again, we sought out a little hideaway to retreat to for our snack. This time we found refuge in the balcony above Pinocchio's Village Haus. This was our view.

IMG_1671.jpg

Very peaceful little spot up there. Not another soul was around, except a few birds that had built a nest up there.

Cont. in next post.........................

While we were taking our break, I told DD that she could spot Cinderella's horse on the carousel because he has a gold ribbon on his tail. She was very excited about it, so we took off in search of him. I scoped out the royal horse and we made a b-line for him when we were allowed in. Did we make it before someone else saddled him up?

IMG_1672.jpg

IMG_1673.jpg

IMG_1675.jpg

Yes indeed! :thumbsup2 It's amazing how such little things can make a child feel special.

Ok. Remember I made DD a promise for this day. Well, that promise was to take her to see the fairies, specifically Tinker Bell. DD had written her a very special letter and she wanted to know if she had gotten it. One day, a few months before our trip, DD came out of her room with a very tiny letter she had written all by herself and asked me to make an envelope for it. I did as instructed and she addressed it very simply, "Tink". I foolishly asked her why she made it so small and she replied, "Mama, she's a tiny fairy! She can't hold a whole piece of paper!" Silly me, what was I thinking? So we "mailed" it off the next day and DD couldn't wait to ask her about it. (Of' course, I took it back out of the mailbox after I dropped her off at school because I just had to keep it to show her when she is grown.)

Now, I thought it would be fun to take her to Tinker Bell's Fairy Treasure store where she could beckon Tinker Bell to come out. You should always call first and ask if you can come visit someone, right? ::yes:: So minding our manners, we head in to call Tink and see if she's up for any company at Pixie Hollow.

IMG_1687.jpg

So would our wish be granted? It's Disney, the place where dreams come true. Of' course they said yes! :woohoo:

First the CM sprinkled DD with plenty of pixie dust. pixiedust:

IMG_1678.jpg

IMG_1679.jpg

Now that she was pixified, it was time to give Tink a call. How do you call her, you say? With a phone, no, she's too tiny to hold a phone, remember? You call her with a BELL. Of' course you call Tinker BELL with a BELL!

Calling Tinker Bell video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e1U3wgn2NU

Very cute thing to do if you have a little girl. And what else do little girls like to do.........SHOP! We browsed around the store which is full of all things princessy and fairyish.

IMG_1681.jpg

I love Sleeping Beauty's color changing dress in this store! DD kept saying, "How do they do that Mama?" :confused3

Make it PINK! :wizard:

IMG_1683.jpg

No, BLUE! :wizard:

IMG_1686.jpg

No, PINK! :wizard:

IMG_1684.jpg

We had just a few minutes before our fast pass time for Peter Pan. We all agreed that we needed one more visit to the Philharmagic before our trip ended. This is one of our VERY favorite attractions.

IMG_1689.jpg

Then, thanks to fast passes, we were off to Neverland without any wait! I adore this ride, but I have no pictures. This was my last trip to Neverland for a while, so I put the camera away and focused on enjoying the moment.

Then it was time to make our way to................

IMG_1690.jpg

To meet the ..............................

YAY!!! LOVE the snow pics!! I know ya'll are excited!! We were excited with the snow we got!!

Looks like your MK is shaping up to be a GREAT one!! You've done so much already!! Can't wait to hear more!! :goodvibes

We waited in line for about 40 minutes.

IMG_1693.jpg

IMG_1694.jpg

Finally it was our turn. Fawn came up and took DD by the hand and led her into Pixie Hollow.

IMG_1697.jpg

IMG_1698.jpg

She asked DD to put her hands on her hips and give a sassy pose.

IMG_1699.jpg

IMG_1700.jpg

Then we met the head fairy herself! :tink:

IMG_1704.jpg

IMG_1705.jpg

Showing her some lost things

IMG_1706.jpg

IMG_1708.jpg

She asked DD if she was wearing Tinker Bell shoes.

IMG_1711.jpg

I was very surprised that our third and final fairy was.................

IMG_1713.jpg

Terrence! I'd never heard of him being there before!

IMG_1715.jpg

So did Tinker Bell get DD's letter? Yes she did! :thumbsup2 Before DD even had a chance to ask Tink about it, she thanked her for the letter and told her that she was keeping it on her desk back at Tinker's Nook! DD looked stunned and she talked about that for the rest of the trip!

Are you wondering how Tink knew about a letter that I never really mailed? Well, while DD was meeting Fawn, I snuck over :tiptoe: and whispered in Tink's ear :listen: that DD had mailed her a letter so make sure she told her that she got it. Thankfully, DD was so distracted chatting with Fawn that she never saw me talking to Tinker Bell. :hyper2:

The day had been great so far. Crowds were low, lines were short, and we had accomplished our only goal of the day, meeting the fairies. Maybe Friday the 13th isn't so unlucky after all. :)

Firsts tally: 67 (Hula Hooping on Main Street, Tom Sawyer Island, Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee, Cinderella’s Horse, Calling Tinker Bell, Meeting Fawn, Tinker Bell, and Terrence)

Up Next: Drinks with umbrellas and dancing with my favorite fella!

That's awesome!! I love that Tink told her that she had gotten her letter--priceless!! I'm sure it's something she'll never forget!! And Terrance!! Oooh--I hope we see him next time!! :goodvibes

What a lovely, laid back day at the Magic Kingdom! You did so many fun things and even got to see Tiana's show which I would love to be able to see! Hurray for meeting Tink and so sweet of her to remember the letter DD had sent to her. ;) I love DD's Minnie shoes! They really completed her outfit perfectly!

Wow, I love all your pictures and videos. I started watching several of the videos and loved them all. I'll have to come back to watch the rest. Your DD is so precious. What great dining spots you got at the MK! I didn't know you could "call on" Tink in the middle of the day.:yay: I've only heard of them "waking Tink" first thing in the morning. What a fabulous TR you a writing!

I love her dress! So pretty.

IMG_1666.jpg

So much fun! Hula-hooping, riding Cinderella's own horse, exploring Tom Sawyer's Island, good food, seeing Tiana, Tink and the Fairies... What a wonderful, magical day! Don't you just feel like jumping into the pictures and being there again?

It's cute that she bought Minnie shoes with her money. She opted for comfortable 'flops' pretty quickly, though, it looks like.

You are right, Tiana's dress is just beautiful. And Naveen is so handsome! :)
I love all the Mardi Gras colors and costumes. They really did this well.

Exellent update and pictures. I loved them all.
Well, I might not have loved the 'going into the mine shaft' one. ;)

Awesome update! :goodvibes

Can you believe that in 5 trips we have never been to Tom Sawyer Island? :confused3 That is a must-do for next time! :thumbsup2 And you are really making me want to try CHH too.

Friday the 13th was a beautiful day at WDW, wasn't it?! We went to DHS that day for a bit to do a few things that we hadn't done earlier in the week. It was a little more crowded than it had been on that Tuesday, but still not bad at all. It was such a beautiful warm sunny day that I really couldn't have asked for anything more! I think we even went swimming that afternoon! :cool1:

I'm so glad your DD got to meet Tink. What a special moment you made that for her by getting to Tink before she did. You are very sneaky!! :wizard:

Excited to hear more! :yay:

Wonderful update! I would love to trade this snow (although beautiful) for that gorgeous day in Magic Kingdom.:goodvibes

We've never done Tom Sawyer's Island. I never want to give up park time for that but I guess I will on one of these trips so I can at least say we've done it.

I loved the video of your DD calling Tink. My DD is so incredibly shy she would never dream of doing that. I will keep working on her though because it's so cute!

Did you ever find out what his story was? That's really wierd that his parents were nowhere to be found!

No. Once we turned in our phones, we never saw him again. Very odd indeed! I think he just really wanted to tell someone how to do the Kim Possible thing, but he totally didn't understand that that ruins it for the other person.

So glad you got your gingerbread!

Me too! He was yummy!

Oh my gosh, I love the necklaces! What a fabulous idea! I saved the ebay link you posted in case there are still some available when we go back!

Great! I'm glad you liked them. I'll bet they are still there. I ordered mine in August, I think, and they still have plenty now.

How magical!

YES! It was almost wierd being back there alone!

You got me curious, so I just went back and check my photos. We were there on 12/12/09 at 2:47pm and Baby Jesus was IN the manger. Hmmm...maybe once December hits, they leave him in all the time?

REALLY?????? How strange. I would really like to know what the deal is with that. I thought her explaination was odd anyway. Who knows.

Wow! What are the chances?!?

I know! We couldn't believe it.

That IS a hard character to draw! One of my faves, but still hard. I think you all did a great job!

Yes it was. I hate that DD got so frustrated.

Oh no! I could just cry for you!

Denise

Thank you. I would have cried if it would have helped any!

Replies in red. :)

Wow, I'm 10 pages behind....
So glad that kid following you around in Mexico wasn't Baylor.....
:lmao:

:rotfl: No, I don't think your child could possibly be that annoying!!!

Glad you got all caught up. Now I've posted another long episode, so you are behind again! :rotfl2:

Yay for your gingerbread man finally! Loved the dancing pictures in Italy! She looks so serious!:lmao:

That gingerbread man was very tasty and way overdue! Yes, DD takes her dancing quite seriously!:lmao: Don't you know one day she is going to kill me for posting that stuff on the internet!:rotfl2:

I love the carriage cage pendant! I was planning to do the pick a pearl next visit, so I just used your link to order some of those darling pendants....
I may have to send some to my DIS buddies!

I thought you would like that. I thought about you when I posted it. Something just told me you would have to order one, or two, or three! :rotfl: I think your DIS friends would love them! How nice of you! :lovestruc

How fun is it that you guys met up with a school friend! Love it! That happened to us last trip too...
We were walking along in World Showcase...

Isn't that crazy! I just can't believe you run into folks there when you are so far from home.

Hey, I've totally gotcha on all accounts! I have only been on Facebook for a few months. Before that, I would just sign in under my husband's name and spy on people! He finally got tired of it and signed me up. I STILL didn't click the link to create my account until a couple of weeks later. I happened to run into a guy at WalMart that I went to high school with. So, it has been kind of cool to talk to and check in on people from my past. And then there are those that I wish I had never become "friends" with again. Over all it has been a positive experience.

Oh dear, that's what I'm afraid of. There are plenty of people I went to school with that I would prefer to leave as a distant memory! :lmao: Hmmmm, I may not ever get around to Facebook after all!

So, I didn't make any New Year's Resolutions, but I made "January" resolutions. One of them was to stop looking at celebrity gossip sites like Perez Hilton. Good for you! The DIS is a pretty wholesome place where you can have good clean fun. I've never understood the whole concept of a celebrity anyway. They put their pants on one leg at a time just like I do, so what makes them special? So they are actors (they are good at playing pretend), or singers (they can make their vocal chords vibrate), or athletes (they like to play with balls). My six year old can do all those things! :lmao: Now a mother, that's a celebrity in my book! :thumbsup2 She can cook, clean, cut grass, pay the bills, take care of the dogs, make boo-boos better, and be everything a husband needs all while carrying a screaming baby on her hip! Let's see Brad Pitt do that! :rotfl:

I have a Photobucket account from when I started (and abandoned) my trip report. So, I'll try to post a picture here tonight or tomorrow, so you can see my face. You might regret it!

No way! If I can post pictures of myself at the end of a day at Disney with my hair all a mess and no make up, you can't show me anything that will scare me!! ;)[/

YAY!!! LOVE the snow pics!! I know ya'll are excited!! We were excited with the snow we got!!

Looks like your MK is shaping up to be a GREAT one!! You've done so much already!! Can't wait to hear more!!

How much did you get? It is fun, isn't it? We don't get it often so it's great when it finally comes.

That's awesome!! I love that Tink told her that she had gotten her letter--priceless!! I'm sure it's something she'll never forget!! And Terrance!! Oooh--I hope we see him next time!!

Yes that was priceless. DD was so shocked. I guess she thought it would never make it to her.

We were so excited to see Terrance. I had no idea he was doing any greetings. I had only seen the girl fairies in other trip reports. I really hope he is there for you on your trip. Such a unique character greeting.

What a lovely, laid back day at the Magic Kingdom! You did so many fun things and even got to see Tiana's show which I would love to be able to see! Hurray for meeting Tink and so sweet of her to remember the letter DD had sent to her. I love DD's Minnie shoes! They really completed her outfit perfectly!

You'll have to go see Tiana's show this summer. The music and dancing are great. So colorful and lively!

Yes, isn't it amazing that she remembered DD's letter when she probably gets so many of them! :rotfl2:

The Minnie shoes are so cute. I am so glad she bought them with her money. She did really good this year about buying good stuff instead of junk. Everytime she wears those shoes now she gets so many compliments from people.

Wow, I love all your pictures and videos. I started watching several of the videos and loved them all. I'll have to come back to watch the rest. Your DD is so precious. What great dining spots you got at the MK! I didn't know you could "call on" Tink in the middle of the day. I've only heard of them "waking Tink" first thing in the morning. What a fabulous TR you a writing!

Aw thank you so much. We did find some nice hideaways at MK. After several days of being around so many people, I just needed to get away a bit.

Ever since they remodled the Tink store, they have changed the way you call Tink. It used to be only the first child who got to the store could wake her up. Now you can go at any time of day. I REALLY like the changes they made. We would have never made it to wake her up b/c we can hardly wake ourselves up! :lmao:

So much fun! Hula-hooping, riding Cinderella's own horse, exploring Tom Sawyer's Island, good food, seeing Tiana, Tink and the Fairies... What a wonderful, magical day! Don't you just feel like jumping into the pictures and being there again?

YES, YES, YES!! This TR has been so much fun, but it is killing me wanting to go back!

It's cute that she bought Minnie shoes with her money. She opted for comfortable 'flops' pretty quickly, though, it looks like.

Yes, she said that one of them was rubbing the back of her heel. I didn't want her to get a blister and ruin our day. I knew that would probably happen, so I had packed the flip flops. It only took her wearing them a couple of times though for them to get broken in. She wears them all the time now and people just love them. She gets so many compliments on them. I wish they made them in adult sizes. Do you think I would look like an idiot in them? :lmao:

You are right, Tiana's dress is just beautiful. And Naveen is so handsome!
I love all the Mardi Gras colors and costumes. They really did this well.

I agree. I love all the colors and I think her dress is so unique. You gotta love an American princess!

Exellent update and pictures. I loved them all.

Well, I might not have loved the 'going into the mine shaft' one. ;)

:rotfl: That is so funny that you say that. I thought of you when I posted that picture! Actually that cave wasn't too bad, but there is one at the back of the island that would make you have a full fledged meltdown. :scared1: DD and DH took off into it without a thought and so I attempted to go after them. I made it about 3 steps and thought my heart would explode. I screamed at them and told them I couldn't do it. I'm sure the folks around me thought I had lost my mind. Luckily, they came out the back and it cirlced around to where I was waiting. Just take my word for it. You couldn't handle it back there. :rotfl2:

I loved the video of your daughter calling Tink. I didn't know you could do that. We have been to Tom's island but I don't think we ever saw the fort part. We were so focused on finding a paint brush that we must have missed it. Your daughter is just so darn cute, I loved her Minnie shoes:lovestruc

Awesome update!

Thank you!

Can you believe that in 5 trips we have never been to Tom Sawyer Island? :confused3 That is a must-do for next time! :thumbsup2 And you are really making me want to try CHH too.

Well, TSI wouldn't be my first choice but DD really liked it. There just really isn't much to do in my opinion, but she loved walking over the bridges and through the caves. You should do it at least once. I think your boys would probably like it. I've also read that they hide 4 or 5 paintbrushes on the island and if you find one, you get a fast pass for any attraction you want. We couldn't find any that day though, but we had fun looking for them.

CHH has become our favorite counter service. If you like fried shrimp/fish, this is the place for you. I've also read that their tuna sandwich is fantastic (called Anchors Aweigh), but I don't like tuna.

Friday the 13th was a beautiful day at WDW, wasn't it?! We went to DHS that day for a bit to do a few things that we hadn't done earlier in the week. It was a marvelous day. :cloud9: I think the weather was fantastic all week long really. I agree it was more crowded than Tuesday, but still great. Hooray for pool time! We didn't get much of that b/c the temps stayed cool but I was very happy with that. I'd rather have the cool weather than the pool anyway.

I'm so glad your DD got to meet Tink. What a special moment you made that for her by getting to Tink before she did. You are very sneaky!! :wizard:

::yes:: I am a sneaky little devil aren't I! :lmao: I really thought I was going to get busted though, but she never looked my way. :woohoo:

Excited to hear more! :yay:

I've been reading some on your tr. I'm on page 4 of 50 something! ;) There just isn't enough time in the day! I am really enjoying it though. What a cute little family you have. You must be spoiled being the only girl with three boys! :)

Wonderful update! I would love to trade this snow (although beautiful) for that gorgeous day in Magic Kingdom.:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Oh yeah, I'd make that trade any day! No contest!

We've never done Tom Sawyer's Island. I never want to give up park time for that but I guess I will on one of these trips so I can at least say we've done it.

I'm the same way. I'd rather do something else, but we were sort of letting each person pick their choice of 2 or 3 things to do that day and that's what DD chose. I shamefully tried to talk her into something else, but she was determined. I'm glad we went though. Last year she wanted to go too and as soon as we got on the island DH had to go to the bathroom! He's worse than a kid sometimes!! :rotfl: So we had to leave and we never made it back. So I guess we owed her one anyway. Don't feel bad though, you haven't missed much.

I loved the video of your DD calling Tink. My DD is so incredibly shy she would never dream of doing that. I will keep working on her though because it's so cute!

Yes, do encourage her to do it. It is very cute and she will love it if she can get up the nerve. Maybe she will grow out of some of that as she gets older. I feel for her. I was always like that too.

Thank you! Yes, you can go in the store at any time during the day and ask to call her. It is very cute!

We looked for the paint brushes too but couldn't find any that day. The fort area at the back is huge. There are more caves and some cannons and whatnot. Not much too it but the kids love running around in it.

I was very happy that she bought those shoes. I like it when she buys something practical with her money. She gets so many compliments from people on them too. They really are precious and they weren't that expensive to be at Disney. I think they were $20. :thumbsup2

OMG.. what an amazing day at the MK... from calling Tink to meeting her.

I had a friend that worked at Disney. She sent an Aurora costume, tiara, wand and shoes to my dd Lily, who was 5 at the time. She put a sweet letter in there from Aurora telling Lily to come see her soon. Well, we did.. at Akershus. When Aurora got to the table and Lily started telling her thank you for sending her the dress, etc., Aurora said, " Why it fits you perfectly and I just knew you would love it! " OMG..it was so sweet and Lily was so stunned.

What a trip down memory lane for me. :) Keep 'em coming.. stuck at home in the snow :):surfweb:

Another great day! I loved your dd's Minnie shoes, although I noticed they did not make it through the whole day! Smart mommy to bring some extra shoes!

I cracked up over the "bon bons" comment. I suppose you sit around watching the soaps while you eat them, right? We SAHM's have such an easy life! I wouldn't trade it for the world, but a house gets alot messier when someone (or two or five) is always home.

That's good to know about Tink's Treasures! My oldest was able to wake her up on our trip three years ago, just by a fluke. It's nice to know we won't have to race over there if we want to do it again!

Do they still let people ride the Riverboat now that it has the show on it? It's never been my favorite, but my ds always wants to ride it for some reason. Ditto on your thoughts on TS Island. My kids love running around over there. I look at it more as a time sink, but if they like it I guess it's worth the trip over.

Hoping your get back to see the lights. I would have been totally bummed too.
