There trying to give me an ulcer!

O.K., we are trying for the November 20th cruise but are waiting for a check to come so it could be another week before it gets here. So every day I go in to check to see if a Cat. 11 is still available and last night it was not. So we started stressing and talked about pushing it off until January. Then I check again today and it's availabel...talk about stressing out. Does this happen often? Cause if I check again tomorrow and it's gone again i'm going to have an ulcer.....ahhhh.

I would think that most of the availability/unavailabity volitility would happen in the 90 to 60 day before departure timeframe. There is no doubt in my mind that even in the 30 days before departure that there would be some changes.

I see kids in your picture, did you put them in on the ressie attempt BOTH times? Sometimes a cruise will fill up for a particular age group. That's why when originally booking a room on a cruise that that you are not sure you are going to take or don't have enough $ for the "down payment" for everyone, you should book one adult and one child (ages 3-12) in the room to be sure you "lock in" your place because of the kids clubs.

My TA reserves a stateroom for us and allows us a full week to give him the deposit (in your case final payment since you are within 60 days of departure)- I suspect that if you use a TA that you are familiar with, he can hold a stateroom for a week or so until you can make payment....

I think that All Seasons Travel has blocks of rooms on reserve, so they may have some Cat. 11 and at a better price then DCL (often).

Now I have never used them, others have had good things to say about them. One of my friends is using them right now and is very happy.
