I am carrying an umbrella for my puppy to potty. This little thing doesn't like getting wet. Any suggestions?

My puppys were the same way...if they refused to go potty in the rain...i would just confine them to the kitchen with some newspaper...until they went...or I crated them...then tried later..

I guess it was a silly question because this little thing is going outside, rain or no rain. lol
I am getting a crate for him because he is alone too much and likes to chew things. I don't know why I hadn't gotten one already.

I seem to have forgotten everything about puppies. I've been reacting to things instead of being proactive. But, after a shopping trip today, it should be better.

I have found crating to be a pro-active good thing...my Austin does not like his crate but he is to destructive to not be in it when we are not home. Zelda is good though, and she will go in without provoking.

Poor Diesel....him just not wanna get wet mommy!! You know hes going to come back in and lay his sweet little wet puppy face on your feet and go to sleep!

This brings back memories. My sister had a doberman that absolutely HATED the rain! They finally figured out - after trying the raincoat & several other options - that it was his feet getting wet that he hated. He wouldn't let them dry his feet until they tried putting little boots on his feet (I know, weird!). They finally told him it was either the boots or the towel, so after that they had to dry off his feet as soon as he came in. Who says dogs aren't smart?!?!?
