Oh!! I have one more day of work.. But I will leave on Friday morning and be there in 2 hours!!![]()
We typically stay in Moderate resorts, but stayed one night at YC between a longer stay at CBR and a 3 night cruise on the Dream. Y/BC has also been our dream resort due to SB. We couldn't wait to give it a try. We were excited to spend the whole day at SB and then utilize the fact that Epcot was so close. We had a truly fantastic day. We chose YC over BC because I have repeatedly heard it was quieter and each room has a balcony. We loved the location of our room at YC (2nd floor, garden view...close to the main lobby...maybe about 5 or 6 rooms down)....EXCEPT for one thing. The neighbors next to us in the adjoining room...were God-awful loud. We have 8 year olds and they know to be quiet and have since they were very young, especially early in the morning. These people were brutal. We couldn't believe how thin the walls seem there. We have only experienced this level of inconsideration once and that was at Pop...we chalked that up to "you get what you pay for."
SO... My question is... Have you experienced this at YC? Are the walls just thin in general? We loved the resort so much, we would like to stay the entire week there, but DH is hesitant for that reason alone. If we were staying longer, I would've asked to be switched, but since it was a one night stay, we had to make do. I'd love to hear your thoughts...TIA!
According to the WDW website, there are Yacht Club Club level rooms with the roll in shower. If you check the "Accessible" box, it will provide a list of all the accessible rooms.
I know that the BCV's have at least one studio with the roll in shower.
As far as noise goes, we haven't had a lot of problems with noisy neighbors at the YC/BC. . But occasionally we have heard our neighbors. I'm not sure if the walls at the YC/BC are thinner the the other Disney resorts though.
Sue - Thank you for the tip about the inflatable pool noodles! I just bought a six pack to take with us for our trip in September! These will be great for floating around on hot afternoons![]()

Someone suggested that one way to get noisy neighbors to be quiet is to stand next to the wall and yell something like "I can hear every single word the next door neighbors are saying." Or something to that effect. Hopefully they will get the hint and tone it down. After all, it is a deluxe resort and people should be expected to be courteous.
does anyone know how much the normal pool noodles are to buy at Disney? Not sure we can get 4 in our case!
Thanks
Only disappointment was when we went over to Ohana's for dinner. They took away the salad. They no longer also have chicken skewers. They changed the noodles ... Lily wouldn't eat them and they were her favorite food!!!
Back from a magical stay at Fort Wilderness in the Cabins. Had a wonderful time there. Housekeeping perfect, restaurants wonderful.

Very very disappointed. We will not be back.
Highlight was breakfast at Trail's End!! Jeanne said she would drive two hours for that breakfast any time!
