I am so going to check out those candles on Etsy today ;)

Has anyone been recently who can report what time Ale and Compass opens in the morning??

Also, I am so buying one of those candles! I am a firm believer that Bath and Body Works Rainkissed Leaves is a spot-on Beach Club Lobby scent. I realize it has been discontinued in stores, but you can still buy it online. I just purchased 12 bottles of the soap and three of the lotions so I can slather it on wherever I am and feel like I'm at the BC. Boy that sounds kind of weird!!

Hey DawnMaree, can I please borrow your Butler next week? I promise I'll show him a good time! Wink wink! I've been known to entertain a certain pirate in the hot tub at SAB on previous trips. Cough cough....JD.......I'll be sure to ply your Phantom with plenty of Sunken Treasures. OK?

Broken Pinky Toe Daughter Update: we found out yesterday that not only does she have a broken pinky toe but she also has two stress fractures in her foot. The doctor gave her a post-op shoe to wear but my crazy daughter prefers the big clunky walking boot. Swimming isn't forbidden but she needs to be careful because if she hits her foot on something it's going to hurt like a son of a biscuit. Megan says her foot feels better in the boot than not wearing it so the confirmation that she still needs walking apparatus isn't shocking. She is a junior bridesmaid in my SIL's wedding on June 28. I'm petrified to try and squeeze her foot into a fancy shoe with her injury.

Happy Friday!!!!!! 5 days until we leave and 6 until we are at BC!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!

Rainkissed Leaves is my favorite scent! And I agree......it totally brings me back to the BC lobby! Is it on sale yet? I usually stock up on it during their big June/December sale.

I'm very reluctant to let you borrow my Butler, but I guess so. Treat him well and have him save my beach chair for me when I arrive at the end of June.

I hope your daughter heals fast. I wouldn't push her foot into a fancy shoe. I've broken my foot before (and toe). It's really about comfort when trying to heal with the toes especially. Are you able to get a different pair of shoes for her? I would hope so...

Just found a "store" on ETSY that sells Disney scented candles…I just bought "Beach and Yacht Club" scent! Can't wait to see if it can tide me over until Sept 24th when I smell the real deal!!!:beach:

I just ordered some from ETSY too! I hope it smells just like it. I am obsessed with Bath & Body Works Rainkissed Leaves! Smells amazing!! :)

I can't even tell you how excited I am to stay here. This is just my dream resort... the whole package....location, decor, atmosphere and that awesome pool!

Check out this link- views at the Beach and Yacht Club by view category

look at the last couple of pages, too, I can't remember if I have linked all of the posts there yet.

What will the view from my room be?

Effective with reservations on January 1, 2011, the view categories at the Beach and Yacht Clubs were reclassified into 3 booking categories:

Standard view- parking lot or rooftops
Garden view- something green- trees or courtyard
Lagoon or Water view- lake or pool

I started up two View Threads in the Resort Photo Subforum:

Beach Club Room Views

Yacht Club Room Views

The purpose of these threads is to give some samples of rooms in various view categories (standard, garden, lagoon/pool) at the Yacht and Beach Clubs.

.

Thanks I've been going through this thread and all the links. I was joking about the dumpster views, since I had seen that one "worst view ever" in the views thread. We're just super excited to be in the Epcot/studios area. We own DVC and our home is Boardwalk and since we were out of points decided we'd like to head across the lake and have access to storm along bay!

I'm sorry I never post anything but thank you so much for this incredible thread! We leave today for 2 nights at my sister's in Dallas. All 13 of us are meeting there then fly out Sun 7:30. I can not wait to check in at Beach Club in about 49 hours! My husband and I rented points at BCV, Nov 2010 but besides that we have always stayed at the value or moderates. I can not wait for my official deluxe stay! I'm so anxious to get there and find out where our rooms are. We booked garden view and the only request we made was for the 5 rooms to be located together. Fingers crossed!

School is finally out, I got checked out and ready for summer break.:cool1::cool1:
1 week from today we are off:woohoo::woohoo:
Starting with a 3 night stay at the :darth: darkside.
Then hitting the Mother Land and
5 glorious nights at the Beach Club!:dance3: :yay::jumping1:party:

Hope to get to say howdy to the infamous Teena on Monday. :wave2:

Thank you to everyone who has made these threads so fun and informative
I can't wait to get there!

See ya all soon

So, it's definitely not available in the stores right now? Is it gone forever or will it be back? Never heard of it but I'd love to try to find it.

You'll have to let us know if they can get your family all together. It sounds like a great family vacation. :goodvibes

At the airport boarding our flight. Can't wait to get to the Beach Club!!!!!!!!!!!

Give us an update if you can. We love to hear about people's trips to the BC/YC. :)

Where are you staying for the "Dark Side" portion of your trip? I have been to both Portofino (liked it) and Hard Rock (LOVED IT)

:)

We stayed at Hard Rock for 4 nights in the past and loved it. DH is a musician and the kids loved the pool! However, we are considering Portofino or Royal Pacific for this stay. I'm leaning towards Portofino because Royal Pacific is our most likely choice when we take the kids in 2015 and DH loves Italian food, though we LOVE the HRH pool!

It will probably come down to best rate with Annual Passholder discount and a King sized room category, since I know we'll be going back within the year and DH and I would prefer a room with one king sized bed. Right now, that's looking like Royal Pacific, but I haven't 100% decided yet, so you could sway me to Portofino!

me again - just wanted to say thanks to those who recomended crews cup lounge. we ate there last night - quiet , cool and food was great as was the service .

i thought today was going to be a dtd morning but played mini golf instead - lunch on the boardwalk (salad at the bakery with grilled chicken , cranberries etc - yum). then epcot for our afternoon fastpasses . lightnining canceled our SAB plans. dinner at captains grill in a little while then back to epcot for evening emh .

we can see the high illuminations fire works from our balcony but i hope to catch the whole show inside tonight .

Could someone staying check and see if the refillable mug station has seltzer?

I had to go to the Rix Lounge bar at CSR my last trip every time I wanted seltzer. I imagine I would need to do the same at YC or BC. Where would I go in each resort?

We like to drink seltzer and going to a bar every time was pretty tedious.

I only saw water levers but not the highly coveted "soda" lever at CSR.

Wonder if deluxe resorts have more variety in that respect.

I've stayed at all three in the past few years - HRH in November, RPR and PBH in July.

Getting from RPR and PBH to WWoHP-Hoggsmeade just about killed me. It was so hot... and so far to go... even taking the boat, it still felt far. This was early evening for events at WWoHP, not mid-day.

Getting from HRH to IOA or UO was a pleasure. Now admittedly, it was November so it was much cooler and less humid.

If your main reason for being there is to go to the theme parks, then I would definitely choose HRH.

If you plan to spend a lot of time at the resort, I know PBH has a great reputation, but I wasn't all that impressed. The beautiful part is that courtyard/shop/restaurant area near the water. If you're inside the hotel, you might see that part for 10 seconds a day when you glance out a window while walking by. I personally didn't think PBH was any nicer than RPR.

So my first choice would be HRH. My second choice would be whichever is cheaper (PBH or RPR). I haven't stayed at the new Cabana Bay yet, so I don't know how that would factor into my decision.
