I like your top 10 lists!
Hopefully flying with the baby won't be bad. When we flew with DS he was 20 months. He actually did quite well. He was all (and still is) about being with Daddy so my DH actually had him most of the time. We were lucky to get an open seat next to my DH on the way to MCO so DS had a seat. On the way back he was a lap baby.

Do you think we you take the DVC tour? We did in May and got to take advantage of a $100 GC!

Joining in from my PTR fellow WNY (and fellow Disney obsessive)!

So, I guess a couple of things I would note...like your ADRs, there's a couple of favorites of ours on their. We've been to Coral Reef twice, and had a great meal both times. It gets trashed a lot in reviews, but we really enjoyed it. We ate LUNCH at LTT a few years ago because they had this desert back then grilled pound cake - ooooh yummy. I've heard they got rid of it, though. Not sure if you are aware, but they no longer have the characters for dinner. Without the characters, I can't be bothered with a Thanksgiving-type meal, NOT my favorite.

Crystal Palace is a family favorite...we love lunch/dinner there, and also enjoyed breakfast. We've been every single trip (except our April mini-trip) and will be there come October.

As far as the Airtran flight - I guess myself, I would probably just leave it be with the 6:50 AM flight. That is already WAAYYY too early to be getting to the airport, and the hour earlier flight only gains you an hour and a half in which you aren't going to the parks anyways. That said, it sounds like you might be at the airport that early anyways? So, I supposed if I was going to be there anyways I would try and do it. You shouldn't have a problem with ME and your luggage, as long as you put the yellow tags on your bags, give ME your bag claim tickets and let them know the # of bags. Your bags can get messed up whether you change flights or not. We always pack enough clothes for the full day and night in our carry-ons anyways.

As far as flying with your son - I am not sure if he is just 1 or closer to 1.5, we've flown with our DD7 a ton (about 3 times a year)...the worst age was 1.5 to 2.5, because they have become so mobile but don't yet understand "you have to sit still". With her, we would just bring lots of things to occupy her. We found a mini-DVD player worked wonders. She could sit and watch movies for hours. Don't know if this works for your son. Keep him occupied is the best I can say. Don't think I would be brave enough to go to Disney with a 1-year old.

Recommend also bringing liquid tylenol / benadryl on the plane. Airport screeners will let you bring regular size bottles (in a plastic baggie). Our DD, when she was 2.5, spiked a really bad fever on a plane back from Arizona. We actually had the medicines but had forgotten the dosing syringe (she refused to drink from a cup) and she was fine when she got on the plane, but within 2 hours had spiked 103 fever. We wanted to get a syringe out of the plane's first aid kit, but they had to call for permission from the ground and it took forever. Luckily, there was a nurse sitting right in front of us who helped us through it, but it was a scary flight...so I now always tell parents make sure to have these things.

Though we have no problem going out without DD, we only did it once for a nice dinner / fireworks at Cali Grille. We wanted to get to Jellyrolls (dueling piano bar) on the Boardwalk, but were too tired every night. We won't be doing this next trip either, as we don't have a grandparent with us...even though the hotel we are staying at has a daycare, I don't want DD staying up that late!

Final thought, love your Top Ten list idea. I think I'll steal it for my TR! Gotta go get ready for work!

Welcome and thanks for joining! You have some great tips to offer about flying with a baby! He will be 17 months, and I will bring Tylenol and benedyrl with me for sure. Great advice! I always bring both but may not have put them in carry on. My DS 7 needs benedryl for his eczema so we keep it handy. I am working with him to learn to drink from a straw so I do not have to carry sippy cups everywhere! My older son was a very easy going baby, easily entertained by a video and would sleep in his stoller when tired. NOT so with Craig, he has no interest in videos, needs to be moving and will only sleep in his crib for a nap! SOOOOOO he will either be so tired he will crash or we will spend every afternoon at the hotel with a nap He may surprise us all!
I am nervous about taking him so young as well, but fingers crossed and knowing we just have to roll with it with him.
LTT is a fav, we know they dropped the characters but we are going to try it this trip. Hopefully we still love it. It is hard to remember if it was just that good or if the characters pushed it to great. (they were in Halloween costumes when we were there!)
I check the flight daily (this is just an exercise in frustration because we are so far out), they have lots of open seats.

Up next my DH made a list!!! His list makes the rest of my family look self centered! He really put thought into it. Home-run with his list..

We went to LTT on our honeymoon and loved it! It's been 14 years and I don't think we've been back to it. But I'm thinking of going this time, maybe for lunch. $29.99 is too steep for me when on the CS dining plan, and there aren't characters anymore. DH wants to plan a couple sit down breakfasts, so I'm hoping for some sort of lunch with mashed potatoes or something. You know, not fries and burgers like we'll probably be eating a lot of.

Fun to hear you talking matching shirts. DH is all about making sure I have the boys matching, and probably us right along with them. You know, I may check out some iron-ons now that I think about it. I can get very inexpensive T's to put them on. Hmmmmm.....

If you are planning a couple of sit down breakfast meals with characters it may be better to upgrade for the $10.00 a day, you will easily spend that at character meals. Just a thought, kids will be even cheaper. (esp kids can eat the same at character buffets and places like LLT).
I am hoping that our love of LTT was not just a character interest, we will find out this trip!

We are leaving Rochester 9/22/10 at 6:50 am (not soon enough) and staying at POP through 10/1/10! After reading your PTR (or alot of it 66 pages was too much to catch up on in one afternoon, I can pick you out of a crowd with all of your pics of clothes!

Ok so the hustle and bustle of the fourth is done....Now what? Back to Disney obsession!
I said to my husband last night: "I have been looking at reviews of Kona for breakfast and REALLY want to try it. It would have to be OOP."
My DH says: "Well when do you want to go!"
YESSSS! He is not a breakfast person, so score for me. I made ADR fot 8am on our last day before we catch our flight. OOP is not bad, the prices are reasonable for Disney, and it is payday for me.
Those pics I have seen of Tonga Toast make me want to go buy a ticket and leave NOW!

You will find the Tonga Toast gets either GREAT reviews, or TERRIBLE ones. Some people think it's the greatest thing ever made (me being one of them!) and other's think it's just way too sweet to be enjoyable. I absolutely love it and can't wait to eat it again in October!

This lead me to thinking about Disney (like there is anything else). I have always loved going to WDW and so has my DH. I have had many wonderful trips to the place. The last trip was the first taking my DS then 5, what a whole new experience! Yes more planning and remembering to rest, but the joy in his eyes brings tears to mine!
I treasure this trip in seeing him more excited because this time he knows how great it is, and looking at my 1 year old as he takes everything in!

The Enchanted Tiki Room (Tropical Serenade) was a HUGE favorite as a kid. I had (and still have) a LP record of that show. Hate is not a strong enough word to describe my feelings for the new show - I think loathe might be closer. Don't know if you've seen it, but it is particularly tortuous because it starts out the same for about 1 minute, and then Iago shows up...ugh. I have over the years gotten to the point that I can stand the show because (1) there are several nods to the original throughout the show and I spend my time looking for them and (2) the Imagineers were given the choice of closing the show or re-doing it, so I guess and awful Tiki Birds is better than NO Tiki Birds. I want to visit Disneyland some day for the sole purpose of seeing the original show, which still plays at Disneyland.

The only other closure that hit me as hard was the Adventure's Club @ PI. Probably my favorite thing in the world (Not WDW, the whole wide world), though I used to rank it #3. As Joni Mitchell once said "You don't know what you got 'til its gone."

My current top ten looks very similar to yours, this is in order:

I have to justify some . Normally Kali would not be there but I really am not a fan of AK overall, so this is a ride that my son likes and we all go on there. Grizzly run is better!
Space Mountain is classified as lame because as a kid I thought it was the BOMB! As an adult it doesn't live up to the same thrill as the memory! I love Roller Coasters, most of Disney's coasters are not out of this world. But they are at Disney!
Don't know if you have ever been to Seabreeze (maybe if you have family in Irondequoit) but the Bobsleds remind me of space mountain but not in the dark. I could have also listed CoP as a fav and Bear Jamboree, but I ran out of numbers! I still like the Tiki Room, even with the changes. I miss 20,000 leagues under the sea, that was a cool ride as a kid!!
