"There’s NO Sleeping in Disney!” SURPRISE - The Frumps Are Back Again! UPDATE 1/13

okay so work got in my way, but I'm back and I'm all caught up!! Love the updates and still loving your videos! Those food photos look amazing, I'm making a huge list to give my mum when we go back next year, I may definitely have to try that bread though, I'm a little obsessed with good bread!! Mmm you've made me so hungry just thinking about it!! :goodvibes

PS your phone cover is amazing. Love it! Wish I had an iphone now! :)

Oh my gosh Jess, I just took two pages of notes for the comments I want to make. Please forgive me in advance.

Okay here we go..alllll the way back to check in! I love that you two softened up the CM. How could she not love you? YAY for getting moved close to Kristen!

I am just like Nat- I inhale all my food. I've always been that way. My best friend (oddly enough, her name is Jessy) gets onto me about it constantly, but I can't help myself! :guilty:

Okay, I am a super huge nerd but I bawled my eyes out when I saw Mission: Surprise the Frump. That was so sweet! What a wonderful surprise for Kristen! I've already watched that video like five times and I can't stop getting misty eyed! :lovestruc

I love the Zurg photo! Everyone's expressions are priceless! :rotfl:

I LOVE Roz from Monster's Inc. When I was in college I worked during the summer at a Blockbuster Video and there used to be this lady who rented videos all the time who looked EXACTLY like Roz. I accidently called her that to her face once, but thankfully she didn't catch the reference.

The Splash Mountain pic is GREAT! :thumbsup2

Haha having to use a credit card for water...only at Disney!

I have been cracking up at the frumps at 3am. PARTY LIKE A MAN! :lmao:

Wow, that picture of you in front of the flowers at Epcot is gorgeous! I love it!

Ugh, I hate that Starring Rolls closes so early. That has been the cause of many a disappointment for me!

I remember that Hakuna Matata skit from your last TR. Adorable!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE Thomas Kinkade. I desperately want one of his Disney paintings to hang over my mantle in my new house!

I've ridden GMR about a million times and I've only gotten the cowboy ONCE. What is up with that?! :confused3

The interaction with Buzz and Woody was priceless! Nat was too precious!

Sorry to be rude, but that bus driver who yelled at you needs to get the memo. If you don't like flash photography maaaybe you shouldn't work at Disney, buddy.

I LOVE YOUR CANDY CORN NAILS!

That's awesome that you got Test Track FPs! Good thing Kristen left her sunglasses in the barf bag!

I can't read the next comment I wanted to make in my notes because I was scribbling frantically...

Anyway, All of your Coronado Springs pictures are AMAZING. They need to hire you as a photographer because that makes me want to stay there!

Okay, last comment- I could not stop laughing at The Bread!! :lmao:

Ahh two updates in a row!!

Thank you, Thank you. - takes bow -

Your pictures are gorgeous. Again. Seriously they're so bright and amazing!!

Aww thank you! (thank you iPhoto... LOL)

WE SHOULD GO TO ROADHOUSE WHEN YOU'RE HOME!!! Seriously though.

......YES I WANT THE BREAD!!!

UMM I like you how you bolded and capitalized "The Bread." You crack me up. :rotfl2:

whaaaat? it was necessary. ;)

BAHAHAH The Butter.

yum.

I'm like...that little girl is me in another life.

Me too.

Oh no. Never enough about the bread!

I'm sorry. I probably should have continued.

MMM food. It's all so delicious. I'm hungry. -looks in pantry- Nope. No Disney food here. Losing weight is on the horzion!

LOL yeah.... gaining weight in on the horizon for me. 41 days until i explode!!!

Kona could hire you to advertise!! :thumbsup2

They should. "Come to Kona... for THE BREAD.

Where did you find the Chime tone to the Monorail? Sounds like a fun tone.

I downloaded some monorail loops... from http://simpledisneythings.tumblr.com/music2 ... and then i used myxer.com to make a ringtone :)

okay so work got in my way, but I'm back and I'm all caught up!!

YAY welcome back! Thank you so much! Hahaha making a list is a good idea! It's hard to keep track of all of the goodness! You would LOVE the bread... make sure you go to Kona!
And LOL thank you. The first time I saw that iPhone cover it basically convinced me to get an iPhone. :rotfl:

Oh my gosh Jess, I just took two pages of notes for the comments I want to make. Please forgive me in advance.

Hahaha don't even worry! I love it! That's totally something I would do. :lmao: I'm so glad you're back!!

Okay here we go..alllll the way back to check in! I love that you two softened up the CM. How could she not love you? YAY for getting moved close to Kristen!

WOOHOO! Memories... lol. Yeah I'm glad she liked us and everything worked out! That was great!!

I am just like Nat- I inhale all my food. I've always been that way. My best friend (oddly enough, her name is Jessy) gets onto me about it constantly, but I can't help myself! :guilty:

LOL that's so funny! I know it's so hard not to eat fast! I do it too... but not as bad as Nat. And haha that's funny about your friend being named Jessy :p What a coincidence!!

Okay, I am a super huge nerd but I bawled my eyes out when I saw Mission: Surprise the Frump. That was so sweet! What a wonderful surprise for Kristen! I've already watched that video like five times and I can't stop getting misty eyed! :lovestruc

Awww! Don't worry I was DEFINITELY tearing up when I edited that part. Even for days after I'd watch it again and I'd get all choked up. It was such a great moment! Aww I'm so glad you liked that video!!

I love the Zurg photo! Everyone's expressions are priceless! :rotfl:

Why thank you. :lmao:

I LOVE Roz from Monster's Inc. When I was in college I worked during the summer at a Blockbuster Video and there used to be this lady who rented videos all the time who looked EXACTLY like Roz. I accidently called her that to her face once, but thankfully she didn't catch the reference.

Oh my gosh that's SO funny! Thank goodness she didn't notice hahaha

The Splash Mountain pic is GREAT! :thumbsup2

Thank you!

Haha having to use a credit card for water...only at Disney!

Of course!! They have all of the high tech equipment nowadays. :p

I have been cracking up at the frumps at 3am. PARTY LIKE A MAN! :lmao:

Oh my God SO funny. We were delirious. We saw the phrase "Party Like A Man" on some guy's shirt... so we kept saying it all night. It really makes no sense in the video... and I don't think I mentioned that in the TR... but yeah that's the story behind that saying LOL

Wow, that picture of you in front of the flowers at Epcot is gorgeous! I love it!

Aww thanks!

Ugh, I hate that Starring Rolls closes so early. That has been the cause of many a disappointment for me!

I know!! It's so sad! And I always forget that it closes early, too. I will remember next time though!

I remember that Hakuna Matata skit from your last TR. Adorable!

Oh thank you! Such good times.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE Thomas Kinkade. I desperately want one of his Disney paintings to hang over my mantle in my new house!

Aren't they BEAUTIFUL!? I know.. I want one for my future house too!

I've ridden GMR about a million times and I've only gotten the cowboy ONCE. What is up with that?! :confused3

That's crazy!! I know, I've never gotten it. Maybe one day!

The interaction with Buzz and Woody was priceless! Nat was too precious!

Aww thanks! That was one of my favorite moments of the entire trip!

Sorry to be rude, but that bus driver who yelled at you needs to get the memo. If you don't like flash photography maaaybe you shouldn't work at Disney, buddy.

That's what I say!! Seriously. Grouchy, grouchy, grouchy.

I LOVE YOUR CANDY CORN NAILS!

THANK YOU! I loved that idea!

That's awesome that you got Test Track FPs! Good thing Kristen left her sunglasses in the barf bag!

I know!! Everything happens for a reason I guess!

I can't read the next comment I wanted to make in my notes because I was scribbling frantically...

LOL it's okay! :p

Anyway, All of your Coronado Springs pictures are AMAZING. They need to hire you as a photographer because that makes me want to stay there!

Thank you so much! And ahh I'd love that. If only! :cloud9:

Okay, last comment- I could not stop laughing at The Bread!! :lmao:

BAHAHA I'm glad you enjoyed that part. :rotfl2:

Ah, you're trip is looking so fun! I have to say that the bread in Disney is always the best break, and I'm sure that Kona is no different. I'm going to have to take your word for it and get some the next time I am in the area!

Also, your nails are fabulous. I wish I had the patience, or the ability to no pick it off! :rotfl:

One thing that I am especially loving about your report is the pictures! YOUR CAMERA IS FANTASTIC! If you don't mind me asking, what kind is it?! Mine kinda bit the dust, so I am looking to get a new one before my upcoming trip! I am hoping that some black friday deals come my way. But not the point. Yours is wonderful and I would love to know what kind it is!

Can't wait to read more! :)

I hope you find it! :)
I can't wait to go there and experience! I will definitely be reporting back to you guys on EVERYTHING! This Christmas trip is going to be unbelivable i can't even wait!!! THE NUMBER WENT DOWN AGAIN!! 42 AND 34!!:banana:
I would DEFINITELY recommend getting DVC. If you're going to go on a regular basis anyway.. you're overall going to save a lot of money AND you get to stay in the best resorts. It's basically just prepaying for your vacations. Well worth it in my opinion. :thumbsup2
Hahaha that's fine! I'd love to talk to any of my readers! I wonder if anyone actually recognizes me in the parks when I'm there. Probably not LOL
Exactly! I'm sure you'll have fun no matter where you're staying!
Hahaha I'm so glad you appreciate the word "frump" now :) Much different than your original idea of it... but that would actually work too! :rotfl: It can be used for everything!

I bet that is gonna be one awesome TR! Would ya look at that?! 33 and 41 now! MOVIN' RIGHT ALONG!!! Yessss! :santa: CHRISTMAS. Haha!
Oh man. I'm totally doing DVC one day. Unless I become a cast member, which let's face it, is GOING to have to happen. Then my parents can do DVC to visit me.
I bet they do! There's bound to be some lurky-loos out there who, since they are indeed lurking, would feel awkward talking to you. I however, would not. Haha! One of these days, there's gonna need to be a big DIS party at Magic Kingdom or something. I just think that'd be awesome.
Believe it or not, I actually have been describing things as frumpy lately! It's amazing how fast I pick up on things I tell ya!

Ahh! Ok so I hadn't gotten the chance to comment on this TR yet because I've been soo behind and I wanted to wait until I was all caught up! I seriously love your trip reports so much! :lovestruc I've been reading a couple pages of yours every night before bed and you guys were in my dream the other night! hahahaha I know that might be creepy but it was so funny! I was with you guys in a Coronado Springs room and we were getting ready to go to the parks and freshening up a bit and you pulled out a deodorant that was Disney Princess themed and you were like "this is how you smell like a princess even on the super hot days in Disney!" And I was soo jealous! hahahaha but oh my gosh, I was at Disney and staying at Coronado August 14th-18th! How funny! Too bad I wasn't there one day later...I seriously would have had a conniption if I ran into you guys! But I totally know what you're talking about with the heat making touring the World Showcase hard! We broke it up over two days and I seriously felt like I was melting! But anyways, thanks for the pleasant distraction from homework!

Then......

the best moment of my life happened.

I GOT...

TO EAT...

THE BREAD!

dsc0541ss.jpg

OH MY LORD IN HEAVEN this is THE BEST BREAD I have ever eaten in my entire life!!

After reading this post and the subsequent comments, I just made an ADR at Kona for our trip (3 weeks away!!!!)...

Thought I'd tell you I got accepted to the College Program today! I'll be doing Main Entrance Operations for Spring 2012.

I have definitely become an advocate of pool time on recent trips. It's a great way to relax and cool down when it's hot.

You are so right about the Kona bread. I love bread. I could eat only that for dinner and be completely satisfied.

P.S. Love the phone case. I got one for my mom on my recent trip. A limited edition of the castle with the dream lights! :lovestruc

Thank you! Ahh you MUST try the Kona bread - it's the best!!
Thank you so much! Hahaha Nat does that too.. she sometimes even picks them off in her sleep :rotfl:
My camera is a Nikon D3100. I also use iPhoto... which really enhances the quality. I hope I don't overdo it with that but I think they're really pretty :) But thanks I'm glad you like my pictures!
Thanks for reading!

I bet that is gonna be one awesome TR! Would ya look at that?! 33 and 41 now! MOVIN' RIGHT ALONG!!! Yessss! :santa: CHRISTMAS. Haha!

Believe it or not, I actually have been describing things as frumpy lately! It's amazing how fast I pick up on things I tell ya!

Omg YEAH it will. I can't even imagine how amazing it's going to be!
And umm MOVING RIGHT ALONG EVEN MORE!! I have 38 so you must have... (doing math)... 30!?! AHHHH SO SOON!
Either way you really can't go wrong.
Hahaha I love when lurkers post so I hope no one feels awkward!
I do too!
I'm so glad frump has made it's way into your everyday vocabulary. :thumbsup2

Hahaha were we really?! That's SO funny! I always dream about people and I find it creepy when I tell them... but it's not. It's totally normal! You must have just been so immersed in the trip report that you felt like you were there!
OH MY GOD DISNEY PRINCESS DEODORANT HAHAHAHAHA the thing is that i TOTALLY would do and say something like that exactly. That is SO funny!!!
Were you really!? Omg well you were there when Kristen was at least! That's so funny it's too bad we didn't run into you!
Yeah right?! ugh WS is just too hot. I'm excited to go in December so I can actually breathe when I'm there. :rotfl:
And aww you're welcome! Thanks for reading!

After reading this post and the subsequent comments, I just made an ADR at Kona for our trip (3 weeks away!!!!)...

YAYYYY You're absolutely going to LOVE it! :) Let me know how it goes! And EEEE 3 WEEKS! Have a magical time!

Thought I'd tell you I got accepted to the College Program today! I'll be doing Main Entrance Operations for Spring 2012.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is SO incredibly exciting!!! Let me know how it all goes... I'm thinking of applying for the Fall potentially so I'd love to hear about your experience!

:lovestruc

It's really the only way to go. Or else I don't think I'd make it through the day! Thank God for the pool!
And ME TOO! It's the best.
Aww thank you! Omg that sounds so pretty! I bet she loves it!

That's okay! And ahh I know I write updates so frequently. If I ever go too fast just let me know!

Haha, not too fast! More like I'm too slow! And then I see that there's like a lot of other comments to go through and I get lazy.

I would go back in the summer... but nothing really stops me from going there. If that's really the only time you can go, then I would do it. However, I'd probably choose another time of year over it. It's very hot!

Would that change when you do your CP program? It seems like a fall semester CP would have slightly better weather than spring/summer (also Christmas!).

I use iPhoto, yeah! I hope they don't look too fake But I like them. I can't seem to get the hang of photoshop... there are too many options. So I use iPhoto instead... it's much simpler! But I know.. I always have that debate of which version I like better.
And yeah the grass in Disney is very green! I like it. Florida has weird grass though haha.

If you shoot in RAW it gets a little easier - I have photoshop set as the default program for raw files on my mac. When they open up in photoshop you can adjust exposure, saturation, etc. (I'm explaining this poorly, I haven't opened it up for a bit). There's an auto function as well, so I usually do the auto adjustment, note the changes, then do an undo and fiddle around with the different things. My problem is that I tend towards muted colors (see: my entire wardrobe of gray, white, navy, and black) and never think to do really bright pictures like that!

I hope you love your meal!! Oh no! I'm sorry your car stole your bread. That's just not right!
To be fair, the cat had just given birth a couple weeks before. Post-pregnancy cravings, maybe?

I think it's actually wooden. They're supposed to be like tiki statues I think.. so that could be why they're a little creepy.

Wood makes more sense! I was picturing them recarving blocks of chocolate to look like Lilo and Stitch nightly. :rotfl: I think it's the eyes.. not that I'm an expert on wood carving! Some of the dimension in the face probably got flattened in the photograph which makes it seem creepier!

Kind of a nosy question, but how often do you usually go to Disney? I just saw the link to your dining reviews and realized that all of your trips have been within the past year! It seems like a lot of traveling to go 5 times a year, but two of them were with your friends. Getting DVC sounds like a great idea, being able to visit so much.

You have to be getting really excited! I am so ready for my Christmas trip! I am at 31 Days and am pretty much going crazy!
And I love your phone cover! I am considering getting the iphone 4s (Have the droid incredible now)... Is there a lot of disney world apps on the iphone?

I forgot to add!

Lightroom is more user-friendly compared to photoshop, I think. Because it's designed for just photo editing it's easier to find the different options to edit pictures. Plus you can download packages with preset values for different styles of pictures (okay, this is kind of hard to describe but if you google 'lightroom presets' any decent preset site should have an example of a photo with that preset applied). The huge variety of presets is really amazing!

Just a note that I'm just an amateur - and mediocre at that! - at both Lightroom and Photoshop so these were just my impressions :)

New reader here! I lurked one of your older TRs but don't remember if I ever commented. I just want to say I think it's so funny that you love the word "frumpy" because so do I haha. I've thought it was one of the funniest words for years now and it was an inside joke with one of my friends for a while now.

Anyways, you guys are very entertaining! Can't wait for the next part :)

Haha it's okay :p I would just bother reading the updates... that's the important part!
No the CP program would be a totally different decision. It depends on when it would work for me and what's going on in life... the weather doesn't really affect it.
Ah I see! Yeah I have iPhoto set for my pictures. But I like it that way because I have gotten used to the program.
HAHAHA that's probably it. If I was a kitty, I would want school bread post-pregnancy. Heck, no matter what I was I would want school bread. :rotfl:
Well, I don't know. My disney situation differs all of the time. When I was really young, I would go once a year. Then we'd miss a year here and there. Then we started going twice a year. Then I didn't go for an entire year and a half. And then this past year we got annual passes and then kept planning a bunch of impulse trips... As well as our family ones. I don't know. I mean, if I have the opportunity to go, I'm going to go. There is no such thing as too many trips!

You have to be getting really excited! I am so ready for my Christmas trip! I am at 31 Days and am pretty much going crazy!

AHHHH YES I'm freaking out! :) Wow 31 is so soon! I have 36!!
Thank you! Yes there are a lot of Disney Apps for the iPhone! The best one is called "Disney Magic" and it has all of the restaurant menus and park hours listed. It is probably my most used app! :thumbsup2

I forgot to add!

Well welcome back! I'm glad you're hear and enjoying! Hahaha isn't it the best word ever?? I'm glad you guys found it funny too!
Thank you! Thanks for reading! :wizard:

Hey Jess! So I wanted to tell you that I left you a random note on Kara's TR... and I wanted to tell you on here so you will actually see it. I know this probably sounds really odd haha but you'll see why!

Wow what a fun trip. I am enjoying reading about it. I so get all your love for Disney. I get that excited about those things too. I am 41 so I probably look really funny but in Disney it just doesn't matter. I don't get to go as often as I wish. I wish it was at least yearly but it's more like every 3 years. Better than not going I guess?
I have two daughters 20 and 22. Both are already moms but I wish that they had the chance to do a fun girls trip before that happen. Oh well it is what it is.
Looking froward to reading more and see some great expressions.

Thanks! I have one more question... Do you put your disney music on your iphone for trips or do you use an ipod?

Okay, I've just gotta come out and say it here... I've totally been lurking for way too long so I just need to come say hi and let you know that I totally love your TRs! I start following this one and then got sad when I caught up so I checked out some of your other TRs and just really enjoy your writing.

You and your friends are so funny! I love how excited you get about WDW for EVERY trip, and definitely enjoy the frump face. Also, you have convinced me that I MUST eat at Sunshine Seasons so I can enjoy that strawberry shortcake! :lovestruc

My husband and I are going on our trip in just 65 days! I'm super pumped; we're doing it as a one year anniversary trip. ANYWAY enough about me, just wanted to finally not be a creepy lurker and let you know I love your TRs and find them to be awesome!

I think one of my favorite moments from all of you TRs was when you guys met Woody and how happy it made your friend. Totally cute and just reminded me that we're all kids at heart, especially when you get to meet your favorite character at Disney World. :)
