Wow 2 updates! How lucky are we?!

The pool time at CSR looked amazinggggg! If you just put those pictures online or showed them to someone who didn't know they were taken in WDW, I guarantee they'd never even know! It looks like a tropical paradise

The monorail makes me happy just looking at pictures of it!

KONAAAAA loveeeeeee it there too! That bread is more delicious than words can describe...my BFF (tinkgurl here on the boards) made the bread and butter for us from one of her Disney cookbooks when we went to visit them over the summer. Soooo yummy! Kona is definitely a must do on every trip!

But the good news is that Sports actually looks really cute, like the surf section. Plus it'll be a new resort for me woo! OK... I seriously just told you my life story and I'm SO sorry... I actually prefer the pool to be warm, no matter how hot it is outside. Otherwise it takes me one hour (literally) to get in the water. Heck, I'll even go in the hot tub in Flordai summer weather. I'm just that weird (and cold).

KONA BREAD!! I LOVE Kona Bread and could seriously just eat that as my whole meal and be completely happy. With the macadamia nut butter of course. Mmmmmmmmm! Even in my queasy-not wanting to eat any food-state I still crave Kona Bread. That's how good it is.

You could write a 5 page essay on Kona Bread and I would happily read it. Funny aside, when we were in high school my friend and I decided to try to write the longest possible essay on the toothbrush, just to see who could babble on the longest about an insignificant subject. I stopped after 3 pages, but my friend made it to 10 pages! Bored teenagers can lead to some very weird things...

Maybe I'll make some for myself over thanksgiving break (even though it won't be as good... it'll tide me over till december.)

I do love that Kona bread, and it's a good thing it is so amazing, because the last time we went to Kona, for some reason it took them 45 minutes to get our entrees (and there were only two of us and the people around us had no trouble getting their food). It kind of turned me off Kona a bit. I do want to go back for breakfast though to try Tonga Toast. I wonder what they would do if I made reservations for dinner, but just ate the bread. Hmm....


I don't think planning your trips based on food is weird at all! I'm planning my first trip to Disneyland for next November, and I'm already stalking all the menus to decide where I want to eat, haha.

Oh no really!? That's awful! I'm sorry you had a slow service experience. That hasn't happened to me at all during the three times I've been there this year.. so maybe it's better now!
I would DEFINITELY go for breakfast. Tonga Toast is like the best thing EVER. You won't be disappointed!

You mayyy have to make a reservation just to try that butter! It's not your typical butter... it's sweet and has macadamia nuts in it and it's fluffy. But HOLY COW it's good! Especially if butter is your nickname... you would probably love it!

Love the pic of all the gals in the various mickey hats. So adorable!

Touring the parks in the summer can be brutal. I always feel like I am melting at AK in the hot sun. And sitting in front of the castle waiting for a parade in the midday sun? Killer.

Midday pool breaks are a MUST in the summer. The only way to make it through til park closing. The best is to have a nice frozen beverage at the pool.

I totally agree with you about Kona and the bread and butter. So incredibly good! I think we always manage to polish off the first loaf in minutes and immediately ask for another. Which we would also polish off if it weren't for the fact that we still had a full meal to get through. I am obsessed with the butter.

Um - is that cotton candy that comes with the ice cream dessert there???!!! i must get that next time because a dessert with ice cream, sprinkles, waffle cone and cotton candy seems just perfect!

Love your pumpkin! I have a lot of friends that get really creative with their pumpkins but I've never been able to make great pumpkin art. Have you ever tried the motorized pumpkin carving knife? We couldn't get it to work nearly as well as normal knives (and then the squirrels/raccoons/coyotes/etc. ate the pumpkin, so it didn't matter anyway!).

That's great that you can visit your friends. Did you go to colleges fairly close together? It seems that my friends and I are either at the same college or living a country apart! I wish I could go and visit them more easily. Cute Halloween costumes

Chapter 15
Disney really has the best names for things. That would be an awesome job (like naming paint colors!). I wonder how you get that job?

I'm so jealous of your interactions! My boyfriend never forgets things (I'm not sure how?? I can remember where I put things, but not always to pick them up), so no nice CMs to help us.

Chapter 16
It's kind of ridiculous how many types of Disney ears there are! They're all cute though!

I've never understood the Disney obsession with chocolate mousse. Is it cheaper to make? Easier to store? Walt Disney's favorite dessert? Why, Disney Corporations, why???

That sucks that it was that hot. I keep thinking it wouldn't be TOO bad to go back in the summer, but since both Animal Kingdom and the World Showcase are so bad for walking around, I don't think I would enjoy it that much. Would you go back in summer? Or pick some other time?

Chapter 17
Ew, grasshoppers. We had a massive swarm here for like three months. It was so gross, they were everywhere. Praying mantises (mantisi?) are way better!

Do you edit your photos? You have such great coloring in this set! I go back and forth since I have photoshop on my school laptop/computer and lightroom on my personal laptop and thus have never really mastered either. And I'm really indecisive about picking a final version! I'm so amazed Disney can get their grass so green because it's never that green out here.

December 18
Monorail time is the best time! I wonder if there is a 'ride the rainbow' game? Or something? It's really late here and I'm getting a little loopy. Maybe I just want a reason to ride all of the monorail trains.

Ha, answered my own question here! I love the Contemporary. So much monorail-y goodness. So many nice white linens.

Yay for bread! Never too much time spent on bread in my opinion! We're eating here on our Christmas trip so I'm glad to hear there's excellent bread to be had (especially since my cat stole and ate my special bread last week. I need a bread pick-me-up). Also that smoothie. Yum! I wish there was more variety in smoothie flavours but that one looks delicious.

That chocolate Lilo and Stitch is kind of creepy. Maybe just the lighting (that reflection?), maybe the influence of the (non-face ) character from the meet'n'greet next door.

That ice cream is intense! Could you finish all of it? I've never thought of cotton candy and ice cream as a nice combo. Did it taste good together?

I'm sorry this is so long! Apparently I have lots of feelings about things! Love your iPhone cover, btw. I have a boring black one that was leftover from my boyfriend's old iPhone. Is it good protection against dropping? I tend to drop my phone in the worst places!

I would DEFINITELY recommend getting DVC. If you're going to go on a regular basis anyway.. you're overall going to save a lot of money AND you get to stay in the best resorts. It's basically just prepaying for your vacations. Well worth it in my opinion.

Halloween
Love your pumpkin! I have a lot of friends that get really creative with their pumpkins but I've never been able to make great pumpkin art. Have you ever tried the motorized pumpkin carving knife? We couldn't get it to work nearly as well as normal knives (and then the squirrels/raccoons/coyotes/etc. ate the pumpkin, so it didn't matter anyway!).

That's great that you can visit your friends. Did you go to colleges fairly close together? It seems that my friends and I are either at the same college or living a country apart! I wish I could go and visit them more easily. Cute Halloween costumes

Yeah I love it! Well Vickie is commuting right now and I'm only an hour away... so I went home that weekend and we drove to our friends' college, which was 3 hours away. That was the only time we've ever really visited.. but it was fun! It doesn't happen super often. Thank you!​

Disney really has the best names for things. That would be an awesome job (like naming paint colors!). I wonder how you get that job?

I'm so jealous of your interactions! My boyfriend never forgets things (I'm not sure how?? I can remember where I put things, but not always to pick them up), so no nice CMs to help us.

It's kind of ridiculous how many types of Disney ears there are! They're all cute though!

I know! And to think those were only like 4 different kinds.... there's like hundreds.​

I've never understood the Disney obsession with chocolate mousse. Is it cheaper to make? Easier to store? Walt Disney's favorite dessert? Why, Disney Corporations, why???

I know, right!? It must be fun to make or something.​

That sucks that it was that hot. I keep thinking it wouldn't be TOO bad to go back in the summer, but since both Animal Kingdom and the World Showcase are so bad for walking around, I don't think I would enjoy it that much. Would you go back in summer? Or pick some other time?

I would go back in the summer... but nothing really stops me from going there. If that's really the only time you can go, then I would do it. However, I'd probably choose another time of year over it. It's very hot!​

Chapter 17
Ew, grasshoppers. We had a massive swarm here for like three months. It was so gross, they were everywhere. Praying mantises (mantisi?) are way better!

Do you edit your photos? You have such great coloring in this set! I go back and forth since I have photoshop on my school laptop/computer and lightroom on my personal laptop and thus have never really mastered either. And I'm really indecisive about picking a final version! I'm so amazed Disney can get their grass so green because it's never that green out here.

I use iPhoto, yeah! I hope they don't look too fake But I like them. I can't seem to get the hang of photoshop... there are too many options. So I use iPhoto instead... it's much simpler! But I know.. I always have that debate of which version I like better.
And yeah the grass in Disney is very green! I like it. Florida has weird grass though haha.​

December 18
Monorail time is the best time! I wonder if there is a 'ride the rainbow' game? Or something? It's really late here and I'm getting a little loopy. Maybe I just want a reason to ride all of the monorail trains.

LOL that's a good reason! I'd do it. Maybe I'll try and keep try track of how many colors of the monorail I go on during my December trip... since I'll be riding it a lot!​

Ha, answered my own question here! I love the Contemporary. So much monorail-y goodness. So many nice white linens.

YES! I'm so excited. I've never stayed there before! Actually, I've barely been in the resort! I always just pass through on the monorail.​

Yay for bread! Never too much time spent on bread in my opinion! We're eating here on our Christmas trip so I'm glad to hear there's excellent bread to be had (especially since my cat stole and ate my special bread last week. I need a bread pick-me-up). Also that smoothie. Yum! I wish there was more variety in smoothie flavours but that one looks delicious.

That chocolate Lilo and Stitch is kind of creepy. Maybe just the lighting (that reflection?), maybe the influence of the (non-face ) character from the meet'n'greet next door.

I think it's actually wooden. They're supposed to be like tiki statues I think.. so that could be why they're a little creepy.​

That ice cream is intense! Could you finish all of it? I've never thought of cotton candy and ice cream as a nice combo. Did it taste good together?

I don't think Nat finished it all after that huge meal! But it was a great dessert. It tasted really together!​

I'm sorry this is so long! Apparently I have lots of feelings about things! Love your iPhone cover, btw. I have a boring black one that was leftover from my boyfriend's old iPhone. Is it good protection against dropping? I tend to drop my phone in the worst places!

LOL that's totally fine! Oh thank you! Yeah it protects it pretty well as of now! I have dropped it quite a few times so it's still holding up! ​
