TheNeverEndingPTR! Sept2010...no, November...WAIT! January?Ugh. maybe September 2011!

Thanks Ann.

Today has just been a bad day. Rey & I are arguing, money is the root of it. How can you argue over something you have none of? Sigh. I'm just feeling sorry for myself, but I'm tired of trying to muddle through the winter and the catching up on bills and it's just really getting to me this afternoon. :sad1:

Oh, been there, done that, made a tshirt to proove it!!! I really do know how it feels --- BELIEVE ME!!! Many times I've robbed Peter to pay Paul! It is not a great way to live! Wish I could help but at the moment I have $30 to my name until Wednesday the 24th payday. I think I'll need some gas for the car before then and Victoria has her bday at Chuck E Cheese with her friend on Saturday. Yeah, paying for that day on the credit card.....bad me, bad, bad, bad!!! :scared1: I'm here to listen as that's all I can do and I really don't mind at all!!!! I miss you guys when you don't post!!!!

Thanks Ann. :goodvibes

I just needed to vent last night, I think. I think the weather is getting to me as well, I need to be able to get outside in the sun! Unfortunately, we have clouds and rain forecasted for the next 4 days or so.

In light of trying to save money, Rey & I talked about doing 2 connecting rooms instead of the family suite. It won't be as nice for us, but since we are planning an Anniversary trip, it's not as big of a deal. I think the boys will enjoy having a separate room and real beds instead of the smaller pullouts.

So, with the money we save on the room and without Eli going, we will be able to upgrade to DDP for free basically. That is if they don't offer DDP for values. If they do, I will be overjoyed b/c then we'll be saving instead of breaking even!

Ok, I need some Disney magic to keep me out of a funk today! How about some fun?!?!?

In Rebecca's PTR, she asked about restaurants and eating, so I thought I would steal the idea and ask a question of my readers (if there are any of you left out there!)

What's your all time favorite attraction at WDW and why? If you haven't been yet, what do you think it will be and why?!?! :lovestruc

I have two....ok, I'm already cheating on my own question! :lmao: Mine are Expedition Everest and Haunted Mansion! EE is b/c I think it's an amazing roller coaster that scares me but doesn't terrify me. The theming is out of this world and like no other coast I have been on. When I rode it with my kids, I felt like a kid again and there's just no better feeling! :lovestruc

WDW2009912a.jpg

I love HM b/c the theming is amazing AND it is such a classic disney ride. I know that ISAM is too, but that makes me want to curl up in the fetal position after a while! :p I love Halloween and all things creepy and HM is perfect! It's not gorey (I can't stand horror) but cute and dark at the same time if that makes any sense!

WDW20092309a.jpg

So tell me what your favorite is or why you think a ride will be your fav once you get there!

I have two, also, actually. I can't pick between HM and PotC, though. They are both awesome, classic rides. I love so many rides, but those two are extra special for me. I've never been to the other parks (until next month, that is!) so I'm not sure... I'm really looking forward to the Kilamanjaro Safari. Oops, I guess I listed three. :rotfl:

I really like POTC too! I think you'll like the safari if you don't mind a bumpy ride! ;)

Wait, you mean there's something more fun than planning?!? :rotfl:

Seriously though, I don't really remember much about my few hours at WDW. Which is wierd because it was in high school and that was like, last year. :rolleyes1

So, I'm going to answer as if I'd never been. The thing I'm looking forward to most is the dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I expect pixie dust and magic that night! :wizard: I think the reason this is at the top of my list is because what I'm truly most excited about is seeing my kids reactions to everything- when I read through my plans I think about what they might say or the look they'll get on their faces and it just gives me the warm fuzzies. :lovestruc

Now, if I was going just for myself, no kids involved, then my answer would be different- World Showcase is definately something I'm looking forward to! I love any opportunity to get lost in another culture. :goodvibes

Sorry for homeschool dates not to work out for you--I am glad you were able to make it work and gain another park day. I went to DisneyQuest on my first go around and while it was fun, I won't miss doing it again. There are things you have to pay for which is not so nice.

To answer your question: My favorite ride is Soarin'!! LOVE  it. I am looking forward to riding new rides with my daughter and seeing her reaction so it may change or lets say Soarin' is my favorite personal ride and I am waiting to see what my favorite ride with DD is going to be!! :goodvibes

Oooooh, I LOVE Soarin' too! My stomach drops and everything, it FEELS like you are flying! So amazing. It will be so fun to see it in a new way through your dd's eyes this year! :lovestruc

I thought I would share what Savannah & I will be doing today! In 2 weeks, on Friday, March 5th, I will be turning 37! OH THE HORROR!

A few months back when we went to the theater to see The Princess & The Frog, I noticed the sign saying that ON MY BIRTHDAY they were releasing the new Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland! I knew right away what we would be doing on my birthday! :woohoo:

One of the amazing DISigners on the DISign board here, Shadowryter (Linda) made me these designs and we are putting them on shirts today!
I love them!

Hope and another friend of ours, Summer, will be going to the movie as well and the boys even said they would like to go! You don't get to see pics of the finished product though until we wear them on the 5th!

I would say my favorite ride is Dinosaur but going to have to skip it this time as I just found out I am expecting baby #3. Oh well, there is always next time!:)

Oh my gosh! Congratulations! And your ticker says your trip is in 2 days?!?!?! How exciting! You must come back and do a TR, I want to hear all about it!

Those shirts are going to be amazing! LOVE- of course what's not to love about wearing Johnny Depp, lol.

Great t-shirts! What a fun birthday that will be. Makes me wish mine was a month earlier. Any new movies coming out on April 28th?

So, the homeschool dates didn't work out- that's a real bummer. I'm glad you didn't have to cancel, though. Now that you've seen how inexpensive it is for you to add that sixth day - why not add a seventh? I saw that you are planning to take the latest flight possible home (are you flying out of Stl?), it might be fun to hit the parks before you leave!

Hmmm, favorite attraction. I don't know if I can narrow it down to just one. I'd have to say my favorite classic attraction is Haunted Mansion, followed closely by POTC. My fave new ride is Soarin', without a doubt. I even love just listening to the soundtrack for that one - totally gets me in a mellow mood.:thumbsup2

Yep, we fly out of STL! My mom and sister still live in STL, and Dallas, Savannah, and myself will spend the night with my mom the night before the flight while Rey & Dylan drive!

I probably won't add another day, I think we will be really tired after the party Friday night and we all will want to take one more trip to DTD to grab any last minute souvenirs!

Oh and I have a change (surprise, surprise!) to my itinerary, I'll have to tell you all about...

I thought I would share what Savannah & I will be doing today! In 2 weeks, on Friday, March 5th, I will be turning 37! OH THE HORROR!

First, I love the signs!

Secondly, I had to tell you that I'm turning 30 on the 7th - just two days later! I'm super duper hoping (check out my ticker I made in light of that hope) that my sister is taking us to Disney next week. She's been planning a surprise birthday trip for me (didn't want there to be anything depressing about turning 30). She's been planning for months, and I don't know where we're headed, but I'm super excited! She wrote on my Facebook page today, "I think you should prepare yourself for the most awesomest, fantastical, humungolungously terrifical week of your life!!! Ok, so maybe I should back off that a little or you might get disappointed! Only 9 more days!!!" Anyway, I just felt a kinship with you since our birthday are so close together!

Third, I think my favorites are Tower of Terror, Soarin', and Jungle Cruise. I love Tower of Terror because of the theming, the fact that each ride is different due to the different drop sequences, and of course, the dropping! I love Soarin' because it's so relaxing, so beautiful, has great music, and the smells are wonderful, too! And last but not least, Jungle Cruise because I am always hopeful of getting a CM with lots of original jokes and fun personality!

donaldsgal, I read about how your sister is taking you on a surprise trip! That would KILL ME! I hope it's WDW, but if it is not, I know you will have a wonderful birthday trip!!!

ToT! I'm afraid! I haven't gotten the nerve up to try it. I hate the falling feeling and I'm afraid I will hate it. I keep going back and forth b/c some people say it doesn't feel like you are falling as much as being pushed up and down? :confused3

All I know is that I about died on RnRC. I knew the takeoff was fast and I put my head back, but I literally felt like I was free-falling from the gforce and it HURT! The rest of the ride was AWESOME! I'll be going on it again, just preparing mentally for that takeoff! I love EE, but the drop on Splash freaks me out a bit too. I think part of that is b/c there's no bar though, and I heard they are putting them in!

So, what's ToT like? Does it feel like Splash Mountain over and over???

You know, that's a good point. On ToT, you fall faster than the speed of gravity, which is accomplished by the cables pulling you at a high rate of speed and then the other cables pulling you back up. So, if that makes you feel any better, you aren't actually falling - your car is secured the whole time!

My cousin didn't like RnRC because of the take-off, but she loved ToT. So maybe you'd be the reverse? I think you could equate it to the drop on Splash, and you do lift up out of your seat a bit. The seat belts are secure, though. Personally, I love it. I'd highly recommend it, and you know, if you hate it, you never have to do it again! There's so much about the ride that's cool - the special effects before you do the falling, the sights of DHS when the elevator doors open just before the fall, etc. I know you can do it!:cheer2: No judgment if you don't, though; some things aren't for everyone!

ETA: If you can handle the intensity of the backwards part on EE, and the big hill on EE, I think you can do ToT.

Soooooo...

I was up in the middle of the night scribbling all over my itinerary and making more changes. I kept trying to put Specto/Wishes on Wednesday night b/c we could sleep in Thursday, but with the TS meals I want, I just couldn't make it fit right. Most of them are long meals where we would be rushed and the only one that isn't like that is Boma...and we were eating at Tusker House for lunch that day! Too much, too much.

So, I moved things around and then I just outright STOLE Hope's idea of taking the river taxi from DTD to Port Orleans French Quarter for dinner at Sassagoula CS! It will be a perfectly relaxing night and...

we can CHECK OUT THE RESORT! Oh yes, while I was looking at pictures of POFQ, I fell in love and decided that if we like it, we MUST stay here as well on our Anniversary trip! I wish you could walk to Epcot like on the Boardwalk and it would be a nearly perfect fit for us!

So, now instead of 4 nights, I want to do a 5 night split stay! :lmao: 3 nights at POFQ and then 2 nights at Boardwalk. It saves SO much money and we get romantic French Quarter as well as the location and Deluxe Boardwalk! :woohoo:

In order to do this on Wednesday night, I had to move my ADR's around and we will go to Park Fare for an early dinner on our first night. It works out better so we don't have 2 days with 2TS. I think that would have been a little much. Wanna see? Well, you don't have to look, but I have to post it anyway, that way when I get confused at all these itineraries, I can come back and figure out which one we're actually doing! :rotfl:
