TheNeverEndingPTR! Sept2010...no, November...WAIT! January?Ugh. maybe September 2011!

Ooh, I've been eyeing the D40. My photographs have really gone downhill since we went digital. I've just never been able to make my point and shoot do what I would like to do. I used to have an old Nikon FM and I loved it. But film is such a hassle now in these days of instant gratification! I may ask my hubby for a DSLR for my bday if its in the budget at that point.

I love my camera, but I already feel like I'm outgrowing it! Maybe that's just part of learning the art of photography. What I really want is to upgrade to a D90. ;)

Rebecca, you are so sweet! I have a Nikon D40, I purchased it last spring. It's an entry level camera, but they say that it's the photographer, not the camera, so I'm learning! :)

I'm so glad you joined my PTR!!! :goodvibes

Yeah, and she won't even fly to Maine to photograph my wedding!!! I'm still pouting!!!!:sad1:

I doubt it, but I know you will be too busy getting ready for Disney! I think I found someone, though.....if they'd ever get back to me. I've noticed that's the one fly in the ointment ---- waiting for people to return calls and/or emails!:confused3

Karen, don't feel bad about posting less. This is your PTR and if you do it out of obligation, it starts to be less fun! Anyway, we're getting another wallop of snow today - 5- 12 inches! My niece's surgery went well, but her mom (my sister) went into a ditch on the way home! :scared1: No damage to her or the car, though, and some nice person got her out in 15 minutes. Anyway, hunker down and dream of Disney! :)

Hmmm, interested in selling it?

Oh Rebecca...it's a definite possibility!!!! Rey was laid off work for the month of January and we are trying to get caught up, but if you are still interested in about 2 months, I would be VERY interested in selling it! Then I could take that money and upgrade to the D90 (but I would have to save up what I would need and that will take me a bit!)

Oh my gosh! I'm glad she's ok. I haven't ventured out today, but I'm getting ready to. I have a petsit and a new client to meet. Luckily I have 4WD, so I do ok in the snow.

I'm feeling better now, I had a productive morning with the kids and then spent about an hour in Dallas's room just talking to him. :lovestruc I love being a mom to teenagers, is that crazy of me?

I KNOW! I planned for it last October, but then dinner at Ohana took over 2 HOURS and we missed it. :sad2: This time I'm giving myself extra time, if we have to walk around Poly for an hour, I don't care. I'm not missing it this time! I'm bringing my tripod too. ;)

Great idea to bring your tripod! I have a gorilla pod so I think I am planning on bringing it too just in case.

How many trips can I plan at once, you ask??? :rolleyes1

I just had to share that Rey & I have been talking and decided that we are going to WDW for our 20th Anniversary next year! :woohoo:

It all started b/c I saw that someone on the DIS got lucky and when they called up, the CM actually let them use a 40% pin off a Deluxe, AND a free dining pin. Of course my mind started racing and I was thinking if I could get them to do that for me (I have both pins) that we could stay at Boardwalk on our trip. Well, after thinking about it, I realized that even staying at a Deluxe doesn't sound that great when it means that all 5 of us are stuffed in 1 room. AND, I think the kids would prefer ASMU.

So, REY started talking about how we could take a 3 night trip and stay at Boardwalk. OMG, I priced it and it is SO doable and affordable?!?! I guess just 2 people makes it way cheaper!

We celebrate 20 years in April next year, but I think we will shoot for February 2011. It will get me out of the cold and it seems like a pretty slow time. I don't even feel guilty leaving my kids to go to WDW b/c it's 20 YEARS and I should be able to go where I want, right?! I figure I will tell Savannah that we are staying at Boardwalk (which she has no interest in) and probably spending the whole time at Epcot (which she also doesn't like too much) so hopefully she won't be too disappointed that mom is headed to WDW without her.

AND (I know, I've gone off the deep end at this point) we will probably use our 1 day base tickets that we get in our Sept. trip and just upgrade them to AP's!!!!!! You know what THAT means! More trips!

Rey is insisting that we still do Vegas as well for our 20th, and that's fine, but WDW is actually cheaper when you take into account the dining plan and how much money Rey thinks we need for gambling! ;)

We're getting ready for our homeschool Valentine's party today, I'll be walking with Hope beforehand! Hopefully I will get some pics and post them too! :lovestruc

You are SUCH a good Disney pusher!!! You really know how to get people hooked, lol. I'm soooo excited for you!

Well, my birthday is in 2 months, so that would be perfect! I seriously am interested, so pm me about it...

Congrats on the Anniversary trip plan! That's awesome! Scott and I went for our 10 year in 2007. We had a blast. But, we did miss the kids a lot, and I don't think we would have lasted more than the 4 days we went for. YC/BC would be divine! Think of the easy access to World Showcase!

Heehee! We don't ever do anything for Valentines Day, I would rather have every day be special, but Rey did give me a gift and he didn't even realize it. We talked today about Boardwalk and our 20th Anniversary trip and he told me that the trip was for me and whatever I wanted (we were talking about club level at BWI!!!!) that I was worth it. :lovestruc

I, however, am not so sure that I'm worth it! LOL. I crunched some numbers and we are going to get AP's during our Sept. trip so that we can get a room discount for our Anniversary trip and already have our tickets!! :cool1: We will definitely pay for a Boardwalk/water view, but club level, even with a discount is pretty unlikely. I'm fine with that though.

AND...this actually does have something to do with THIS PTR...

Since I know we are going back alone, I have taken out our Le Cellier ADR for Sept. and added back in Crystal Palace breakfast! We will go to Le Cellier alone in Feb. 2011!

Yes, I'm totally insane. (I had more written here, but let's face it...That says it all!) :lmao:

Wow Karen that sounds GREAT :banana::banana::banana:!!!!!

Hey PTR's only get better when you make a ton of changes to them (lets see him a few people on here like myself, Pam, Ann,and the list goes on and on LOL!!!)- it keeps us all wanting to read more and exciting. I , mean, if we are all writing our PTR's over 6 months out (we are almost at the 6 month mark :cloud9:), we have to change something every now and then to keep our plans exciting and still have other diser's continue to read our crazy PTR's!!!!!

That's wonderful! Planning multiple trips at once must be catching; as of yesterday, we are planning an impromptu trip in June this year for just 3 days. in hopes of seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade and the Tower of Terror changes (in case they don't end up being permanent). We've already got a two-week trip planned for December 27-January 9 this/next year. AND we're planning a trip in October of 2011, too! Whew! That's all on top of the surprise birthday trip my sister is planning for me. We leave two weeks from tomorrow, and I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally hoping we'll be headed to Disney (as my ticker says). I'll be happy no matter where we go, though, but if we end up with 4 trips in 20 months, I'll be A-OK with that! :)

How exciting to have an adults-only trip to look forward to! Very thoughtful of Rey to allow you to splurge and remind you that you're worth it. It sounds like you have a healthy marriage, and that's a great example to set for your children!

(Oh, and my niece is on the mend... thanks for the kind thoughts about that.)

Looking forward to more updates. I, too, love all the changes! It makes the PTR more fun, and I think it's more true-to-life. Who among us makes plans and then sticks to them completely?

Hey, everyone should watch Hope's PTR for some more changes...I'm pretty sure she'll have some in the next day or so. *maniacal laugh*

I've been doing more disney-pushing, the poor woman is probably ready to kick me to the curb! :lmao:
