So I just heard the silliest thing while on the phone with a CM in ticketing. We have one old non expire ticket with only a first name written on it from one of our adult children, which I purchased. Problem is there's two Michael's in our family so we don't know which one it is. Yes, we should have written the last name on it, but we didn't. This ticket is not linked to MDE since it predates that. I called DVC and they said to call ticketing and ticketing will be able to tell me who used this ticket and how many days are left.
Ticketing said due to security reasons they cannot tell me who used the ticket or how many days are left, only that it's still active. But, she said I can send a picture copy of my ID along with picture's of each ticket via email to ticketing's email address and they'll get back to me with the info.
Does this sound like an oxymoron to anyone else? I should email a copy of my license and my tickets, because that's so secure, but they can't pull it up on their computers and tell me over the phone? ??? How does that make sense for security purposes?
Needless to say, I'd never do that, so we cannot pre-purchase the tickets we wanted to pre-purchase for our family because we don't know which Michael to assign the ticket to! HA, with everything Disney can do, they are seriously lacking in some tech areas. Oh well, our loss, and theirs. Now we just won't buy the tickets and do less park days.
