Monday morning had finally arrived and the day I had waited for for so long was finally here, I would once again visit the Magic Kingdom! Mom, Rachel, and I arrived at the transportation center at around 9:00 and we decided to take the monorail over to the park instead of the ferry because I had been telling Rachel about the monorail for a while now and now she would get to ride it.
When we arrived at the gate I could see there was a moderate crowd again a little bigger than at MGM the day before but still very much manageable. As soon as we got into the park we headed straight up main street towards Cinderellas castle, it felt so good to be back
. At the castle we went left towards Liberty Square, the first attraction we passed was the Hall of Presidents, I had never seen this show in all my times being there due to it being educational and all so my mom said lets go see it.
The first showing wasnt until 10:00 so we headed over to the nearby Haunted Mansion. Hardly anyone was in this area of the park so there was zero wait to get on. I ended up riding alone in my car though because I let go of Rachels hand for a minute and I lost her. After the ride it turns out she fell stepping on to the moving walkway.
After that we went to see Hall of Presidents, it actually wasnt boring now that I am older. It was interesting to see they added George W. After the show I really wanted to ride Splash Mountain because we were right next to it and I had been waiting for months to ride it but it was still early (see chilly) and quite cloudy so I had to wait a little longer So we walked past Splash Mountain for now and headed into Adventureland! My mom just loves the Enchanted Tiki Room so we did that first, it was closed last time we went about 7 years ago. My mom was having such a great time in she started singing along with the birds, Rachel and I had enjoyed the show a lot too.
Afterwards I knew exactly what I wanted to do next, Pirates of the Caribbean, one of my all time favorites. I could not wait to ride it once again. Only a 15 minute wait so we all jumped in line. After having a blast in there we went on the nearby Jungle Cruise ride, the wait for slightly longer, about 25 minutes so we got in line again, the tour guide on our boat was very entertaining and told some jokes that were so corny I had to laugh at them.
At that time we decided it was time to get something to eat as it was almost noon. We searched for a good place to get food for a little while and found Pecos Bills. My mom got the hamburger and fries combo and Rachel and I both got the hot dog and fries with chili on top. The food was great again and my mom loved the topping bar because she could get mushrooms and sautéed onions on her burger.
The sun was out after lunch and the weather was gorgeous so it was finally time for Splash Mountain. We headed back over the Frontierland and Rachel and I got in line, my mom decided to sit this one out, only a 15 minute wait. Rachel was sweet enough to let me wear her jacket to protect me from getting soaked but neither of us got too wet sitting in the second row. She had a blast going down the drop and was really excited once again as we exited the ride.
A trip to my favorite section of the park was next, Fantasyland! There were actually quite a few people in this area so the waits were longer. We saw Peter Pans Flight first and since I just love that ride we went to get on that first. A 50 minute wait unfortunately so we picked up fast passes again which werent good for like 2 hours so we had a lot of time to kill. The next ride we saw was another classic, Snow White. Only a 15 minute wait so we jumped in line, it was just as enchanting as I remembered.
Next we went over to the most classic ride of them all, Its a Small World. There was a slightly longer wait for this one, 20 minutes so we got on that one too. I never get tired of hearing that song. Afterwards my mom said she wanted to see the new PhilharMagic show so we headed over there right in time for the next show in 5 minutes. It was our second 3D movie and it was fantastic, better than I had expected not knowing what kind of show it was at all.
Next we rode a ride I had been waiting to experience for the first time, Winnie the Pooh. Im such a kid at heart
. Another 20 minute wait so we jumped in line, even though it is new it still had a classic Fantasyland feeling which was awesome. After that my mom was having a sweets craving and we went to the ice cream stand next door and I split a hot fudge brownie with her, a wonderful treat. This was also our first run in with the infamous birds. I couldnt believe how many sea gulls were around, then the funniest thing happened. Some poor lady had just bought a soft serve cone and a sea gull knocked it out of her hand triggering a flock of the noisy birds to come over and fight for it.
Finally it was time to ride Peter Pans Flight and we headed over and gave the attendant our fast passes, only a 5 minute wait to get on! My second favorite part of park was next, Tomorrowland. My little Rachels feet were tired so the first thing we rode was the Transit Authority, one of my favorite rides. We all had a great time relaxing while we rode. After that we went for Buzz Lightyear, another ride I had never experienced. There was no wait so we all walked on and I got the highest score out of the 3 of us :-D.
Next I remembered how badly Rachel told me she wanted to experience Space Mountain so we headed straight over there. Of course my mom sat this one out and went to get herself some popcorn. There was only a 15 minute wait so we jumped in line, I told her about how last time I was there it was mid July and all sections of the line that were roped off were full of people and the wait was extremely long. We both had a blast riding and Rachel got excited again afterwards. The last thing we rode in Tomorrowland was the Carousel of Progress, another personal favorite of mine. My mom dosed off during the ride and Rachel was laughing so hard about it she could barely contain herself.
Afterwards we all sat down at a nearby table for a rest and then I told them it was time for our second round of riding all the rides. We headed back to Liberty Square to ride Haunted Mansion again, it was about 5:30 at this time and there was no wait again and I was able to ride in the same car with Rachel this time. She rested her head on my shoulder during the ride which was very adorable.
After that we headed over to Pirates of the Caribbean but the line was 30 minutes and we decided not to ride it again. It was about 6:00 at this time and we just decided it was time to make our exit and have dinner at one of the restaurants on 192 near our time share. We had a nice dinner at Pizzeria Uno. I had an individual deep dish with sausage and mushroom, mom had buffalo wings, and Rachel had a chicken Caesar salad.
