Jay: "Okay good. Yeah, people's reactions to old things can be funny. I think we've all been around people reacting to Mike's old way to know that.", he chuckled.

Hope: "Yeah." She was a little sad thinking about the absence of Mike, Evelyn and Raven. Mike she wasn't quite as close to as the girls, but she genuinely liked him even if he was old-fashioned, the old-fashionedness could be charming and refreshing at times, and he was kind, thoughtful and strong, she felt safer when he was around, like she might feel if she had a protective older brother. Evelyn was possibly her best friend after Raven and Jay, Evelyn was sweet and understood her, and she was the reason Hope had seriously considered a relationship with Jay, Evelyn was always there for her. And Raven was like her big sister. She was quiet, withdrawn, sarcastic and pessimistic, but Hope loved Raven like a sister. Hope thought it was ironic that Raven was always fighting, always trying to protect Hope or defend the world, but Hope constantly worried/thought it might be Raven that needed to be save, and sometimes all Hope wanted to do was save her, but she knew Raven wouldn't appreciate it. Raven liked to insist she needed no one and never needed to be saved or protected.

Hope: She leaned into Jay, accepting his warmth and comfort. After a silence she said, "So who else is excited for the first rehearsal?"

Jay: "Oh really, that's funny. Singing with you is what I'm most looking forward to." Jay kissed her on the cheek. "Oh guys! I almost forgot." He pulled out his Phantom script and dramatically slammed it on the table. "Bam! Go ahead, look through it."
