Ok, this is a strange question, but do they have any souveniers with the Yetti on them??? Or a stuffed yetti?? My son is 5 and not tall enough to ride the EE, but he has a fascination with the yetti, so we thought we could at least get him something.

the yeti ranges from cute fluffy yetis to more scary yetis.

and all of them are...

white.

go figure.

the exposure's messed up, but here's Expedition Mickey holding my little baby yeti.

OMG EE Mickey?! That is adorable!

On my last visit I was tempted to buy the t-shirt that read, "I traded my boyfriend for a yeti"

:rotfl2:

We got lots of Yetti stuff, all at the gift shop at EE :

A beach towel - which is very cool, big honkin' Yetti on it

Winter skully cap for DS - blue with Yetti face designed stiched it, not blatantly (is that a word?)

Yetti snow globe - we had everything here, including about four Yetti t-shirts, shipped home, so we didn't have to deal with the snowglobe issue at the air port.

Oh bradk -- little Baby Yeti is soooo cute! Now next trip (should have been now but :sad1: things happen) is supposed to be my little Stitch plush but I think I have to add Baby Yeti to the list now! As long as I can squish it in the suitcase I will be good to go!

Bought a darling baby Yeti for DGS, at 8 mos it is one of his favorite bed toys. I'm thinking I better call and get another shipped to me as a back up ...
at Xmas they had a santa yeti - very cute.

Yay!!!! I am so happy to hear that, and that little baby yetti is almost as cute as that EE Mickey!!!! Is that Mickey out often??? I love him!

They have a whole store full of Yeti junk you can buy!!!!

Are you sure he will be too short to ride? My daughter is 6 and had no problems with the height..... thought it is a pretty intense ride for a 5 year old:rotfl:

All the better to also sell them at Disneyland, where they can tie in with the Matterhorn (their Yeti is white).

yes, that was the arbitrary JHM speculation. i wonder just how much yeti merchandise is actually sold in DLR though. i'll be looking for it in april, but it's 6 1/2 of one, half a baker's dozen of the other.

and as far as expedition mickey goes, that was from a stint he and goofy did up here in NYC to promote the opening of everest. i'm sure he was around in orlando for the opening, but he's not routinely out in that costume, sorry for being misleading.\

you must be at least one yeti foot tall to ride.

Yeah, he is pretty small for his age. He is only 42" and 34 lbs. And even if he was tall enough, I doubt he would ride it. LOL! The Goofy Gadget Coaster is about his speed (or I guess Barnstormer at WDW). Although this time he is excited to ride Splash mountain and Big Thunder.

JHM said that? I had no idea... it was something my friends and I were speculating. We noticed a lot of that merch had both DL and WDW imprints.

there's relatively very little merchandise that's actually exclusive to either park. even some tshirt designs which appear to be exclusive to the park exist on both coasts, substituting the word disneyland for walt disney world. you'll see much of the theme park merchandise has both resort logos printed on it either on the packaging itself or on the tag.

the JHM answer is found here: http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hill/archive/2006/02/17/618.aspx

his actual justification is that the yeti merch (well, some of it anyway) looks like the EE yeti while the color matches that of the matterhorn's, some sort of compromise between the two. but even so, it's noticeably odd. but from a merchandise point of view, i think white yetis (or perhaps the new pink yeti princess line) is probably more marketable as a souvenir than a dirty grey or brown.
