Going to have more bloodwork done today to make sure the meds Im on arent harming me in any way and to see if the cholesterol/triglyceride meds Im on are working. No foodies for me this morning but I do have my black coffee YEAH!! Im a cranky slug without my coffee ROFL!!!

If we don't go they give the prize to another individual. As of right now we are going. I just need to get an okay from my manager. It is year end here, so not the best time to be taking off. My mind is already in Santa Monica. I don't think we will be able to go to DL. I would love to pay for another night at the hotel and stay one more day, but that is probably not an option.

My package went out Priority yesterday. Mom and Jar took it to the PO b/c when I got there on Sat. morning the didn't open for another half hour and I wanted to get on the road. So I apologize to my exchangee that it went out a little late. Be on the look out for a box with duct tape all over it!! Couldn't find any strapping tape.

My mom said that it was probably a good thing that I didn't do the first ceremony b/c as tired as I was when we got home and as comatose as I was when I went to bed probably would have resulted in complications that day. So we are looking at it as fate intervened to ensure Ethan stayed put...

But shep may be closer to the date than we think. I'm so frustrated this morning that I've already been in tears...(so skip ahead if you don't want to see me whining!) My blood pressure is going up now. As if I haven't had enough other crap with this pregnancy, now my blood pressure is staying over 140 ( and it is not supposed to be over 130!) My hands and feet will barely move as they are so swollen and then last week I noticed that my face is fat! So I called the dr. office this morning to just make sure this isn't something I should be worried about. She asked me if I had been having headaches or seeing spots. I told her no. So then I was feeling pretty good. Then she said, well if your really start swelling up badly your face will become very round and puffy! I told her that several people have commented that my face is suddenly puffy and that I noticed that my cheeks no longer have the little hollows. So she told me that I had to come in today and be checked. UGH!! So as soon as I finish typing this I'm going to make sure I have everything ready here so that if they send me home for the duration I don't have to worry about school. I'm just so damn frustrated right now I can't see straight. And I know everything will work out right and that everything will be fine, but .....UGH!!!!!!!

On a positive note...my best friend who was supposed to leave yesterday took a voluntary bump from her flight, so we got to spend last night hanging out AND she got a free round trip ticket. So she is going to try and convince her bf that they want to go to WDW in Nov. when we go. She already has one voucher on American Airlines and now she has one for US Air.

Woo hoo. Great news Todd. And, as far as I remember, there aren't any cicadas in SoCal.

Santa Monica is about 50 miles from Disneyland. Depending on traffic, it could take anywhere between 1 and 3 hours (at the height of rush hour) to make the drive. Traffic in SoCal is brutal. Much worse than when I lived there in the 1980's.

Hope you are doing well today Liz. I'm back at work early so that I have lunch at Skyline Chili with my buddies. I'll keep a better eye on the clock this afternoon.

Sue called me at 4PM yesterday to remind me that I was supposed to leave work at 3PM. She didn't want me to get stuck in rush hour traffic. She's so good to me.

Jeannie, food allergies come in many different "types" Some get hives (like from berries), others have more drastic ones that cause them to go into shock or have a throat swell or something. Lastly some are just foodst hat make your stomach feel awful since the body doesn't like them. At least that's what I've been told. I hope your itchies go away soon

tc...we may be able to go to DL. We have extended the stay by a day, was thinking longer but there is a more pressing event at your house If the girls want to just stay at the beach that will be what we do, but if they want to go to the park..we will go there one day.

Amanda - Given the choice between attending a picnic in NE Ohio and spending a day or two at Disneyland, I have to admit that I would probably pick Disneyland. The Memorial Day picnic will be around for quite a few more years and the opportunity to visit California on someone else's nickel may be a once in a lifetime chance. Please promise to not let my picnic keep you from a chance to spend some quality time at the original "House of the Mouse" with your girls.

Regarding your question about which is better, California Adventure was still the Disneyland Parking Lot the last time that I was on the west coast. I'll leave the debate over which park is better to those who are more qualified to answer.
