Got my hair done last night. Also stopped at the mall on the way home and got my ear cartilege (sp?) pierced. Didn't hurt as bad as I thought. (I'm a wimp!) Didn't sleep well last night, though, because the piercing is in my right ear and I sleep on my right side. Had to sleep on my left.

Nancy-Hope your kitchen gets back to normal by tonight so you can get all that cookin' done for your DH. (do you have any of those Lindt white chocolate truffles in your suitcase? Those are just to die for! )

Elaine- How's your kitchen coming? No DSL yet Called when I got home and of course someone didn't put the order in right so they are gonna Fed Ex it to me and I should have it by WEd.

Oh good luck with healing that peircing Sherry! If it is irritated, soak a cotton ball in some sea salt water (1 tsp to every cup) and put it over the earring for 10 minutes or so. No joke washing with soap once a day in the shower and doing a sea salt soak in the evening really helps more than any other crud they have out there at Claires and the like.

Hi Rose Mary, I hope your DSL comes soon!!! Weds is just tomorrow so that's not too far away!!! Kitchen is a mess... as soon as the other two outlets are in, we can put the drawers and everything back and it will be a real kitchen again

Morning all. I really need to work, but can't get motivated...better if I am going to get out of here Thursday afternoon for the Red's game then off to Chicago.

Nancy....my sister was disrupted for a week for her hardwood floor, then had to be disrupted again because it was the wrong shade when put against the other floor. They had to tare it all out and start again. She was not happy.

Thanks for the sea salt water tip, Elaine. I'll do that, along with the cleaner they gave me. The ear is doing fine right now. Just a pain not to be able to sleep on it. I should've put it in the other ear.

Busy day today..
Hope to do a couple loads of laundry, mow the grass & do the kitchen floor..actually might put that off til tomorrow since I will be mowing..can't have grass everywhere...gotta vacuum sometime too..

Elaine--rain is in the forecast this weekend?.. ..its in the forecast for the game thursday too...

Mandy still has the sniffles but she is up for school...all she talks about now is putting the game cube in the van for the trip..

Morning, yayas! I've been reading, just not replying lately...sorry.

Ed's been busy painting, so I feel bad if I'm on the computer too long, but I know he's surfing when I'm not here, lol! Front door is being painted as we speak. It looked WAY too light, but it's drying darker. Hope the same is true of the trim, because it's barely off white and the trim is an irish cream sort of color.

Tara, your shower sounds like it was great. I have things I need to send, and haven't due to the craziness.

Bethie, thanks for stopping and seeing me!! So, we going to 'meet' again in WDW, lol?

Sherry, how's that ear? I keep seeing the clip from "Freaky Friday" at work, and they show Jamie Lee Curtis doing that with an accompanying 'oowwwwwww"-too funny! I've got three in the left and one in the right, but I only wear earrings in the bottom hole.

Hope all the yaya's going to Chicago have a fun meet. Have some Gino's for me, Ed says it's really good. The only Chi town thing I got to eat was Portillo's and they were really good!

Todd, hope Mandy perks up some more for you today! Go to Chicago, you won't regret it!

Nancy, cleaning, yippee! I've gotta get more boxes, so I can donate a bunch of stuff...the lazy cleanup for me!

Sherry, if you are not a person for pain, then I commend you on doing the ear up there. Those are some of the worst and most painful to heal I think about doing it now and hten but I hate being lopsided and I hate needles. I admit I won't ever go get a gun piercing again. When I go pick up a spare navel ring, I could always get it done It could heal up just about the same time as my navel then Oh and with the sea salt... if you get non-iodized (sp?) sea salt *that* is what you mix 1 tsp for every 8 oz of water... and the water should be warm. Acutally this talk reminded me that I do need to get a small solution made up for Chicago and DL. I'll need it then as it is a good thing to do daily on a healing peircing (and it doesn't hurt)

Unfortunately, Todd, rain might be in the forecast... they have it at about a 30% chance for rain. I do NOT like that. Just a few days ago it was supposed to be sunny

Nancy, hope all goes well with the dentist... and that your floor will be done quickly so you can clean up again

Suzanne, I have eaten at Portillos as well and I agree, that is great food!!! I think Todd and Amanda would like it so if we can get it, that would be great. I need to find out if there is a way to go from Schiller Park to Elk Grove Village easily though.

Ack! Sherry is a brave woman! I'm still a chicken twit. I've always wanted to do the ear cartlidge thang, but I'm too much of a wimp. I think I could handle the piercing but too skeered that it would hurt forever while healing.

The interview... I dunno Elaine. You mentioned one a few pages back, but I don't remember whether or not you specified anything about it. I think you mentioned that it was funny, but that's all I can remember. If it's anything like the last one you sent, it's got to be good! LOL! The picture.... I haven't done a lot of looking until recently, so it's most likely been around awhile.
