The Wright's 1st Time Staying Deluxe,A September 2010 Pre-Trip Report!Update 9/26

I know I'm strange, but after I posted I read the report backwards, so wanted to tell you how wonderful the pictures were from Myrtle Beach. I haven't been there in years. Also noticed that you are in NC (which is where I Wannabin...LOL). Our son and family live in Kinston, not too far from the coast...... Have a great day!!

So after hearing your plans for Epcot on the 17th, I thought I would try and see if there were any openings at Le Cellier for lunch on the 17th. I was excited to actually find something for noon time. After that I decided to recheck park hours and noticed that on the 17th of September MK is closing at 7pm. :scared1: Could it be that they are going to have MNSSHP that night? I am sure that you can relate to my frustration of these ever changing park hours. Anyways, I just wanted you to be aware. I am hoping that the official dates will come out SOON.:rolleyes1

Have a good day.

Sounds like a great day! :thumbsup2 I am counting on you to take lots and lots of pictures at MNSSHP since we'll be missing it!
Your DD will be an adorable Tink! :cutie: I am surprised that kids are still into Power Rangers. That show came out when Caitlin was little and I thought it was the cheesiest, silliest show ever! But of course she loved it and insisted on being the pink ranger one Halloween:rotfl2:

Also- love the giraffe pic! :thumbsup2

I can def do that for you !

Thanks for all the sweet comments Dawn , you are truly a sweetheart !

I told the kids to pick Disney Characters for there costumes , I know you don't have to but I thought it would be fun to stay with the theme ! Anyway to the point , DS6 is really into action heroes so that's why I think he picked Power Rangers and DS3 is just following his brother , so I'm pretty sure he'll be changing his mind at some point lol

Your first full day sounds like a lot of fun. You will love the party it is one of my favorite extras at Disney

Thanks :) Glad to hear you enjoy the party so much , it will be our 1st of any kind of WDW party !

Hello, just joining up and if you are staying at Wilderness Lodge, you really should eat at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. It is so much fun for all ages and if you do, make sure you ask for the ketchup!!!!! You will be surprised!!! Glad to be here......... :)

Thanks for joining in :goodvibes

We ate at Whispering Canyon Cafe last year and it was very good , so we all about the ketchup ! lol I myself in fact don't like Ketchup so we never had to worry about it .

We have finally perfected our ressie we are eating at Cali Grille, Captains Grille, Donald's Safari Breakfast, Chef Mickey's & Sci Fi Dine

Awe thanks so much we love Myrtle Beach my DH & I have been going there since we were kids :)

We are actually in Jacksonville , so very close to Kinston . Were not natives of NC though our home state is MD , my husband is in Military so that is why we are here .

Hope you want to be in NC for your family and not the area ? We don't care for this area at all it doesn't offer much to do and to me wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the military

Glad you got in to Le Cellier , I've heard it is very good but have never ate there as I don't care for steak that much . lol

I just checked the official WDW website and it is still listing the party as the 18th . On the 17th MK closes at 9 p.m. Hope this helps u out and your plans come in place soon :)

I try to get at rope drop at least 30min. ahead of time. Remember all the turnstiles will open so if you see one empty start your own line.

Good advice. Don't be shy about doing that or going to the far right or left. People crowd up in the middle, and we (along with a few other wise people) will go up and be 1st to 5th in another line. It doesn't make a load of difference, since you're all going to get stopped further in anyway, but being on inside the gates and having a minute or two for picture-taking or just walking leisurely makes more sense than being 122nd in a long line outside the gate. :)

Day 2 (September 18th 2010)

Parks : Animal Kingdom (9a.m.-5p.m.) and Magic Kingdom(9a.m.-7p.m.)
ADR: Donald's Safari Breakfast
CS Choices : Flame Tree BBQ or WL counter service(Lunch)Columbia Harbor House , Captain Cooks @ The Poly or Contempo Cafe @ Comtepoary Resort (Dinner)

Festival of the Lion King
Greeting Trails

We will try and make rope drop for AK and probably only stay till shortly after lunch time .

Heading back to WL at least by 1 or 2 to rest up and get the kiddies dressed for MNSSHP . Then heading out between 4 or 5 to the MK to eat and partake in the party .

Hope you get that Snow White picture. That'll have to be first on your agenda - get in line early and just tough out the wait. Better to be waiting ahead of time and get to do more later.

You're going to love the parade!:maleficen:hmghost:

I hope we do too but if it doesn't happen , it will still be ok :thumbsup2

Subbing. popcorn::

Great plans so far. It's a pain though when Disney changes things on us, isn't it? :rolleyes1 My family will be staying at WL the same time that your family is there. We arrive on the 10th and check out on the 20th. Going for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Your children are very cute. I love all of the flashback pictures that you have posted.

Yay for MNSSHP tickets. I ordered ours for the 14th and have to pick them up at Will Call. I decided to save a few $ and go for the AP discount. I get nervous though knowing that I won't have them in my hand when I leave home.

Can't wait to hear more about your plans.

Yes, it def is a major pain when WDW changes things !

:bride:Happy Early Anniversary !:bride:

We ordered our tickets but could have received a decent discount because we are military had we bought them at the gate also but I didn't want to take any chances , so we will try to get a refund at the gate for the difference :thumbsup2

Subbing popcorn::.

I can't believe those WARM Easter pictures. I am jealous. We are supposed to get a frost overnight here. IT'S MID-MAY! Are you kidding me! Your babies are precious! Looking forward to more!

Thanks for joining in & Welcome :wave2:

Actually back in Maryland where those pictures were taken they also were suppose to get a frost last night too ! I think it was just a flook heat wave over Easter because it is normally still quite chilly until June in Maryland !

Thanks so much , I have to agree they are pretty darn cute :cutie:

September 19th Day 3

Park : Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach
Park Hours : 10 am - 5pm
CS's : Leaning Palms , Typhoon Tilly's Snack Shack or Lottawatta Lodge
ADR's : Chef Mickey's Dinner

In the past we have done both water parks but decide only to do one this year. In all reality though we probably could go with out the water-park and more option , because using 2 out of the sometimes 7 or more extras is really not worth the money to me ! If it means in extra day at Walt Disney World though , we can forget about the money right ? lol Anyway on to day three's plans not sure which water-park we are gonna go to but we will stay till probably around 2 and then head back to the WL to get cleaned up , then off to our ADR at Chef Mickey's . We haven't ate at Chef Mickey's since 2008 and it was ok , no real complaints but my family asked to do it so they shall receive ! After our dinner we will head to DTD to do some much needed WDW shopping .

Water Park Rides :
Castaway Creek
Ketchakiddee Creek

Cross Country Creek
Tike's Peak
Teamboat Springs

DTD Stores :
Basin
Disney's Days Of Christmas
Disney's Pin Traders
Goofy's Candy Company
Lego Imagination Center
Once Upon A Toy
Trend-D
World Of Disney

Now for some pictures of Water-parks & DTD past :

Sorry no pictures of DTD , I always forget to take my camera there ! I will have to change that this year !

Great pictures! :)
I'm sure in the heat and humidity of Sept you will all enjoy cooling off at a water park!

Chef Mickey's is guaranteed to be fun for the kiddos even if it's not the best meal you'll have and following it up with DTD guarantees fun for you!

Love all the pictures :) Cant wait to meet up with you guys when you are down there! The kids will love the over-night guest for sure :lmao:

Great water park pictures! We always do one waterpark per trip and pay out or our pockets for one day passes. It is a little bit cheaper than adding them to our hopper passes. I am curious which one you prefer. We like BB better but I think strictly because I like the theming better which seems like sort of a silly reason. Just wondering what you think:confused3.
