The Wright's 1st Time Staying Deluxe,A September 2010 Pre-Trip Report!Update 9/26

Baseball and tea parties - how fun! What a cute idea to have the tea party! Brooklynn would love to go to something like that around here. Was it a fundraiser for the drama department, maybe?

We did have a very good Easter weekend at our house, as a matter of fact. :)

I look forward to your update.

Thanks for sticking with me :) Hoping to get that update sometime this week , gonna have to make some adjustments as parks hours have changed & so has the dates for MNSSHP !

I am waiting for my TA's quote !! BUT I also meet with The Escort job lady on Thursday and maybe I will be going for FREE!! Decisions !!!!

Going for free would be awesome ! Luckily you'll still have plenty of time to decide with 5 months till September :)

They also but on a live stage show of Beauty & The Beast but we didn't attend that . I'm sure it did provide money for there drama department though :)

Well since Disney has decided to rearrange every-one's plans for them by change the MNSSHP times and MK park hours for September , I'm now at a stand still which is not like me at all , can not figure out how to fix my dilemma ?

September the 17th I had us at AK and eating at Donald's Safari Breakfast @ 8:35 , then attending MNSSHP that evening .

September the 18th I had us at either BB or TL and eating at Chef Mickey's @ 5:05 .

Now here is the dilemma the party has moved to the 18th and I really didn't want to have a dinner ressie on the night of the party , so we could just grab something at the resort and head to the party early , what can I do to fix this any suggestions ?? Below I will included our other ressies in case you think I can make any switches there :)

September 19th Park : Magic Kingdom Dinner ressies : Cali Grill 5:30

September 20th Park:DHS Dinner ressies: Sci Fi @ 5:55

September 21st Park : Epcot Dinner ressies : Captains Grille @ 5:25

Thanks so much :)

Is it possible to get Chef Mickey's on either the 19th or 21st? The kids would probably enjoy CM more then Cali or Yachtsman Grill. (although mom and dad would probably prefer the other two)

Another idea is that assuming they announce free dining...during FD CM usually has a lunch. You could do a lunch in the afternoon before the party on the 18th. That again tho' requires a "wait and see" attitude.

Good luck deciding what to do! :goodvibes

Your 1st suggestion has me thinking does the Captains Grille serve lunch ? I could switch that meal with Chef Mickey's and do a late lunch on the 18th in stead ?

I called today to try and get a 4:00 Chef Mickey's and they said they don't serve to 5 but it may be possible that there times could change according to special events . That darn wait & see ! Dear Disney I need to know for sure :lmao:

Thanks again for your help Dawn :)

If it weren't for your post, I would not have realized that the park hours have been changed. We were going to fly back on the 18th just so we could attend MNSSHP on the 17th. Now my dilemma is whether to extend our stay by a day or try to do this sometime in the future. I know what I would like to do but not sure what is the practical thing to do. I just wish they would release the official dates so we don't have to play the game of "move that ressie"!!

What day do you arrive the 1st party is the 14th if you will be there then u could do that one and then keep your dates the same .

Your exactly right we need official dates "move that ressie" game is not fun at all ! I know some people that are not even able to attend the party at all since they were banking on the 1st party being the 1st week of September and already have airfare booked that can't be changed :(

So glad u saw my post , so now you will be able to adjust :)

This is the start of my new plans as most of the previously planned days have switched days due to the MNSSHP date change !

September 17th first full day at WDW

Park : Epcot (hours 9a.m.-9p.m.) (EMH 9p.m.-12a.m.)
CS Possibles : Sunshine Seasons or Mexico, Lunch
ADR : Captains Grille at The Yacht Club , Dinner

Rides & Attractions :
Spaceship Earth
Innovations
Turtle Talk w/ Crush
The Seas w/ Nemo & Friends
Living w/ The Land
Club Cool ( see if I can trick anyone into the Beverly this year !)
Journey into Imagination w/ Figment
Universe of Energy ? ( I get really bad motion sickness , can anyone tell me what the movie is like for this ride ?)
Kim Possible ? maybe
Kidcot Fun Stops
The American Adventure ( Will try this , don't know if the kids will react ?)
Maelstrom
Gran Fiesta Tour
Character Spot
Illuminations-Reflections Of Earth

This day we probably will eat breakfast in our room and try to make it for rope drop( have never done a rope drop yet , any suggestions on when to arrive ?) at Epcot. We will work through the rides & attractions at the front of the park first . Stopping for every character from there through the World Showcase ! Then head over to World Showcase in the late afternoon checking out every country and making a stop at each Kidcot fun stop. Finishing the night out with Illuminations !

There are also a few things I'd like to check out that we never have before , like:

The Bakery's in France & Norway
Manatee's in The Seas w/ Nemo & friends

I try to get at rope drop at least 30min. ahead of time. Remember all the turnstiles will open so if you see one empty start your own line.

The Rope Drop at Epcot isn't much so if you are there a little before 9 you'll be fine.

Universe of Energy would be fine for you. You know I'm a big wimp :lmao: and the movie there doesn't bothe me at all. The screen just sort of surrounds you.

American Adventure would probably bore the kids but maybe you could catch that as they get tired and while you watched it they could take a nap in the cool air conditioning.

I just realized that not only did my day one plans have to change , I did not included any details about arrival day . So I'm going to include both in this update :)

Arrival Day (September 16th 2010)

This day will be spent mostly traveling to the World . Were driving and plan on at least stopping at the Character Premier Outlet in St. Augustine , FL . This place is awesome if you drive to the World u must stop , it's all the authentic merchandise from the parks but half the price ! (Exit 318 off 95) We will probably arrive sometime in the late afternoon depending on when I can talk DH into leaving in the morning and how fast our new GPS gets us there . After arriving and checking into the WL we will head to DTD and probably eat a CS at Wolfgang Puck Express(the food is amazing for being CS) ! After our meal we will do a little window shopping around DTD and then head back to WL for a good night's sleep.

Parks : Animal Kingdom (9a.m.-5p.m.) and Magic Kingdom(9a.m.-7p.m.)

We will try and make rope drop for AK and probably only stay till shortly after lunch time .
Heading back to WL at least by 1 or 2 to rest up and get the kiddies dressed for MNSSHP . Then heading out between 4 or 5 to the MK to eat and partake in the party .

Sounds like a great day! :thumbsup2 I am counting on you to take lots and lots of pictures at MNSSHP since we'll be missing it!
Your DD will be an adorable Tink! :cutie: I am suprised that kids are still into Power Rangers. That show came out when Caitlin was little and I thought it was the cheesiest, silliest show ever! But of course she loved it and insisted on being the pink ranger one Halloween:rotfl2:

Also- love the giraffe pic! :thumbsup2

Your first full day sounds like a lot of fun. You will love the party it is one of my favorite extras at Disney

Ok so here are some of the places I've thought about making ADR's this trip , still up in the air though since the park hours are not out yet and neither are the Halloween party dates . All Opinions welcome & other suggestions :)
