Well, guess I'll go first since I'm still surfing the boards waiting for my conference call to take place.
I run a predominantly adult casual multi-gaming guild called Northern Cross that has been around since 1999.

Guild: Northern Cross - Guild Level 8 currently
Server: Dragonblight - Alliance
In game contact: "Richardo" (my main) or "Richlove", can also contact Elstayre or Pathos for in invite but need to tell them you know Richie and that you are from the Disboards.

We will accept level 1 characters, transfer(s) and have a probational period for about one month. Also have a dedicated vent server. We are also newbie friendly and will accept children provided they have a parent in guild who supervises them. Have a website but am in the process of retesting templates/portal systems. Basically have common sense rules and try to help each other out. Just request that profanity is kept to a minimum

So last night..I hit 85 for the first time on a toon. Due to my time schedule in playing with DH, getting to 85 has not been an easy road, but we both accomplished it. I dinged 85 in Twilight Highlands, inside the belly of that weird creature with the tentacles. DH hit it immeadietly after, when we turned in another quest in the line.

So now the "end game" begins. We probably wont do a lot of raiding, as we are not in a raiding guild, but will work on the gear as best we can. We still have all of Tol Barad to look into...and finish the Twilight Highlands quests too.

Love it. I beta tested it awhile back when John was first making the guide. Loved it and bought it. It's great and saves you boatloads of time.

I am bummed, the final quest in the Worgen starting area is bugged so I can transfer my heirloom to my new druid or gain xp on him

You could have sent the gear from the very beginning of creating..there is a mailbox at like every town...

As for being bugged...no clue...worked for my last worgen a few weeks ago...I just rolled a new worgen mage last night, I am only 10, so I will let you know if I get out OK

Nothing, that's why I've been so quiet. I've been busy sewing for our trip so I haven't been in game in weeks. My guild leader actually called to make sure everything was okay because being offline this long just isn't like me.

I'll be back to gaming after we get home, I'm sure.

After a certain point, the zone phases so that you cannot access any mailboxes I got my first heirloom last night and without thinking sent it to my druid before I knew I couldnt retrieve it. I even tried having one of my officers summon me out but it won't let her.

hey guys! Nothing much going on here other than working my Holy Priest alt. Got her up to 50 yesterday and actually having a ball with her. Who wouldda thunk!?

On my main we did a little of the Cata Raid trash mob clear outs for practice and it went pretty well. It was quite a crew from several different guilds but we all came together nicely and got the mobs cleared. All in all it was a pretty fun experience. I didn't get any good loot but 2 of my guildies faired a bit better and got some shiny purples. Not too bad off trash!

Yeah I am working on my dailes now...I just started doing the Tol Barad ones...I am also doing some PVP for easy gear upgrades to get me into heroics...I am only a few points short right now.

I have been hearing from some people that its gonna be the WoW killer...just because 1mil people signed up already...With 12mil on WoW...I think we can afford to lose some

There is nothing that special to make it a wow killer.

The concept of basically a tri spec is false because you never have enough talent points to do that. The biggest appeal is the ability to really switch out your souls (think class).

So a rogue might have one set of ranged dps build. He can swap and go melee dps, or even support role with a bard.

There is appeal to that so you don't have to level up another toon.

Mages are busted pretty good, sure they can fix them and get their dps up to warrent their lack of survability.

I did not mind it. Gave it about 30 hours of gameplay on different toons. In the end though, nothing about it would make me think it had even one aspect over WoW that just would say "I will pony up $14 a month for it"

I played Rift as well, and though was happy with some of the graphical enhancements, the game didn't have the right feel for me. I still think WoW is the king of the hill. I would love to see them retool the engine down the road to improve the graphics somewhat but for now it's great. It's like playing an interactive cartoon.

Quest still not fixed. Well, might as well clean up some before the wife gets home. She doesn't know I got off early today

I spoke to a GM, they told me to abandon and retake. I made DOUBLY sure I stayed with the group, hardly attacked..and I made it through...so give it a try
