Kara is one of my fave raids (next to Naxx, there is a special place in my heart for Naxx ). I remember a few months ago, my guild went on a Kara fun run with about 6 or 7 of us.
Mind you, it was us "A-Squad"ers with our full 264 tier gear sets and the like... We went into the ballroom and our gl accidentally pulled the WHOLE room of ghosts on us when it was just him , me and our hunter there (our healer hadn't made it down stairs at the time)... Was quite a sight to see all of us l33t raiders dead cause of a noob mistake.

Kara is an ALL TIME fav..the rooms, the bosses, the MUSIC! I have wiped many a time there at both 80 and 70..LOL

Mine too! I really miss BC raiding! By comparison LK was really lame in that department, especially with the 10 & 25 versions of the same content so that when it was progression you were in the same place 5-6 nights a week! That was more like work than gaming.

Speaking of BC raiding, one night when our guild was REALLY bored (or we were burnt out at the time from trying to get past the LK in the final fight of ICC) we decided to do an ALL BC raid night.. That was some of the most fun I have had raid wise. lol SSC in Zangermarsh is STILL a very uber raid for anyone who isn't prepared for it.

I'm excited... After being with my current guild since vanilla I have an invite to another guild that I've run with. The new guild advancement/guild achievement system means it makes more sense for me to hop, where before Cata I was raiding with them but sticking with my old guild for social reasons, but I think the other guild is a better fit for me. More social, more adult/fewer kids, less rigid, and frankly, I'm excited to be getting away from my current GM who is a nice enough person but holds a grudge forever over people letting real life "get in the way" of the game.

I'm glad that I got invited into the guild I am in now.. I have been in this current guild for about a year now. Before, even though I had decent gear and could pump out the dps #'s (main is a combat rogue), the gl's had their lil 'cliques' of ppl they would invite, and I alas was not one of them.

I am the only combat rogue in this guild so I got a LOT of gear by default. But other then that, the ppl in my guild are AWESOME. I am the youngest person in my guild infact, since this a mature ppl only guild. Most ppl in it are in their 40s, with even a few ppl in their 60s playing.

We raid, but we are casual since everyone in it is married, or has rl duties outside the game.

You couldn't pay me enough gold to be into one of those hardcore raiding guilds.. I have a life outside of a basement.

My kids just got started playing World of Warcraft. My 11 year old bought Cataclysm for his brother just to be nice. After we opened it we reallized he needed Wrath of the Lich King to use it. So SUCKER mom bought it for him. DS9 is one lucky kid! It's not even his birthday!

I thought I'd join this thread in case he needs help. Obviously, I know nothing!!!

Hey my WoW peeps...how has life in Azeroth been for everyone?

DH and I are fast and furious in our leveling our pally/priest combo. We have just dinged level 35, and we have only been playing them almost 2 weeks! We have been dabbling in some WSG and AB as well, and are unstoppable there too! He "hides" in the bushes to heal, and I just stand there while people try to figure out why they cant kill me. Good times.

We need to sit down and finish the Lunar Festival stuff as well, just havent gotten to motivated to yet.

I xferred a toon to Elune, a NE hunter, so I began to finish leveling her last night....using Archeology! Wow, who knew it was so addicting..LOL..

Still no toons at 85..LOL...FOR SHAME!

So whats up with everyone else...

What's up is disappointment. I just left my all time favorite guild that I have been in since August. I was an original member, and I was the highest level of officer.

The GM is a 30 something guy, and he recruited this 22 year old girl.... and she likes to flirt with him on Ventrillo. In 3 weeks she went not even in the guild to assistant GM, and she goes against everything I wanted in a guild. She uses bad language. She talks about sex. And she's just flat out mean to so many of the guild members. These were things that wee absolutely unacceptable to do in guild chat.... until she came along and started flirting with the GM.

In 3 weeks I went form this being my favorite guild of all time, to one I just quit. And any officer who has complained to the GM about her was either demoted, or in one case, booted from the guild.

On another note, I took my worgen warrior to level 50 as a tank.... and decided for sure that I am not meant to be a tank. And,as a DPS toon, warriors don't seem all that exciting to me. So, I just started leveling a mage I had sitting around for about a year. If nothing else, the mage is a money machine... I have a buddy who has an 80 something mage, and he just uses it to make money. Hi says he can make 2000g a night selling ports on the weekend.

I did my first Cata instance... is it called Stonecore? It was "ok".... the final boss was worth doing. Only thing that is obvious is that the made the bosses much harder than in Lich King.

Oh, and for some reason I can't get any quests in Uldum, even tho I did the Hero's Call quest....

I'm TRYING to gear up for raids. Jeeze.. they sure made it where the non hardcore player can't gear up fast with 'welfare epics'..

That's something I don't like with this expansion. I agree that high tier epic-y raid gear should be for those who really put a LOT of time and effort into it, but they should also throw some beginning epics like there used to be in wrath in that don't require a 30+minute heroic queue, or plopping 20k gold down for items.. rant over... heh

I only got to play Sunday this week but it was pretty productive. I got all my EK and Kalimdor Elders visited and started on getting the Dungeon elders. I think I have 4 left. We were doing that at the same time as getting Guild Dungeon achievements. So for sure by next weekend I should be "Elder Cordylia".

Fellow Disney and WoW addict checking in. Run a guild on Dragonblight Alliance currently We're getting geared, doing heroics now, though most of us play casually due to work/Real life stuff.

On a side note, stoked that my wife and I are going to the Poly in March!

Morning Wow Peeps...

Been a semi productive weekend...had some REALLY bad PUG groups this weekend..I mean some SERIOUS crapola...luck of the draw I guess.

The prot pally/Disp priest have dinged 45. We are chugging along, currently questing in EP, and loving it. Hopefully the 60-85 grind will be just as rewarding.

I have been SERIOUSLY slacking off when it comes to the holidays...I think I need to buckle down and get working on them this week...for some reason, just havent been into them since Hallows End..

The patch is due to drop Tues from all I have been reading...hopefully that makes earning Guild EXP easier...we shall see..

So anyone doing anything productive?

11 of us did Old school guild raid achievements last night. Did Blackwing Lair, AQ 20 and Molten Core just for fun. A couple of level 60 members got some nice upgrades.

We are going to try and do some Bastion of Twilight Trash runs for BoE 85 epics here this week. Looking forward to the patch, looks like my pally tank will get buffed

Did do three heroics with a couple other guildmates this weekend. The people we picked up for the other two spots through the dungeonfinder where TERRIBLE. They didn't listen nor follow directions. One of them we kicked and just finished with 4 players

I miss the old school raids...Since DH and I have left our old guilds, we dont do many achiev runs anymore. We havent found a good guild to call home just yet..

I still dont have any 85 toons...I am so ashamed of myself for that...no Love is in the Air boss for me...

We're at the point with our guild that we just need a few more dependable players. We always seem to fall short by 1 or 2 players in everything we do. We've tried recruiting on the guild recruitment channel but no bites. Does any have any suggestions on how to fill spots? How to find the "right" player?! I've got a clever and unique guild recruitment message set to macro and everytime I'm in SW, I put it out there. Im seriously thinking of parking a toon at the starting zones and bribing people at this point. lmao

Oh I've been working on a Holy Priest. This is a whole new avenue for me. Got her up to 29 yesterday. Kinda excited about her.

I absolutely HATE this Love is in the Air festival. Worst one of the year, by far, IMO.

So, on another note, I started a guild with my 85 pally, and I knew it would be hard to gain members, but it is way harder than I expected. We have 12 members since Friday. We had 3 people join and then quit within 20 minutes. And now I know why these folks quit so fast - they only join to see if they can steal from the guilds. Two of the 3 went to the guild bank and took money, which is kind of funny because I have it limited to 2g for new members. But I am sure there are GM's who allow more, or didn't set up the restrictions.

My goal was 20 folks by last night.

Guild levels have some pros and cons. I am in a level 13 guild on Silver Hand Alliance (go Titan Corps!), and love the perks that go with it.

But we have seen new members that are joining only for the level and you have to weed them out. We are not hard core or anything, but we do have certain things we expect out of guildmembers.

I know in /trade you see people recruting and other people comment on the guild level and wanting to know prior to joining. Too me, if you really want to be part of a guild, there is nothing wrong with starting lower level and working it up. Hopefully the patch will even that out some, because there is a pretty big advantage (too me) with the higher level guild perks.

I don't like to see a small, tight knit guild that is dedicated but not huge, missing out or waiting 3x the amount of time.

Our guild is big has a ton of alts that inflates the number so we got our levels thru a smaller number of people that some of the really big open guilds that just let anyone in.
