Ugh, no! We cleared through Sindragosa again but got stuck on Lich King last night, and we were planning to extend the lock but our guild leader isn't going to if the patch drops. I guess dungeons have been so tough on the PTR that she just doesn't think we can handle that level of content immediately post-patch - she said ICC geared groups are wiping in heroic 5mans!

I had really, really, really hoped for one more week so we could get Kingslayer before they screw with all our mechanics. Even Blizz is acknowledging that this patch is the end of 80 progression, calling it a "lame duck" period before the new expansion and telling players on the forums who are upset about the premature end to ICC raiding to "chill a little, sit back, and watch Deathwing destroy your world". Um, yeah, but what do we do with the 7 weeks between now and then?

But MMO-Champion is predicting this week and they're usually dead-on. And I think they're right; Blizz can't drop the patch next week with Blizz-con coming up that weekend. So it'll either go live ready or not tomorrow or we'll get a two-week reprieve.

LK is a tough fight...one of our guild members had the raid lock extended for MANY weeks right at the LK fight...she lost it this past week...not one of her finer moments..LOL..It seems to take our guild a couple of runs to get to LK due to scheduling...

I havent played much on the PTR..I have been in beta, so figured no need to play in the PTR..now I am wishing I would have...

As for MMO-Champion, yea he usually is dead on..I have a feeling tomorrow is also gonna be an extended-extended downtime..possible no play for 24hrs downtime..UGH...HATE those.

I am soooo not ready for this next patch. I'm really trying to get Loremaster on my main before Cata comes out. I'm stuck at 150 quests left in Kalimdor and I'm done. So I am using everyquest add on so hopefully that will help me get over this hump.

I haven't played WoW since April of this year since I was bored with the game but I am looking forward to Cataclysm.

I have two level 80's - Human (Combat) Rogue and Draenei (Ret.) Paladin. I love my pally. She's so much fun to play.

My hubby has an 74 Night Elf (Balance) Druid plus a couple alts.

We play on the Aerie Peak server.

Is the patch coming tomorrow? I am not prepared lol. I got a beta invite but haven't messed around on it much. We were renovating and then my extended family came for thanksgiving this weekend, so I was painting, then cleaning, then cooking, and now cleaning again So there hasn't been much wow time the last few weeks.

I play. Mainly on the server Sentinels with a few toons scattered about on other various servers. I am surprised no one has tried to form up a DIS Guild on one server or another. I wonder how many DISers actually play WoW.

I am looking forward to Cataclysm but I am not sure how much I am going to enjoy the changes. A friend is doing the Beta and he likes it so far. I am looking forward to Goblins and Worgen but I think I may simply roll one and then wait to explore the areas until after a few weeks have gone by and people have filitered out of the starting zones. I remember BC and playing in the Blood Elf and Draenei starting areas were so flooded it was hard to complete any quests.

The patch is now 15% installed on my machine.... I'm very afraid of patches. Usually my computer is pretty stable, but yesterday I had 3 crashes while playing WoW. Each of them happened - I think - as I was crossing over from 1 zone to the next. I know for a fact that I crashed twice while heading into Grizzly Hills. Maybe that is why I always avoided Grizzly Hills.

The toon I am playing most right now is a 73 dual specced ret pally with holy as 2nd spec. But I haven't even tried playing holy yet. I know that when I instance, people will probably not like me too much as a holy pally because I am not going to have to sets of gear to play. I'll just have a mix of DPS and Holy gear.

Cool... now up to 18% installed.

ETA: Found it! Proudmoore realm, guild name Imagineers. I don't know if they're still active or not and can't Armory it at the moment because of the patch maintenance, but if anyone wants to look them up that's where they were at a year or so ago.

Already has been extended to 2pm PACIFIC...so nothing till at least 6pm EST...ugh...and there is a HUGE list of bugs...this is gonna be a rough day or 2

I guess that is why I am getting timeout messages. The patch was DL'd, and installed, so I decided to see of if could actually play..... after about 15 seconds I get a connection timeout issue.

BTW, interesting thing last night. I was chatting in guild chat and I typed in www.mmo-champion.com.... and three times it would not post that in guild chat.

Nervous doesn't even begin to cover it! I've been reading PTR reviews/opinions about warrior tanking and quaking in my boots. I'm not so nervous about my main because even if it takes me a bit to get the hang of it, I'm geared enough and experienced enough that I'm sure I'll still turn out good numbers. Tanking is still new to me and I'm not nearly so confident in my abilities!

As far as how long they extend I'm figuring tonight won't be playable at all, at least not for us east coasters. That's okay, though - I bought a new computer this afternoon and I need time to get everything installed! I can't wait to see how this thing runs; we time our upgrades to coincide with expansions and I had been playing on a computer that we bought for Burning Crusade, but money was tight back then and it was only mid-range at best. I've since added memory and a better GPU, but there was no making up for the fact that it was still a single-core CPU platform. Now I've got a shiny new Dell Studio 9100, Intel i7 quad-core, 8gb RAM, Radeon 5770 graphics. No more turning down video settings to avoid lag in 25 mans for me!!
