If you can get a villa with rooms GO FOR IT! I have a little one napping, and would love to have that option..the rooms are small in the lodge. You will have all the amenities of WL plus you will get the extra room.
Just my 2cents

New to the site and its a bit overwhelming with the amount of info. Just wondering do any of the villas have a view of the courtyard, lake, or MK it looked to me as it they were all woods view. Thanks in advance. Planning for 1/2010

You can get a villa overlooking the quiet pool area, but not the main pool area. Occasionally you can get a glimpse of a portion of the lake, but not like the courtyard view from the main pool area. The villas are on the opposite side of the WL from MK so no you will not see that either. Mostly woods front and back. On the front side closest to the elevators yopu will see the bus stop and some of the main parking area.

^^^ Try to convince your wife to go there. While the food is good, the entertainment is 1/2 the fun.

Iam trying Its because she is really shy but either way can it be done?can u order to your room.

Has anyone called and had the CM note a room preference--- as detailed as woods view 5th or 6th floor, northside.. to face the MK?? We are already booked woods view, but I'm just wondering how likely our request is to be granted? This is our 1st time at WL and we are SOOO excited and seeing the fireworks "from home" would be icing on the cake! TIA:)

Hi there,

The food ordered from Miss Jenny's In-Room Dining comes from Whispering Canyon. So, if you order room service you will be able to get "a taste" of what the restaurant serves. The all you can eat skillet is the thing that you would only be able to be served at the restaurant.

Remember, you can always ask at the check in desk to Whispering Canyon that your wife is very shy and you would prefer to be seated in a quieter section and not to have your wait person do any antics. :goodvibes

Yes, call central reservations and ask the CM to note a "request" on your reservation. North wine, 5th or 6th floor, otter pond view. This will give them an idea of where you would like to have your room. Remember it is only a request, but also make sure when you check in to ask again!!

Good luck!

Anyone have an updated menu of the evening offerings in the Old Faithful Club? I see a list on the first page but it's missing a few days and over a year old.

Thanks.

Hi everyone! Joining in on the thread, as we are planning to stay at Wilderness Lodge, Deluxe Room in the fall!! WL is #4 on our quest to stay at all the Deluxes, and we're excited.

We have stayed Cl many times at the WL (and we LOVE it up there!!) Anyway. There is never really a "set" menu like over at the Poly or Contemporary. We have asked this several times and the CM have told us that whatever the chef is in the mood to make, that is what they have. It is all very yummy!! They do have some of the same things each night. There is cheeses and crackers, veggies and dip, a sourdough bread with some type of spread, and uncrustables. For the "hot" dishes, there is always a soup of some sort and then a main dish. Some examples of the soups we have enjoyed are minestrone, hearty vegetable, corn chowder (so so yummy) cheesy potato. Some of the hot dishes have been, buffalo chili, roasted chicken breast with mashed potatoes, chicken and potato hash, pork loin with peppers and onions, grilled chicken with penne pasta. There have other things too, but this is what comes to mind right now. I know I have them written down somewhere?!? We found the selections to be quite "hearty" and very filling!!! They also have different beer and wines too.

I hope this helps a bit!!!:goodvibes

Has anyone ordered anything from Miss Jenny's for their Wishes Cruise? I was thinking about a fruit and cheese platter or something like that and a bottle of wine or champagne. Any suggestions? Also, I know I have to order at least 48 hrs in advance but is there any reason to do it now or can I just wait until I check in (that will be 72 hrs in advance).

TIA!

My son is a little over 4 feet tall. He is not a strong swimmer. I was wondering how deep the pool was. The GF pool had a large section that was 3 1/2 feet deep. It was perfect for him. Does the pool at WL have anything similar. He is supervised 100% of the time but he really enjoys being able to go in without a flotation device.

I am planning on switching from our usual stay at BCV to VWL. My kids have been spoiled with the beach and sand at stormalong bay. Are they going to miss playing in the sand at the pool at Wilderness lodge? Anyone know if the Hidden springs pool in zero entry? That would surely be much better if they could at least walk in and sit. Any info about the pool experience would be great. My kids will be almost 4 and 6 if that helps.

FWIW, I've never seen anyone mention zero entry at WL.
