Thanks for that info...we are flying SW & we were wondering about checking in too. We aren't bringing laptops with us & I wasn't too happy hearing that HS has a place to check our flight in 24 hrs before....

not a problem...If the concierge desk in the main lobby is open (I believe until 10pm) they will do it for you, if not someone at the front desk will take care of it.

How much is bottled water at the store in WL and at some of the theme park stores?
Also, is the tap water decent in the rooms?

I can't help you with the price of the bottle water but I do know that the tap water is not very tasty lol it was hard to even brush my teeth. . . but that's just me and my husbands opinion.

I believe a bottle of water is 2.00. We always go to the Super Wal Mart and buy a case of water. DW hates even the smell of the tap water.

I wonder if I could fill a suitcase up with bottled water and check the bag in.
I haven't flown in years. Is there a weight limit on baggage?

Hello! Unfortunately, there is a weight limit on bags and the exact weight depends on what airline you fly. We are flying JETBLUE and the weight is 50lbs. It is much easier to order bottled water from gardengrocer or wegoshop or I believe some people have ordered from Staples. Good luck and hope you have a great trip!~!

You can also see the fireworks from the public balcony just above the carport, where you unload your luggage. And no one seems to go there to watch them.:thumbsup2

We where there Dec 7-13 and stayed in rm 6012 woods view bunk bed room and had a great view of MK fireworks, and boat show every night

Could not agree more, thought there was a definite odor and smell to the water. We drove so we had a cooler full of bottled water. We ran out of water on Thursday of our trip and went to a Publix nearby.

WL experts -
to have a king bed room w/ full bath (not a disabled access room), we'd need to book woodsview, would that be right? Also, any tips on what woodsview room area to request?

Any help appreciated, we're trying to choose btwn WL and CBR.

If anyone's stayed at both CBR & WL, can you please compare the pool areas?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reminder! We leave pretty soon so I need to order my bottled water through Costco. Shipped right to the resort for around $7 - love it!

We just returned from a glorious 7 night stay at the WL. There were 9 of us in total, my family of 6, my sister from Ca. and my parents. The trip was our gift to my folks who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. We had a total of three rooms...we had booked courtyard view for my parents and connecting woods views for my family and sister. Well, my parents were given a spectacular "bear face" room with a king bed! It was room #4073 and they were thrilled! They received turn down service every night without a request. Our connecting rooms were #4015 and 4017. We were given courtyard view upgrades and the views were spectacular! We were originally given two woods rooms on the south wing, but when we were taken up to the rooms, we discovered that they were adjacent not connecting. This is important to us because with 4 children coming in and out, it is a real hassle to keep opening the door as they move between the rooms. So, we went back down to the front desk and they offered us the courtyard connecting rooms on the north side! Our bellhop took us back up to the new rooms when we discovered that one of the rooms had not been cleaned or made up from the previous guests! My DH took one look outside the curtain and said, "let's keep the rooms, the view is great!" So we took off for our dinner ressies and when we returned, the room was perfectly cleaned!

We had a wonderful week and truly enjoyed the beauty of the WL at Christmas! My parents loved sitting out on their balcony overlooking the pool and Bay Lake. We enjoyed many fabulous dinners including Artist Point, California Grill, Citricos, Narcoosees, Chefs de France and Brown Derby. At Citricos, we were given our own private wine room in honor of my parent's anniversary. Other highlights included the CP on Dec. 21, and La Nouba on the 23rd, which happened to be their 10th anniversary celebration!

Christmas eve was very special. after our beautiful dinner at Citricos, we came back to the lodge and hung out in the seating area outside my parent's room and drank champagne and watched all the fun in the lobby below...Santa, Mickey and Minnie taking pictures with guests in front of the magnificent tree.

We couldn't have wished for a more perfect vacation!

Anyone else arriving tomorrow or next week sometime???

Does anyone know any companies that make deliveries to WL? My DD 4 will be taking her 1st trip there this May and our DS will turn 1 during our trip. I would love to have a basket delivered to them. Thanks for all the great information and reviews everyone!

Does anyone know?

You can try disney florist-they make up baskets-I have read about another place but can't remember-sorry. I believe they will do whatever you like-not just what's on the website. I have never ordered from there-but some of the stuff looks beautiful!

Hi everyone! I'm SUPER excited to say that I was able to book WL Courtyard View for September. Not only will we be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary but we are really there to celebrate my 29th birthday for the 2nd year in a row if ya know what I mean. This will be our first time in a deluxe and I was able to get the 40% off passholder rate to boot so I'm super stoked!

Question about asking to add the Inner Courtyard Views off Lobby request to our reservation. There is no guarantee we'd get it right?

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of booking a courtyard view for our next stay and was curious if there are any "bad" courtyard views? I stayed at the WL back in Sept and booked a standard room and was upgraded to an amazing room where we could see the pool, the bay, the EWP, and even fireworks. Can you see the EWP from every courtyard view? any floors or areas to avoid? what's the difference between inner and outer courtyard? thanks for the help, we were spoiled last trip and this time I'm actually thinking of paying for it so I want to make sure I get another great view :)

On the first page of this post, it lists that the boat that goes to Magic Kingdom starts only 1/2 an hour before park opening. Is this true?! This seems very late for those of us that would like to get an early start on the day.

We had an 8:10 reservation at the Crystal Palace. Even though the boat to the MK wasn't running, the boats to the Contemporary start running early, I think around seven or seven fifteen maybe. We boarded that boat to the Contemporary and then walked the ten minute path to the MK. You could also take the monorail over from the Contemporary. Or take the bus too as my dear friend stated! I loved taking the boat by ourselves to the CR and walking over...it was a nice way to start out our morning :)
