Tree going up right now
They have the area roped off and chairs around the edges for people to watch

OK. Here's a question :confused3 In the description of all of the things you receive when you decide to go Club Level, it mentions the opportunity to participate in the AKL safari and a meal. Has anyone done this ?? and if so, how much did it cost ?? :confused3 TIA !!!

I think the AKL Safari trip you are referring to is The Sunrise Safari. It is only available to club level AKL guests. Unless something has changed... There was another safari trip that was available to all guests staying club level but I think that ends in December. We did that trip in July and it was great - I would highly recommend it, but alas it is to be no more.
We stayed club level at WL in July, it was great. We were very spoiled and have two trips for next year booked on the club level - Spring Break and Thanksgiving 2011. Hoping for an AP discount, but I know my chances are slim. :worship:

I've only seen pictures of WL and was wondering.....with the restaurants and shops (they seem to be in the lobby) is it noisy outside of our rooms and are there places to sit and enjoy a cup of tea in a relatively quiet place??? Trying to decide whether to switch my ressie to WL and don't want the DH to be able to complain about anything :goodvibes

I just did online checking :cool1:. Now I had requested through AAA inner courtyard view. It didn't say that on the online confirmation. Is it usually? Should I call the resort 3 days before we get there and check if the request is on there? How do you go about your room requests?

Checking in next Sat. Our 4th stay at WL but 1st at Christmas (although we have visited at Christmas). Hoping to spend some resort time to truly enjoy the decorations. Does anyone know when choirs or music groups are there? And is there a PhotoPass photographer to take pics in front of the tree for people just walking up? Thanks!

We stayed there last Dec and they had choirs there and Photopass in the lobby at night. I think the choirs might only be on the weekends but I can't recall for sure..we never saw any performing but there's a schedule that they post. We got Photopass pics done before our dinner at Artist Point the one night and they ended up being the best pics of the trip and we bought the $30 package of them (with the holiday folder).

This time next week we will be there relaxing the WL enjoying the Christmas atmosphere. I will be broadcating live with a webcam from the balcony of my room. I have a Courtyard view so hopefully I will be able to give you a good view it will be on UStream I will post the link as soon as its up.

I will wave to you from my courtyard balcony ;). Can't wait :yay:

Yes, those of you staying at WL early December, I'd like a report about the evening choirs & performers...such as days and times. Trying to get an idea as I'm planning my 2011 trip! THANKS

Anyone know how much less expensive it is to stay standard view rather than woods view....and how hard is it to get a standard room view. I can only find woods view available. We are looking to stay at WL 11/30 to 12/3. Thanks.

Standards are hard to come by since there are only about 50 of them in the entire hotel, and given you are in a very popular week at WL because of the christmas decorations. Rack rate for 2010 would be $275 for woods view, and $240 for standard view.

If you want one, keep trying. I think 5 days out is the cancellation for room only reservations, so try that morning.

Thanks so much....I will keep hoping and trying. The $240.00 per night price would make it within budget to change my reservations from POR to WL :goodvibes

If you are a AAA member, you may be able to get a discount on the price of the room. Although if WDW is running any deals, they are usually better than the AAA discount.
