Have you gotten your documents yet? We arrive in 24 days and we haven't gotten anything yet. We booked like 35 days until our arrival and had to pay in full right away so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it but we got our DME info weeks ago!!

We've had woods before and were magically upgraded to Courtyard but I doubt that will happen given the time of year it is :confused3 We have Courtyard with Bunk Beds. I called and made a request for inner courtyard on an upper floor. I'm not sure if it was noted though because she took the request the same time as she took my one for POP for our 1st nights stay and didn't as for the confirm # for the WL stay so unless they are linked by last name, I"m not sure if it was requested so you might want to make 2 calls, one to add the request, and another to make sure it's there!

Yes, we got our yellow luggage tages ~2 weeks ago, and our packet last week. I've tried for months to just get a courtyard view (no bunk beds) - since it's just DH and myself - but nothing ever came available! We actually prefer woodsview over courtyard view!

We were in the HM room which is on the 7th over WC and the fireworks were awesome. We could even see the top of the Castle from our room.

The 6th floor should be just about the same.

Hope you get what you want. Either way have a wonderful vacation!!!

We are leaving in 16 days - our TE got our ME tags a week or 2 ago and our travel docs yesterday.

I can't wait for our first WL experience!

Just got back from WL and had room # 6039. Awesome ! View looked straight out to pool ,lake, beach and waterfalls.Couldn't have asked for more!!

We will be there for the first time in 12 days :cool1: We have courtyard view. Are there any rooms in this catagory that have the closed balcony? If so, which floor(s) or area? TIA!

And, Annapolis is on our list of places to check out for a day trip!

We just booked our getaway today for 11/30 thru 12/3 and were not able to book the Wilderness Lodge so for now we are booked at PORiverside. While I like POR, I have never stayed at WL and have heard it is wonderful during the holidays. Should I keep trying to get a reservation at WL or is POR just as nice?? Thanks.

The last section of the sixth floor on both wings have the enclosed balcony. All the others have the open ones unless you are staying club level.

You can always keep trying. If you really want to check it out call CRO and ask first thing in the AM. That is always when i have my best luck.

Also you could see if you can book a night or two at first, then add days as they are available. Though your dates are creeping up soon.

If you can't get it, go over for dinner some evening!!!

You should keep trying. POR is probably not as great as WL if you were hoping to stay there. However, I also love POR and if you end up there, try to keep an open mind. It is beautiful!

Thanks.....I will keep trying. Of course, reservations is getting an enhancement since last night so I will have to wait...and wait...and wait - alright so I am a little antsy!!!

Leaving for the airport in 5 hours...tomorrow night will be sleeping at VWL! have a great weekend, everyone.:goodvibes Will not have a laptop but will be home Tuesday - if not one else returns by then will let you know if all the Holiday decorations are up. From what I've heard just about everything will be up by the weekend. :thumbsup2

Can someone tell me what time the carolers and holiday entertainment come strolling through the lobby at night during the christmas season?

I have a question for all you WLers ..... would you spend an extra $433.50 to stay at WL Woodsview for three nights instead of POR (which is about $850.00 room/free dining/2 night tickets?

I really just want your opinions so that I can make a decision....I have always wanted to stay at WL but not sure how much nicer it is than POR.

Thanks. BTW...can we afford it...yes - do we really want to spend it...no, but if I am told it is much nicer...than I will spend it. Thanks.

Personally I would because I think the Wilderness Lodge has a much better theme, atmosphere and overall location then Port Orlenas Riverside.

I've been to both but I'm a little bias having purchased DVC at VWL because we love it so. I really liked POR but IMHO it does not compare to WL. If the money is not that big an issue I would stay WL. That having been said $430 pays for a number of dinners.

Just popping in- I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon! I have a split stay at BWV the first night and they rest at VWL- I can't wait! So very excited! I hope check in is easy and I know I will love it!

Just my 2 cents..

If you are planning on spending time there, then for sure but if you are gone at the parks from sun up to sun down with a little afternoon break or no afternoon break, I wouldn't pay the extra for what little time you'd be spending there.
When we pay the extra $$$ to stay at WL or any deluxe, we give up a day or 2 of parks to enjoy the resort since we're paying for it. We also take at least a 2 hour break each day we're at the parks. At lot of the time we're there in the summer or before Xmas so the parks are open later so it allows us to enjoy the resort during the day and the days that we take off.

Just examples of what we do! Good luck with the choice!!
