Can someone tell me what the kiddie pool is like? We will be there after Thanksgiving so I am not sure if we will be swimming anyway. Is the water cold? I know the large pool is heated.

:goodvibesWe just switched our reservations from Pop Century to the Wilderness Lodge for our Jan trip!!!:cool1::cool1: Couldn't beat the 40% deal!

I have one question for now and I'm sure more to come!!!

Having a three year old it made sense to stay at a MK resort. How long by bus or ferry to mk???

TIA and I can't wait!!!

Congratulations!

Personally, we prefer taking the boat over to the CR and walking from the CR to the MK. You can also take the boat directly to the MK. Usually, the boat rides take about 10-15 minutes. I find the wait for the boat can be the longest part of the trip.

Have a great trip!

Congrats ! You are going to love it !!! We thought about staying somewhere else this year, but the call of the lodge just was too strong! :goodvibes

Thanks guys I have been researching since we booked and I am getting more and more excited!!!!

Can anyone tell me where and when the chip and dale sing along is at?
TIA:goodvibes

I asked this question on the Consierge thread but noone responded. I thought maybe I'd get a response here.

We're staying WL club level in December and are wondering if anyone knows what the food offerings have been lately. We've never stayed club level there before and are looking forward to it :santa:

Thanks!

We just returned from a weekend trip at the WL for the MNSSHP :goodvibes

I requested and received a king bed, with inner courtyard view. Although we had the blocked 6th floor balcony this turned into a fabulous room at 10pm ;) when Wishes fireworks started at the MK. Absolutely fantastic view of the upper fireworks :lovestruc

The WL was also wonderful with food allergies :thumbsup2

Thank you for posting that. I actually will be dealing with that on our upcoming trip, and it's nice to hear some positive feedback. :goodvibes

My best advise is to ask for what you want. They have many allergy safe options that are not listed on any menus. This was a short trip so most meals were counter service. Roaring Forks had their manager come out and speak with me - she verified ingredients and brought my meal out to me - very quickly I might add :thumbsup2

We had breakfast at WCC one morning and the chef couldn't have been nicer and double checked one item I questioned. The food was very good :goodvibes

I felt very safe and taken care of - the WL far exceeded my experience at the YC this past summer in this area :lovestruc

Thanks!

We were there in January and I remember some chicken satay and buffalo meatballs, both were really good! We were only there one night, so don't know what else they had. (drank tooo much wine, so don't remember much else. haha)

My 8 year old son is allergic to peanuts and all tree nuts. When I made our reservations I indicated that a member of the party had food allergies. At each restaurant, the chef came out and spoke with my son. He/she asked about his allergies and then explained which items on the menu were "safe" for him. Or, when it was a buffet, the chef took him around the buffet and showed him the items that were safe. They were wonderful! And, it was done in such a way that my son didn't feel odd about having food allergies.

Also, I have asked to see the ingredient lists for items in the bakery. They have always been very understanding about food allergies. And, sometimes the CM has gone to the back to get a freshly baked item that hadn't been put in the case (where it may be next to something with nuts) yet. It was wonderful to have such accomodating and understanding people since sometimes out in the "real" world people just don't understand the seriousness of certain food allergies.

Will be staying CL at WL for the first time from 12/22-12/28....can anyone who has stayed there recently tell me what it's like?? Only 2 months and 2 days away!!!!! :):):)

Excellent, thank you for sharing. I really love the WL, and so I'm glad to hear you had such a good experience there, especially at Roaring Forks. I'd heard they were fairly good about it at table service restaurants, but I was worried about counter service places, not having heard much.

Ooo, thank you for telling me! I'm definitely adding it to all our reservations so that they'll know in advance, it'll make life so much easier. :thumbsup2

They really do a great job with allergies. Even strange ones like mine. PORK!

I have stayed at WL once (tropical storm in Aug of 08) and VWL (crazy non stop rain end of May 09)....:( lol

Do I dare jinx myself and stay here again?! lol j/k

I am returning for the Half in Jan...solo...and I love the MK area, the WL rates are GOOD..and as much as I would prefer a tropical setting in Jan coming from Chicago area...I just prefer the concept of everything under one roof....the lobby...and the idea I might be able to use the pool, hot tub and enjoy the beach!!!!

I love the transportation to MK, CR....and I would be able to do the trail through FW..which I have been wanting to see for quite some time!
I have already changed this res a few times..:{...lol...from Pop..to CSR...although I started at WL....and now I am back with a CY view.....
I do like the idea of rubbing Humphrey's nose pre race...and returning for photo with a medal:)

Anyone have a personal review of Artist's Point? I'm looking at taking my Mom there one night. What are the not-to-be-missed dishes?
